[top]Pro-Tips

  • Free Play will not count towards your driving mileage.
  • Pressing will change the camera angle to the ball cam or behind the vehicle.
  • To check your distance driven go into your Garage from the Main Menu and use or to enter your wheel selection where the milage and feet will be displayed on each wheel.
  • You can demolish someone by boosting into them only if you make it to second stage boost which is about 46% boost. At the second stage your rear tires will leave a purple trail thus informing you that if you hit an opponent from the rear, t-bone, or front to front collision you can demolish them for a couple seconds.
  • At the start of each game or ball reset (after a goal) your boost will reset to 34.
  • You can jump into the air and use your boost to fly up into the air, however, once the boost has been drained you will plummet to the turf.
  • The yellow pickup zones across the arena are boost pickups that grant you 12 energy points for each standard one you drive across granted it is available. The pickup zones found on each corner of the arena and one on each side of the arena in the middle with the orb balls will count as 100 boost.

[top]Trophies

[top]
Virtuoso
Unlock All Trophies

Boost your way through all bronze, silver, and gold trophies before unlocking this virtual reality reward.

[top]
Stocked
Collect all Items

There is nothing more to this trophy besides playing in 165 matches total through Online, Exhibition, or Private Matches. For every game you complete you will unlock a new item/reward whether you win or lose so it really doesn't matter how good or bad you are. Each item is given at random so you never know what you'll be unlocking next!

To see the items you have unlocked you can enter the Garage from the Main Menu and use your or to scroll through all the customizable options which are as follows:
  • Body = 11 cars
  • Decal = 70 Every vehicle but Sweet Tooth has 7 individual decals
  • Paint = 5 finishes total for both the primary and accent
  • Wheels = 25
  • Rocket Trail = 36
  • Topper = 18
  • Antenna = 34

Note
: To unlock the last Battle Car (Sweet Tooth) you must earn a win with seven of the elven bodies.

Note: You cannot setup your controller with the rubberband method while having held down as you will need to let go of the button to restart the match from an exhibition game, however it is possible to rubberband your controller during your online matches. As long as your car is moving in an online match you cannot be booted from a game unless you get disconnected. Unlike Exhibition games the online multiplayer will go on even if everybody isn't ready and will add AI players if nobody else joins since there is a countdown until a game starts.

Far, Far Away...
Drive a total of 500 km

Prior to update version 1.03 (and possibly after as well), this trophy is glitched (in a good way!):
  • Unlike many glitched trophies this glitch doesn't force you drive the entire 500km instead just a fraction of what is needed. People are unlocking this trophy with about 45-50 miles accumulated on their wheels.
  • As of update version 1.03, the glitch is supposed to have been resolved, meaning that you would have to drive the 500km legit to earn the trophy. This will greatly increase the time to plat. However, some players are reporting that they're still earning the trophy early with the patch installed. Thanks to DaMzee for the tip.

To earn this trophy you must do exactly as the description states, drive! You won't get this from completing your 165 matches so you will need to either keep playing in more matches or bust out the rubberband technique to keep your vehicle in movement accumulating the mileage on your tires.

To check your distance traveled you can go into the garage and enter the wheels portions with or then hover over each of the tires as they indicate how much milage/feet has been driven on each one. Though mileage isn't converted into km you should need just about 310 miles for this trophy to unlock.

There are two methods that can be used for this excessive amount of driving as it will take a large amount of time to travel that distance. It will be your preference if you would like to earn this before or after earning Stocked . If you do decide to do this first you will be putting more work hours into the platinum.
  • First Method is to just play naturally for fun or to just score and drive around the arena waiting for the game to end, however, when one team scores it will stop the game timer for about 10 seconds each time.
  • Second Method requires you to start up an exhibition game and play without scoring a goal so it will go into overtime which in turn sets the game up so you can play or walk away until the trophy unlocks by "rubberbanding" your controller. Use tape, rubberband, hair ties or whatever necessary to hold down the accelerator () plus having the left analog stick pushed all the way to the right or left so your car will be doing circles.

Note
: Free Play and Online game matches do not count your distance traveled so it's a safe bet to stay in exhibition games while accumulating those miles.

Note: If you or your friends check the what's new portion of PS4 a post of how far you have drive will appear when you hit 100km, 200km, and 500km respectfully so if you're ever curious when you reach those marks be sure to check that.

[top]
Super Victorious
Win a total of 30 games across any game mode

In order to collect all of the customization items for all of your RC cars, you will need to play and complete 165 games. If you haven't reached 30 wins by the time you reach 130 games you should highly consider going into an exhibition game and set the bot difficulty to no bots so it's only you playing during the game. This should increase your odds of winning, but will in no way guarantee victory .

To see how many games you have played and won go into Extras from the Main Menu followed up by Stats. Here you will see the total matches played at the top left and the total number of wins as the first stat below.

[top]
Champion
Win the Season Championship

Besides the Exhibition and Online modes, the game also features a Season mode with multiple matches that eventually leads to a playoff bracket. For the fastest method, go with a 9 game season with only 4 playoff teams. After the first 9 weeks are in the books, the top 4 teams would be placed into a sudden death elimination playoff series. If you make the cut, you'll just have to win 2 more games to claim crown and add another trophy to your collection. The easiest way through the Season is in a 1v1 on Rookie difficulty. If you can regularly nail a goal on the opening kickoff, you should have no trouble moving up through the ranks.

[top]
The Streak
Win 10 games in a row across any mode

This trophy comes with ease if you play your season on Rookie difficulty or choose to do all 10 games straight in the exhibition game mode. For the easy way enter Exhibition mode and set it up with no bots then score one time and sit back while the clock counts down to zero. Repeat this process nine more times or if you feel you can manage wins on a regular basis go head and play other game modes but if it fails come back and earn those 10 wins before moving on.

[top]
Helen's Pride
Score 6 Goals in a single game

Hope you brought your scoring touch, as you're going to need it for this one. You'll be going for the double hat-trick here, at the expense of your opponent's pride. A good way to start the scoring deluge is to win the opening tip-off. To do so, you'll need to charge toward the center of the pitch with any and all boost you possess and reach the ball first. If you let off the throttle a bit before hitting the ball (going full speed will cause it to soar off the wall above the goal), you may be able to "kick" it over your opponent's vehicle and into the goal. Easy 1-nil lead. This can be done on any difficulty if playing against bots.

If you're truly desperate to find the back of the goal, you could always set up a Private match with a friend, or even easier, an Exhibition match with no bots.

[top]
Battle-Car Collector
Unlock all Battle-Cars

There are 11 vehicles that you can drive in Rocket League. By just completing matches, you will eventually unlock all but one vehicle. To unlock this one, you will need to earn at least one win with each of the available vehicles. Once done, you will have earned to right to drive Sweet Tooth's infamous Ice Cream truck from Twisted Metal. The trophy should unlock as soon as you earn a win with the final car.

[top]
Drops in the Bucket
Collect 50 Items

Please refer to Stocked above for a detailed description.

[top]
Rocketeer
Complete the regular Season

You will earn this while going for Champion . You can even go the entire season without a win and earn this. For the shortest possible season, set it to 9 games. The trophy will unlock after the final game of the regular season. Here's hoping you made it into the playoffs as well.

[top]
Grease Monkey
Customize every slot on a single Battle-Car

When in the garage, you will be able to select whichever vehicle style you like best for use across the different game modes. In addition to this, you can customize this car with any and all unlocked goodies that you earn from completing matches. For this trophy, you will need to edit one item from each category. Make sure to:
  • Pick a Decal design (flames/stars/stripes/etc.)
  • Change your Paint colors (for both teams!)
  • Change the wheels.
  • Edit the Rocket Trail (new colors and such)
  • Add a Topper.
  • Add an Antenna of some kind.
Once you've edited one of each category, the trophy is yours.

[top]
Pitch Veteran
Play a total of 20 games across any game mode

Unmissable, really. You'll earn this very early into your career, as you need to play 165 matches to earn all of the available items for Stocked . Don't even worry about this, it will unlock with time.

[top]
Rider's Block
Make 20 Saves

This will likely come with time if playing as a goalie against teams with multiple players. The game registers a save whenever you deflect a ball that is heading toward the goal and is within a few feet from the goal mouth. Epic saves are last second tips that deny your opponent of a goal and will also count towards this. If you deflect a ball away and a "cleared" or "centered" message pops up, it did not count as a save. If you're having trouble with this, try playing with larger teams or get help from a friend/second controller in an Exhibition match.

To view the amount of saves you have go to the Extras Menu from the Main Menu and then your stats. Here you will see your total saves across from the career total just under the total matches played and your win/loss ratio.

[top]
Break Shot
Score a goal by hitting your opponent into the ball

This can be rather difficult to perform legitimately. The easiest way to do so is to launch the ball towards the goal and hope your opponent chases it down. As you both near the goal, boost into them to send them and the ball into the goal. If you're finding yourself unable to perform this tricky shot, you can always try with a friend in a Private match. Just have them line up between you and the ball and boost into them. Be sure not to hit them with boost above 40%, or you will demolish their car and not hit them into the ball. This is also available during local splitscreen.

[top]
Turbocharger
Use your Rocket Boost for a total of 5 minutes

Practically unmissable. You gain boost by driving over the gold pads or driving through one of the 6 gold orbs at the edges of the field. Orbs grant 100% boost, and the boost pads give you 12%. Keep boosting with around the field while picking up additional boost to keep up your speed. Since you need to boost to win matches, you will earn this without even thinking about it.

[top]
Drill Sergeant
Complete every Practice Drill (any difficulty)

There are three practice drills that you need to complete in total. To find the practice drills select Training from the Main Menu which will bring up five categories to select from. The tutorial and free play are useless at the moment because we are not trying to complete them at all. Instead we will focus on the Goalie, Striker, and Aerial positions. Each drill will have a difficulty bracket of Rookie, Pro, or All-Star to choose from so for trophy purposes the Rookie will suffice.

Goalie
As the goalie your responsibility is to keep the ball from going into the net respectfully at all costs. During this drill exercise a cannon will shoot balls towards the net for you to hit away. Doing this should come with ease and towards the end have you learning how to line up the ball to push away from the net.

Striker
The striker is your goal scorer on paper although anyone on the team can score naturally. The striker in this exercise is acting like the cherry picker who will jump ahead of the opposing team as far as possible without being offside. Here you will be attempting to hit the ball into the net while the ball is at a stand stall or in motion.

Aerial
This is not a position as it can be used as a defending or attacking method of success since most people don't use it while playing online. The method here is to perform a jump and use your boost to keep you in the air (rocket must be aimed towards the ground surface to stay up in the air) while hitting the ball away from your net or in the opposing net (or anywhere in the arena for any purpose including flying).

Note: None of these drills need to be completed flawlessly meaning you do not have to score the total 10/10 from every drill for it to count. You could let the timer run out on every drill if you wish but it'll just waste time and not provide you with an knowledge on how to become familiar with the mechanics at all.

[top]
Minute to Win it
With only 60 seconds left, Win a game in which you were tied or trailing

This can be fun to earn. When playing against an opponent (AI or other player, doesn't matter), you must break a tie (must be 1-1 or greater) or complete a come-from-behind victory in the last minute. The easiest way will be to play against a friend or an AI opponent on Rookie difficulty and allow them to score. Once you enter the final 60 seconds, take the ball down the pitch and score enough times to take the lead. If you can manage to hold this new lead once you attain it, the trophy will unlock at the end of the match.

[top]
Speed Demon
Completely fill and then empty your Rocket Boost 10 times in a single match

The easiest way to refill your boost is to drive over one of the six gold orbs on the pitch. There's one in each corner, as well as one at each end of the center line. These orbs will completely fill your boost, allowing you to quickly drain and regain boost. Drive around doing this 10 times in a match for another easy trophy.

[top]
Pick-Me Up
Collect 5 Items

Please refer to Stocked above for a detailed description.

[top]
Wall-Crawler
Drive on the dome walls for a total of 5 minutes

This can be earned from any game mode at any time and is a cumulative count, so it doesn't have to be done during a single game. Drive your RC vehicle up onto the wall and with the gravity it will stick allowing you to drive all the way around the arena on the wall. You cannot drive on the ceiling and if your vehicle happens to collide with the ceiling it will go crashing down to the turf. Once you have accumulated 5 minutes you will be granted the trophy.

[top]
Team Player
Play against every team in a Season

There are 10 teams in every season, one of which is controlled by you. Therefore you must play 9 games to face off against each of the remaining teams. You will earn this after the final game of the season ends (assuming you took the shortest option of a 9-game season.)

[top]
SARPBC Forever
Play with both classic Battle-Cars

The classic Battle Cars from Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars are the Backfire and Octane vehicles in the Garage. After unlocking them, you'll simply need to complete a non-practice match with each of them. Win or lose, the trophy is yours after the final match ends.

[top]
Feather in Your Recap
Watch a save file in Replay mode

At the end of a any non-practice match (Exhibition, Season, Online, etc) a new menu will pop up with options to return to main menu, rematch with your opponent and other functions. The one you're looking for here is the Save Replay option. Select this and it give you the option to view it now. Doing so will place you at the start of paused replay of the entire match. Hit play to begin watching and the trophy is yours. If you pass up the initial opportunity to view the replay, fear not! By scrolling down to Extras on the main menu, you can view all of the replays that you've saved so far.

[top]
Winner
Win a total of 5 games across any mode

Please refer to Super Victorious found above for a detailed description.

[top]
Clean Sheet
Win a game without giving up a single Goal

A trophy that should be earned while playing an exhibition game solo with not bots. This will decrease the odds of you being scored on unless you score on yourself during the 5 minutes. It would be wise to score off the opening seconds and the sit idle for the remaining 5 minutes or drive one the wall.

No rush to go into an Exhibition game to earn this though as it is highly likely you will earn this during your season if you put it on Rookie difficulty or during an online game match if you get on a great team.

[top]
Triple Threat
Win a 3v3 game

From the Main Menu select Exhibition and in the team size choose the appropriate size depending on which trophy you're going for. You will need to do 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 for trophies so in what order you decide to do those on is at your discretion. You also have the choice of the bot difficulty which has the option of no bots, rookie, pro, all-star, or unfair so to ensure the win put the bot difficulty to no bots.

The corresponding trophies can also unlock while playing an online match as well if that is your preferred game mode.

[top]
Double Up
Win a 2v2 game

Please refer to Triple Threat above for a detailed description.

[top]
Singles Club
Win a 1v1 game

Please refer to Triple Threat above for a detailed description.

[top]
Perfect Start
Win your first game of the Season

Always good to start off the season with a victory, right? Play your best and try for some early goals to run away with the first game. If you're having trouble winning, try playing against bots on lower difficulties. If you're about to lose, you can always restart the game or even the season until you finally achieve victory. You should earn this when going for Champion .

[top]
Still A Show-Off
Score a goal while reversing

This is a fun little trick shot. If you're playing a 1v1 match, you may find that you have the ball near the opponent's goal while he furiously tries to catch up to you. If this happens, don't go for the easy goal, but instead pull a power-slide with and center yourself in front of the ball. Now for the ultimate insult, reverse into the ball and knock it into the goal. Savor the tears of rage streaming from your opponent and enjoy your new trophy.

Alternatively, you can earn this in an Exhibition match with no bots or in a Private match with a friend. But honestly, where's the fun in that?

[top]
Know the Drill
Complete a Practice Drill

Please refer to Drill Sergeant above for a detailed description.

[top]
Traveler
Play in every Rocket League stadium

You will unlock this during your season, but if you wish to unlock this from playing in an Exhibition match there are only four aren's in which you will need to play on. In the arena selection you will have more than four options but they are a vast variety of time or weather changes within each of the four arena's. These four arena's are...
  1. Mannfield
  2. DFH Stadium
  3. Urban Central
  4. Beckwith Park
You must complete a game on each arena for it to count!

[top]
Tinkerer
Customize one slot on a single Battle-Car

From the Main Menu select Garage. Here you will have seven particular categories in which you can customize your RC vehicle. Each game you play from Exhibition, Season, Private Match, or Online match will unlock a new item for your rides that are completely given at random. The decal customization is the only category that is vehicle specific as you will need to unlock the vehicle specific decals to use them within the appropriate ride unless the other six categories.

When you're ready go into your garage and select a vehicle you have unlocked and an item you unlocked from the seven categories and select that item by pressing . You will know if it accepted your selection by showing a checkmark in addition to the item being applied to your vehicle.

[top]
First-Timer
Score your first Goal

Score a goal in Season, Exhibition, Private, or an Online Match. A score consists of you hitting the mall into the net or being the last person on your team to touch the ball in which the opposing team hits the ball into the net.

If you cannot seem to get a goal on your own setup an Exhibition match 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 with no bots. This will allow you to play a game by yourself thus making this trophy almost effortless. If you happen to score on your own net this trophy will not unlock.

[top]
Barras Bravas
Play an Online game with a Friend

*This trophy requires you to have PS+ and someone on your friends list to play with.*

From the Main Menu press to create a party and invite the selected player from your chat party or your friends list, however, they must be on your friends list for this trophy to unlock. Once you have a friend in your party choose to Play Online from the Main Menu. You can choose to find a match against opposing Rocket League fanatics or play in a private match to where you can set the game settings yourself if you're the host. Once the game begins the trophy will unlock.

Note: This will also work if you're invited into a party so you do not have to be the host to unlock this trophy. Even if done locally this cannot be unlocked in an Exhibition match.

Note: It's possible to add a second player locally if you have a second controller or a vita with a secondary account. That secondary account will need a PS+ subscription or trial in order to play online though.

Play an Exhibition match

Choose Exhibition from the Main Menu. From here you will have a few settings in which you get to choose which arena you would like to play in as well as the team size and bot difficulty. You have the option of playing against no bots at all or by setting the bot difficulty to unfair allowing you to go up against multiple bots giving you a handicap. Just play the game win or lose with any settings and this will unlock once the game has finished.
