[top]Introduction

"There isn't much time to relax when you live the life of a treasure hunter. The ever-imperiled Nathan Drake is at it again, traveling the globe, searching for a lost artifact, and trying not to get shot, all for the sake of his noble (saving humanity) and selfish (impressing a lady) ambitions. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves doesn't veer far from the great formula established by Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, but a few tweaks and a strong focus on details make this a better game in every way. Your journey once again becomes an incredible adventure, constantly thrusting new obstacles in front of you that not only offer variety, but are also an absolute blast to overcome" - GameSpot. The game earned 10/10 in gaming sites and in reviews, and was chosen Game of the Year back in 2009.

You get to play as the cool, and funny Nathan Drake, in pursuit for the Cintamani Stone, which is said to grant unbelievable powers, and life power. You'll be visiting different environments and places in the long search for Shambhala, the mythical city, using the clues from Marco Polo's trip back in the 16th century. On the way as the story progresses, you'll be battling evil guys that are in pursuit of the same treasure trying to prevent them from taking it. Solving a lot of mysteries and puzzles, finding treasures & artifacts, as well as developing new relationships with other characters is the real joy.

In case you haven't played the game before, I highly recommend not using any guide, give the game a playthrough, and have the joy of exploring the unknown, listening to Nate's funny lines, you'll love every second of it, and will want to come back for more. Give yourself the time to appreciate this masterpiece. Now that it has been remastered in 1080p and 60fps, you get to enjoy taking snap shots of the environment, certain statues, and views, most importantly, Chloe's ass . I Just can't stress enough how "beautiful" the game is. Play it, find out for yourself, and enjoy. Here's is a taste of what to expect.

[top]Tips & Strategies

Following the tips below will make your life easier earning the platinum, and in general throughout the game.

IMPORTANT!
  • Crushing difficulty is unlocked from the beginning, unlike the original Uncharted games on the PS3. Start on crushing difficulty as it will unlock all difficulty-related trophies & saves time.
  • Always go for headshots, this will conserve ammo, take out the enemies quicker, and saves your ass through some difficult parts.
  • Cover is your best friend, press behind any obstacle to take cover during gun fights.
  • When taking cover, make sure to pick a spot where you can jump to a cover next to it, or move about. Crushing difficulty enemies tend to throw a lot of grenades at you with pin-point accuracy, this will help you to avoid dying because of a thrown grenade.
  • Always scavenge areas for ammo after the fight is done, making sure you're ready for the next battle.
  • Try finishing areas with stealth attacks, as a character dialog will prompt it. Be as subtle as you possibly can. This will help you get done faster, and save the trouble of having to fight more enemies.
  • Progress through after taking out the first or second wave of enemies. Some spots in the game have an infinite spawn, so enemies will keep coming until you progress.
  • Pay attention to the surroundings and the music in-game. Only go out of cover if you're sure the enemies in that area are all dead. Usually the music changes or a dialog will trigger after you're done fending off the waves of enemies.
  • If you see a spot or a cover point with many enemies behind it, don't be afraid to use your grenades.
  • When the heavy shows up, knock their helmets off with a headshot, and easily kill them. Throwing a grenade at them will slow them from getting close to you.
  • Stand at the back, rather than staying in the middle. Waves of enemies will tend to spawn from everywhere, only progress when its safe.
  • If you get a new gun, and a trophy is required for it, get the kills with it, via restarting checkpoint. This way farming the kills will be easier.
  • Save your strongest weapons and one-shot kill pistols for stronger enemies and heavies, or enemies that need to be taken out fast.
  • Always take out the grenade launcher guys first, then the snipers. Do this as quickly as possible, as they can kill you easily while you're busy shooting at normal enemies.
  • When your health is low and the screen is black & white with a heart-beat sound in the background, never go out of cover. You die really fast; heal up first, then continue on fighting.

Note

There will be few spoilers in certain trophy descriptions, and in the Treasure Guide. I highly recommend playing the game at least once before using this guide if you've never played Uncharted before.

[top]Roadmap

On this step, you'll want to start the game on crushing, as it isn't that hard, might give some trouble in a couple of spots, but nothing too bad. During this step, make sure to collect all the treasures along the way. I've written a very detailed Treasure Guide below, and included a video walkthrough made by PowerPyx. Following these, you should have most of the trophies by the end of the game, including all of the difficulty-related trophies. As well as most of the kill related trophies too.

Trophies to be earned during this step:
Charted! - Easy
Charted! - Normal
Charted! - Hard
Charted! - Crushing
First Treasure
Novice Fortune Hunter
Intermediate Fortune Hunter
Proficient Fortune Hunter
Expert Fortune Hunter

Master Fortune Hunter
Relic Finder
Master Thief Collection

As well as most of the other trophies from list. You can get them all on this playthrough except maybe for Survivor , but you can attempt it if you like, it shouldn't give you too much trouble.

This step will take around 7-8 hours depending on skill. You should just really focus on finishing the game and getting the treasures, nothing else.

Go for the speed run-related trophies. There are only 3 in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered, which requires you to finish a certain chapter under a certain time. You can only attempt this on Speed Run mode. You can't get it by simply plaything through the chapter on campaign mode. You can't use tweaks either. Simply finish the 3 required chapters, and you'll be getting the trophies. This was put as the second step as having played the game once at least previously will give you a good knowledge of the levels and objectives and where you need to go, so when playing the speed run mode, you'll be quicker about it.

This step shall earn you:
Staying Dry
Quick Jaunt Through a Warzone
Bullet Train From Hell

This step should take you around 30 minutes only.

Cleanup. This step isn't actually required if you've gotten everything in step one, but certain trophies might give you trouble, and you can attempt it after finishing the game on easy mode, like Survivor , which is much easier here, and will save you time. Also the weapon kills, if you're missing a trophy for a certain weapon, you can earn it during this step.

This step shall earn you all of the weapon kills-related trophies, as well as the misc (miscellaneous) trophies that you've missed out on.

This step should take you less than an hour.

Congratulations, you've completed one of the best games of all time.

Finish the Game on Crushing Without Changing the Difficulty

With the Remastered versions of the games, a new difficulty was introduced, which is Brutal. As far as the platinum trophy, you'll only need to beat the game on the second hardest difficulty setting.

Crushing difficulty isn't too bad, or something undoable. It's actually quite easy with the exception of a few fights here and there. You might also die a few times. The key for crushing is patience.

Here is how you should go about this:
  • Cover should be taken and "hugged" the whole time you're in a gun fight. Press behind any obstacle to take cover during gun fights. Never get out of cover while going on this difficulty unless you're sure not anymore enemies are left.
  • Pay attention to the surroundings, always have an escape route ready in case things get too messy.
  • Pay attention to the dialog, if Drake or the character with him imply you can use stealth, do so. If some enemies get alerted, that area will be full of them, which will only make your life more miserable than it already is.
  • Progress through after taking out the first or second wave of enemies. Some spots in the game have infinite spawn points, so enemies will keep coming until you progress. That being said, make sure its with caution, and make sure you're progressing through the right period of time (aka after killing the last guys before the new one spawns).
  • I can't stress enough how important patience is. If you rush, you will end up dead. It only take 3-5 shots to kill you on crushing. You die pretty damn quick, so be PATIENT!
Note: You should refer to Tips & Strategies above as it has more tips for how to go about crushing. The ones that are mentioned here are just a bonus for crushing.

If you're having a bad time with crushing (shouldn't really happen), you can stop focusing on doing other trophies, and just focus on completing the objective. There's always time after you've beaten the hard part.

I personally like to keep ONE guy alive before progressing. Taking all of them out might up the progression, and the new wave will spawn and kill you quickly, so I usually keep one alive, stack up for ammo, stay in the best possible cover, then take him out.

If you die in a spot more than once, learn from your mistake. Start memorising the spawn points of enemies, and how they move about. Stay focused, and don't give up. If one strategy isn't working, simply try another one. There are countless ways of how to get a fight done.

Ultimately, if you're still having some issues with some parts, you can PM me (DarkFox) and I'll help you out through it, or post on the guide if you're facing so other issues. It won't happen though if you follow everything that's mentioned above.

Good luck!!

250 Headshots
Kill 250 Enemies with Headshots

This trophy is quite simple, it'll just take you a while. I got this towards the end of the game, at chapter 22. I wasn't even going out of my way and purposely getting headshots, you'll simply earn this just by playing the game.

Getting headshots is really important if you're playing on Crushing difficulty or Brutal. This way you'll take out the enemies much quicker, and stop them from advancing to your position trying to take you out. It will also conserve the ammo you got. I usually always aim for headshots on sniper rifle guys, and grenade launcher guys, as if you don't take out those quickly, they will always kill you. The next type of enemy you'd want to aim for headshots at are the heavies. The heavies usually hold a shotgun, or a rifle, and they will progress to your location and take you out. Those guys take a ton of bullets, especially if you're playing at a high difficulty, so you'd want to keep shooting their heads, until the helmet gets knocked off. When you see the white cover on their head, you can simply just headshot them, and they will end up dying with 1 bullet.
If you're in an area full of enemies, pick them off one by one, each with a headshot, so you don't get rained on with bullets as staying out of cover for a long time will result in you dying.

Its easier to get headshots with your pistols instead of the assault rifles and other weapons. The best gun I personally found that I got comfortable with is the 92FS-9mm, and the M4. The accuracy on those two guns is really high, so preferably use them to make it easier for you.

[top]
Headshot Expert
Kill 5 Enemies in a Row with Headshots

I got this without even trying, as I got to a difficult battle in chapter 4, beginning of it, and there were a lot of enemies. I simply started picking them off one by one with headshots, as staying out of cover for a long time will result in you dying.

This can be attempted at any point in the game, as enemies will come at you in waves. The trick here is to wait until the soldier is standing still, simply pop your head out of cover, quickly aim for his head, and shoot. You'll need to do this 5 times in a row, without killing someone in the middle by other means, and without dying or restarting a checkpoint.

Usually when in cover, enemies tend to leave their heads wide open and out of cover, so you can get them when they go into cover, its pretty easy. A good place this can be attempted at, is chapter 4, where you're in the tent and Sully is helping you shooting them with his sniper. Another spot is chapter 6, there will be massive waves of enemies. Chapter 22 is another great place to get it, as those guys will be in towers, and you'll have the dragon sniper as well. Simply aim for the head, and do that 5 times in a row. There are countless spots, but I've mentioned the ones that are the easiest to get the trophy on.

If you're finding some difficulties performing this, switch the difficulty to easy, take your time, and do it. On easy difficulty you can take a lot of bullets, so you don't really have to worry about that. Load any chapter of the ones mentioned above, set difficulty to easy, take your time, and get 5 headshots in a row.

Bare-knuckle Brawler
Defeat 20 Enemies with Hand-to-Hand Combat

Refer to Bare-Knuckle Slugger .

[top]
Bare-knuckle Slugger
Defeat 50 Enemies with Hand-to-Hand Combat

You'll get this by naturally progressing through the game. Hand-to-hand combat is when you get close to an enemy and tap multiple times, make sure to dodge with in case you see an enemy attack coming. The game will prompt is and slow down, but if you're playing on crushing, no prompts will be shown, so just get the timing right. Stealth kills are considered hand-to-hand combat as well, so coming from behind an enemy and taping once will do the trick as well.

The best spot to farm for melee kills is in chapter 2. You'll get to the second courtyard area, with the fountain in the middle, and there are about 7-8 guys you can kill there with stealth. Simply when Flynn climbs up to the window, don't follow him, instead restart checkpoint. Even though you shouldn't really farm for it, as you'll kill hundreds of guys progressing through the game with hand-to-hand combat. Just in case you want to get this out of the way, that's the spot to do it.

Chapter 6 is another great area for hand-to-hand combat, as there will be a ton of enemies there. I naturally got this on chapter 4 without even having to try for it.

Refer to Bare-Knuckle Expert for more tips.

[top]
Bare-knuckle Expert
Defeat 10 Enemies in a row with Hand-to-Hand Combat

You'll earn this without even realising just by going through chapter 2. Simple, kill 10 enemies in a row with hand-to-hand combat.

At the beginning of the chapter, the game will prompt you to take out a guard, then you'll get to the first courtyard area, and take out 2 more guys. The second courtyard area will have about 8 guys you can take out with stealth. Make sure not to fail a checkpoint or get caught. You'll need to do this in a row.
  • The trick for the second courtyard area is to go right, you'll see Flynn taking cover, drop down and hide behind the pillar. Wait for the first guy to move, then sneak up on him and tap .
  • Now get to the fountain area, take cover, and sneak up on that guy in the fountain as well, and stealth-kill him.
  • Move up to the right, and hang from the ledge there and quickly tap to kill the third guy in that area. Don't get caught, as soon as you jump take him out, otherwise he'll trigger the alert.
  • Now a mini cut-scene will trigger, where you'll see two guys come out, one will be waiting near the stairs, and the other one will be at the end of that platform. Sneak up on one of them and kill him, Flynn will kill the other person.
  • Now go to the left, and you'll see two enemies standing there, take out the one that's furthest to the left, don't worry the guy on the pillar won't see you.
  • Now take out the guy that's standing next to the pillar.
  • Finally, backtrack to the ledge, where Flynn killed the other guy, go to the end and instead of climbing up on the platform, don't follow Flynn, instead drop down behind the last guard and take him out.
This should give you more than 10. In case you failed, you can restart the chapter. It's short and easy, as these spots are in the beginning.

Another spot you can attempt this is on chapter 6, however make sure the difficulty is set easy, so the other guys won't kill you.

Chapter 4 is another place, where you can attempt this, right when the chapter starts, there are 4 guys there that you can take out with stealth, then move to the tent, after the cut-scene, a lot of enemy waves spawn, simply go out of cover and kill another 6. This should easily give you the trophy.

[top]
Dyno-Might Master
Kill 5 Enemies with 1 Explosion

You'll need to kill 5 enemies with a single explosion, be it a grenade, or shooting a propane tank, or with a grenade launcher, or using an RPG-7.

The first spot where you can attempt this in the game is in the beginning of Chapter 6. Chloe will ask you to take the guy on the truck holding the RPG-7, then she'll start helping you killing these large amount of enemy waves the spawn in that area. Finish up all the enemies in the area, go to the truck, pick up the RPG-7, it should have 2 shots, keep them don't waste a single one. Progress to the area in the middle, there will be few enemies left there, take them out quickly with your hand gun, then the game will give you a hint prompt by pressing on the D-Pad. Press it, and you'll see another truck loaded with enemies coming, switch to your RPG-7 fast, and take it out. The truck has about 5-6 guys in it, earning you the trophy.

The other spot you can attempt this in, is in the beginning of Chapter 12, right after the cut-scene, the game will take you to an area where there is a group of 5 enemies in a small circle, quickly equip the RPG-7 from the start menu (Bonuses > Rewards > Weapons > RPG-7 > Give Weapon). This can only be attempted after having finished the game once at least.

Note: You can keep the other shot from the RPG-7 that you got in chapter 6 to take out the wave of enemies that spawns across the street with it, this way farming the 30 Kills: RPG-7 . Press start, then choose Restart Last Checkpoint, and repeat it, or simply let someone kill you. This should give you the trophy after 3-4 tries.

[top]
Hangman
Kill 20 Enemies with Gunfire While Hanging

For this trophy, you'll need to be hanging from a ledge, aiming with the (or ), and shooting enemies.

Simple enough, get 20 kills while hanging and shooting. The spot I've done it in is in Chapter 5. After meeting Chloe in Nepal for the first time, she'll take out the truck for you, then you'll need to open the door for her from the other side. Climbing all around, you'll reach a point where you're hanging from behind a sign, and down under, about 4 enemies will spawn. Kill aa of them, then 2 more guys, 1 with a shield will spawn after you take out the first 4. Kill everyone on the ground, by this time you'll be out of bullets, let the last 2 guys that spawns on top of a building across take you out, and repeat until you've got 20 kills.

There are many other spots in the game, but this is one of the earliest ones you get to, even though doubt you'll need to farm for the kills, as 20 kills will come by naturally progressing through the game, however if you want to get rid of it fast, this is the earliest spot you can attempt it in.

Note: Before leaving the room, on the green washing machines, there's a couple of grenades, and a Wes-44. Pick those up before leaving the room and climbing to the other side. The Wes-44 is a one-shot kill weapon, which will make the process faster for you. Also its a good spot to farm the kills for that weapon, and getting the 30 Kills: Wes-44 . The grenade can also be used to get the Grenade Hangman , as well as 30 Kills: Mk-NDI in case you haven't earned it earlier in chapter 4.

[top]
Grenade Hangman
Kill 10 Enemies with Grenades While Hanging

Refer to Hangman .

There are a lot of other spots in the game, but this is the earliest spot you can attempt it at. In each checkpoint, you'll get about 4-6 kills. So you'll only need to repeat that checkpoint twice or 3 times in case you messed up.

[top]
Run-and-Gunner
Kill 20 Enemies by Shooting from the Hip (without aiming)

For this one, you'll need to shoot by holding down the button (or if you're using PS4's settings) without aiming with the (or if you're using PS4's settings), and kill 20 enemies with this method.

There are a lot of spots in the game, where you need to shoot without aiming, especially when platforms are moving, like in chapter 7 and 8. Chapter 25 as well, when the guardians attacks. Drake will start shooting in the direction the camera is facing, and usually if you're close to an enemy, it'll auto aim at him. The game will prompt you to do so in many spots. Getting 20 kills ins't much. In case you've finished the game and didn't earn this one yet, simply load up chapter 4 or chapter 6, and kill a few enemies and the trophy will certainly pop.

This shouldn't really give you any trouble. Setting the difficulty to easy can make the process a lot quicker. If you're about to die, don't be shy from taking cover until your health is back to normal, then keep doing this.

Note: Shooting without aiming from behind cover doesn't work for this trophy, you'll need to be OUT of cover and "running".

[top]
Steel Fist Master
Kill 20 Enemies with a Single Punch After Weakening Them with Gunfire

Refer to Steel Fist Expert , as only attempting that trophy should earn you this one.

[top]
Steel Fist Expert
Kill 10 Enemies in a Row with a Single Punch After Weakening Them with Gunfire

This might be the only trophy that'll give you a bit of trouble in the entire game.

Steel-fist combo is when you run-n-gun enemies with just 1 or 2 bullets, then finishing them off with a melee attack. You'll need to be moving out of cover towards the enemy, shooting at him, but making sure not to kill him, then tap once to take him out. Do this 10 times in a row, and the trophy is yous.

The difficult part about this is actually succeeding the steel-fist combo 10 times in a row. I had to repeat a couple of times before I got it right.

The way you'll need to go about this is to:
  • Make sure you're using a weak gun, as using a strong gun can kill them without you even realising, which will make you fail and repeat.
  • Use a pistol instead of a sub-machine gun or a rifle.
  • I personally used the .45 Defender as it's the weakest gun in the game.
  • Shoot only 1 bullet when you're close. Some enemies die when I shot two times at them, which messed up the streak.
  • Make sure to shoot the enemy before getting into his range of melee attack, as they will attack you with hand-to-hand combat if you're too close.
  • Shoot that enemy as you're walking towards him, and him only.
  • Try avoiding enemies that are in groups together, the game will tend to fuck you up when tapping by attack another enemy.
  • Don't shoot and wait, it won't work this way, you'll need to shoot, and right after perform the attack.
  • Don't attempt killing an enemy with this method from behind, as Drake will perform a stealth kill on him instead of a steel-fist combo attack, which will ruin your streak, and you'll have to try from the beginning.
  • If you felt like you've fucked up on a certain kill, and didn't get it as a steel-fist combo kill, restart checkpoint. 10 enemies with this in a row is a lot, and you might run out of enemies by the time you're restarting the streak.
  • Watch out for your partner, if Chloe or whoever was with you at that time, and shot the enemy a lot, if you shoot him once you'll die.
  • Make sure you're on the same level, especially not below, as Drake tends to throw them off, which sadly does not count towards this.

How to know if Drake performed it right:
  • He'll jump and punch him in the face, with a special sound even, and the game will slow down a bit.
  • Slide under the enemy and punch him in the balls, with the same effect mentioned above.
  • If you're on higher ground, he'll kick the enemy in the face (This might not be due to steel-fist, so be careful).
  • He'll punch the enemy hard next to a way or an obstacle, and the enemy will turn around and fall. This does count.

Tips in case you've messed up:
  • If Drake didn't perform any of the above, right away, restart checkpoint.
  • If Drake got too close and you went into hand-to-hand combat mode, simply press and roll away from that fight.
  • Make sure not to kill anyone with bullets or any other means. It'll ruin the streak.
  • If you shot an enemy once, then when you came to punch him, you went into hand-to-hand combat, back off, and DO NOT attempt it with that enemy again, he'll simply die with 1 bullet. This usually happens with the guys wearing black, as they tend to have more health/armour.
The best spot to get this is in chapter 6 or chapter 4. I, however, highly advice doing it on chapter 4. In chapter 6, Chloe will be shooting, and throwing grenades and shit, so this was annoying, as I reached to the 7th or 8th guy, and he'd simply die in one shot. Chapter 6 does have more enemies than 4, but its harder to get it there. Also, there are stairs and you're not generally on the same level with enemies the whole time. Drake might throw someone off, and this DOES NOT count towards the streak.

In chapter 4, take out the first 4 enemies with steel-fist combo, which will give you a head start, when the enemies spawn, you'll only need 6 more. However if you messed up, don't worry, as way more than 10 enemies will spawn at you. The guys wearing black might give you some trouble, so shoot them twice, as they got more armour on them. Also, a final tip, make sure you're on the same level with them, so Drake doesn't kick them off.

Note: The only tweak I advice using while going for this, is the infinite ammo tweak. You can't use one-shot kill, as it won't work. & I highly suggest not to use the fast-motion tweak as you'll need to take as much time as possible to get it right, the fast motion tweak will speed things up, and turn the odds against you.

[top]
Master Ninja
Kill 50 Enemies by Melee-Attacking from Behind

You'll earn this trophy without even realising. This is one of the things that you get by naturally progressing through the game. The game will prompt you to take out someone with stealth more time throughout than I remember or mention.

Simply coming behind an enemy without him realising and tapping once. Drake will perform a stealth kill. If you're in cover, you can also perform a stealth kill by pulling them around the box/obstacle. If you're waiting in cover while standing, and someone walks towards you, keep waiting, you'll notice a change in Drake's animation, simply tap to perform the stealth kill.

If you're playing on Crushing, I highly advice finishing most of the areas without alerting anyone, as this will make less enemies spawn, saves you ammo, and time. It'll simply make your life easier. Many times the person with you will prompt you to use stealth via dialog, or even Drake himself, saying something like "I'll need to go quietly" or "Be subtle about it". When such dialog triggers, you should know that the area you're in can be passed without shooting a single bullet.

If you want to farm this, a great spot is chapter 2. Technically the whole chapter you'll be taking out guards with stealth attacks.

Here's a stealth walkthrough for the chapter:
  • At the beginning of the chapter, the game will prompt you to take out a guard, then you'll get to the first courtyard area, and take out 2 more guys. The second courtyard area will have about 8 guys you can take out with stealth.
I really doubt you'll need to restart checkpoint in order to farm this, and I highly advice against it, as you'll be wasting time, because this trophy will simply pop just by naturally progressing throughout the game.

Survivor
Kill 75 Enemies in a Row Without Dying

For this one, you'll need to kill 75 enemies in a row, without dying or restarting a checkpoint. There are two ways to go about this trophy.

You can either load up chapter 6, or 19, as these two chapters got a ton of enemies, equip infinite ammo, and One-Shot kill, set the difficulty to easy, and blast through it. Your only threat will be failing during platforming, as there's no way you're gonna die in gun fights since the difficulty is set to easy, and you kill everyone with one shot.

The second method I found is to load up chapter 11, where you need to save Jeff throughout the whole chapter, but in the very beginning, don't follow the path, instead stand there, equip infinite ammo, and One-Shot kill as well, and just keep killing the guys that are dropping down from a ledge. It's an infinite spawn point in the game, where you can use it to your advantage. Unfortunately, you can't farm weapon kills with that method in the that chapter, as you can only use your handgun.

Doing this with the second method should take no longer than 5 minutes.

Note: If your first playthrough is on easy or normal, this should come in natural progression without having to even worry about it.

Just make sure to:
  • Not to miss a jump or fail platforming.
  • Always stay behind cover in gun fights.
  • Be patient, and don't rush through the fight trying to end it quickly.
  • Wait to heal in case you're hurt.
  • Scavenge the areas after battles to stack up on ammo.

30 Kills: Mk-NDI
Kill 30 Enemies with Mk-NDI Grenades

You shouldn't even really try to grind for this. You'll be using your grenades a lot through the game, especially on crushing. You'll first be given grenades in chapter 4.

However if you want to farm this, you can refer to Dyno-Might Master , Hangman , Grenade Hangman , or to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
30 Kills: Desert-5
Kill 30 Enemies with the Desert-5

The desert eagle is first found in chapter 19. You'll be using this gun a lot from that point towards the end, as it's a one-shot kill weapon. Again, I don't advice attempting it, as you'll get the kills naturally progressing. You'll get 7 bullets in each clip.

However if you want to farm this, you can refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
30 Kills: Wes-44
Kill 30 Enemies with the Wes-44

The first time this weapon is found is during chapter 3. Like the Deagles, you'll be using the Wes-44 a lot, as its a one-shot kill weapon.

However if you want to farm this, you can refer to Hangman , or to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
50 Kills: Dragon Sniper
Kill 50 Enemies with the Dragon Sniper

This gun becomes usable for the first time at the end of chapter 12.

You'll be stuck in a railway wagon waiting for Elena to save you, and enemies will keep on spawning, while you need to hold your own until the help arrives. There are 3 Dragon Snipers available, each one has a mag of 5 bullets. The Dragon Sniper is a one-shot kill weapon, so you can farm 15 kills before getting yourself killed or restarting checkpoint, should make an easy and quick farm. Simply repeat about 4 times, and the trophy should be yours.

You can also refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
50 Kills: 92FS-9mm
Kill 50 Enemies with the 92FS-9mm

This will be your main gun in the game, and will probably have the most kills with. The 92FS-9mm pistol will be available in chapter 6, and from there on wards, you'll be using it as your main pistol. It's very strong, with good accuracy, and can take out enemies with 3 shots to the chest. You really don't have to farm any kills for this gun.

However if you want to, refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide. I highly doubt that will be the case though.

[top]
50 Kills: M4
Kill 50 Enemies with the M4

The M4 will be available in the train section of the game, in chapter 13 to be exact. You'll be using this weapon a lot, as it's the best rifle in the game. Has a decent accuracy and very good damage and fire rate. This weapon's trophy is one of those where you don't really need to worry about, as its a main gun, and you'll be using it quite a lot. Going out of your way and farming kills for this weapon is just a waste of time.

However if you still wanna farm the kills for it, refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
50 Kills: Micro-9mm
Kill 50 Enemies with the Micro-9mm

This weapon will become first available in chapter 5. It has a high fire rate, but lousy accuracy, so its only usable for close-quarter fights.

I have just used it until it ran out of ammo, and as soon as I need another Micro I'd pick it up and use it. I got the trophy in chapter 6 for this gun.
You can still refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide, for more details.

[top]
30 Kills: Moss-12
Kill 30 Enemies with the Moss-12

This is available to you at the beginning of chapter 3. Basically from the beginning of the game as the first two chapters had no gunfights in them.

The best place I've found to farm kills for the Moss-12 is chapter 6. When you and Chloe start to progress, after the huge gunfight in the beginning, pick up a Moss-12, and kill every guy that you see with. Luckily it only requires 30 kills and not 50, so when you get in the building and need to save Chloe from the stuck elevator part, a lot of enemies will come at you, and its always close-quarters, so you can get everyone with 1-shot. No need to farm for it, that area should be enough.

If you still didn't get the trophy, there are a lot of times later on in the game where you can simply pick up the gun and use it, or you can refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

[top]
30 Kills: RPG-7
Kill 30 Enemies with the RPG-7

Refer to Dyno-Might Master .

You can also refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide, for more details.

[top]
50 Kills: SAS-12
Kill 50 Enemies with the SAS-12

This gun will become available in chapter 22. It's the strongest close-range weapon in the game, which you'll want to use later on.

I found that the best place to use this gun is in chapter 22 itself, as on each bridge area, you'll get a lot of enemies coming at you. The first tower is where I personally farmed the kills for it, at the place where Drake needs to open the door for Elena, and simply 1-shot everyone from above. Only needed to retry checkpoint about 4 times before the trophy popped. There will be a total of about 10-12 enemies in that tower. Then another 15ish enemies on the bridge.

I found that later on in the game, in chapter 25 where you get to the big hall with the statue in the centre, there's a HUGE fight going between the guardians and normal guys, with an infinite spawn point there. SAS-12 was the best weapon in that area, so if you want you can farm it there.

You can refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide, for more details.

[top]
20 Kills: Pistole
Kill 20 Enemies with the Pistole

You'll first find this weapon in the beginning of chapter 10 as you move out of the temple with Chloe.

There are a couple of guys that spawn there, you can kill them and restart checkpoint, or let the heavy kill you. I'd advise though saving the 6 bullets you have for the next area, where there's a huge fight. Take out the two snipers first, then just drop down, and pick them off with the Pistole, you'll need to get close as its range is like a shotgun, if you're close, its a one-shot kill weapon. Kill 6 people, and die or restart checkpoint, you'll need to perform this about 4 times, and the trophy will unlock.

In case you still haven't got it, at the end of chapter 12, where you're in the railway wagon taking cover, you can farm whats left of the Pistole kills in there. Should be pretty easy.

[top]
50 Kills: M32-Hammer
Kill 50 Enemies with the M32-Hammer

The first spot you get this weapon is near the end of chapter 6, after the helicopter part.

You'll reach a point where you need to lower a wooden bridge to get to the other building with Chloe, after taking out the enemies on that building, just pick up the M32-Hammer, then 4 guys will spawn right under you, spam some shots, as they don't all die from just 1 shot, then kill yourself, and repeat. This might take a bit of time. You can also play the game normally, and you'll have many other chances to use the weapon, and kill large groups of enemies with it. However, if you want the trophy fast, the above spot is the earliest you can achieve it on.

Refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide for more details.

[top]
50 Kills: FAL
Kill 50 Enemies with the FAL

This gun will become available in chapter 5. Its a 3-bullet burst gun, with a red-sight when you aim in, so it can be really helpful picking off enemies that are far. It'll quickly dispatch of most of the enemies since its a 3-bullet burst type. You'll be using this gun quite a lot, so farming kills for it will only waste your time.

However, you can always refer to the Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide.

Explore Photo Mode

This trophy is earned with the press of a button... Literally.

You'll use the photo-mode in all of the Uncharted games quite a lot. Especially in Uncharted 2&3. The scenery is just so "beautiful", as well as Chloe's arse . I've played the game more than once so far, and I'm still taking shots in certain spots and places.

Hit the start menu, then go to options, and enable photo-mode. Simply press on the D-Pad to access it, there you have it, a trophy will pop. Can't get easier than this.

You can explore the photo-mode, play around with filters and stuff, then take a screenshot with the Share button then . Enjoy taking pictures, maybe you can share some with us. Visit the Uncharted threads and post it there.

Staying Dry
Beat 'Chapter 3 - Borneo' in less than 6 minutes 30 seconds

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 3 - Borneo - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 6 minutes and 30 seconds to earn this trophy.

Here are a few tips on how to go about it:
  • First things first, set the difficulty to Easy.
  • Start the chapter, and just move towards the objective, having completed the game once, you should know the way.
  • Ignore any gun fights or enemies that you can skip and still progress.
  • When you walk, instead of running with the , keep moving while continuously jumping with , this tends to make Drake move faster.
  • You don't really have to worry about cut-scenes, as the timer will stop during those, you can still skip them if you want.
  • The mini cut-scene are ones with animations that you can't skip, however you shouldn't worry too much about it, as the game is designed to still give you time to complete the objective.
  • When climbing ledges and shimmying, jump around them with instead of just moving about, to make it quicker.
  • In case you die, quickly hit start and quit to main menu.
  • Restarting or failing a checkpoint won't reset your time, so never die or fail a checkpoint.
  • Aim for headshots during gun fights and use Steel-Fist combo, I've found that these are the quickest way to take enemies out.
  • Ignore anything else like treasures or scenery, and just hurry on with the objective.
  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 3, you just need to know the places of the bombs that you need to plant, so you don't waste any time, as well as the going through the right route.

My personal time for finishing the level was 06:01:14 & I've fucked up on some platforming and fell, but didn't quit as I still had a lot of time. If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in well under 6 minutes.

Quick Jaunt Through a Warzone
Beat 'Chapter 5 - Urban Warfare' in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 5 - Urban Warfare - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 7 minutes and 30 seconds to earn this trophy.

Here are a few tips on how to go about it:

  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 5, you'll need to take out the first three enemies really fast, I've found that the fastest way is to kill the first guy with a headshot, then use the Steel-Fist combo on the other 2. Climbing up the pole fast. The area with the big gun fight, just shoot everyone you see, and move forward until you get the truck mini cut-scene, keep progressing till you get the Chloe cut-scene. This way you've skipped some enemies, as well as around a minute of play time. Now the next area, do the platforming as quick as you can, and drop down quickly and release Chloe first before taking out the guys. When that's done, shoot the propane tanks in the area to take out the enemies quicker, take out the last couple of enemies that spawn up on the roof, and bob's your uncle.

My personal time for finishing the level was 06:44:66. The trophy is piss easy. If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in well under 7 minutes.

Bullet Train From Hell
Beat 'Chapter 13 - Locomotion' in less than 7 minutes

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 13 - Locomotion - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 7 minutes to earn this trophy.

Here are a few tips on how to go about it:

  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 13, its pretty straight forward, with no twists or anything, simply RUN towards the front. You can skip a ton of enemies, just don't bother with turret guy. When you're at the helicopter scene, my advice is to have the M4 with you, and shoot everyone that spawns as fast as possible. Be careful not to fall, you can kind of take your time at the end.

My personal time for finishing the level was 05:25:55, this being said, with another attempt I can get it done under 5 minutes as in the last section I fell and didn't hit the quit game option, because there was still plenty of time left. So be careful of falling. If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in well under 5 minutes.

[top]Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide

Having beaten the game, once at least, this easy farming kills method can be used to rack up the required amount of kills for any kill-related trophy in the fastest time possible.

Its quite simple, start up a chapter with a lot of enemies in it from the start, so you don't need to progress to reach the required area, saving time in the process. Below are a number of the many chapters that can be used to farm kills on:
  • Chapter 6 is recommended, as you don't have to progress at all, the fight is at the start of the chapter.
  • Chapter 12, in the beginning there are 5 guys together, this is an easy farming spot for explosive weapons. Restart checkpoint right away, skip cut-scene, and do it again. Farming 50 kills with this method takes less than 5 minutes.
  • Chapter 11 for Survivor , as it has an infinite spawning point, but only for that trophy, as you just have a pistol.
  • Chapter 19 is pretty damn full with enemies, and the turret area has an infinite spawn point if you don't progress.
  • Chapter 25, in the big hall right before the fight at the end, where Lazarevic's men are fighting the Guardians, if you stay top and don't progress, its the best infinite spawn spot in the game, spawns 3 enemies as a wave at once.
There many more spots, but these by far are the best, and most convenient.

The next step to follow is this,
  • Set difficulty to Easy.
  • Go to the bonuses menu and activate One-Shot kill tweak.
  • Activate Infinite Ammo tweak.
  • Activate Fast Motion tweak to speed up the process.
  • From the bonuses menu, go to weapons, and select the required weapon you need the kills with, and choose Give Weapon.
  • Kill kill kill kill...
This way you'll farm any required kills as fast as possible, as well as any miscellaneous trophies for other things too, like the hand-to-hand combat and so on.

[top]Treasures Guide

Chapter 1 - A Rock and a Hard Place -

  • Wrathful Deity Statue: This is the first treasure. After climbing up to the mountain, the cut-scene which introduces Chloe & Flynn will trigger, right after the cut-scene when you gain control of Drake, simply move to the right, and its there behind the tree.
  • Saraswati Statue: When you pick up your first gun in the game, just after going from the gap between the two railway wagons, don't open the door yet, instead just walk to the front a bit and there should be your treasure.
  • Tibetan Snuff Bottle: When you shoot the lock on the wooden gate in order to open it, you'll see a dead guy hanging above you, the treasure is on his body, shoot it down with the pistol and pick it up.
  • Bhutanese Lime Box: You'll reach a point where you need to jump over to the next railway wagon in order to progress, instead of going inside it, turn around to the back, drop down the metal huge box, and it should be behind it in the ice.
  • Ghau Amulet Thogchag: Right after the cut-scene with Chloe, you'll jump and climb up to a new railway wagon, instead of going forward, turn back, and jump on the ledge behind you, there should be your fifth treasure.

Chapter 2 - Breaking and Entering -

  • Byzantine Gold Coin: After you get out of the sewers, just turn back, and you'll find it sitting on a box there in the corner of the room.
  • Glass Evil Eye: Right after the 6th treasure, you give Flynn a boost and a ladder will drop, climb up the first ledge (yellow), then turn around to see another ladder behind you, jump on it, and the treasure should be on the top of the platform there.
  • Ottoman Ring: When you're about to leave the boiler room, the game will prompt you to take cover to see the guards, after a small dialog with Flynn, in the room where you need to go and disable the alarm, instead of going through the door, look to the right of it, it should be glowing there in the dark on top of a black statue.
  • Silver Amulet Box: After climbing the door in the first courtyard area, when you and Flynn take the two guards out, proceed to taking the first patrolling guard out to the left, then drop down, it should be right next to you when you take cover on a bay of flowers.
  • Silver Belt Buckle: In the second courtyard area, where there are a lot of guards you need to take out, its sitting in the fountain in the middle. This should be your 10th treasure.
  • Ivory Chess Knight: After you climb up the wall in the room where you tranquilised the guards, a guard will open the door and see Flynn, save him then shimmy your way across the room, but instead of going up to the open window, go right, and you'll see it sitting on a brick, get to it by climbing the last next to the closed window wooden ledge.
  • Ottoman Bracelet: The next rope that Flynn throws to you in the chapter when you're outside, instead of climbing up, drop down, and swing all the way to the backside of the building by going to the right, where the sea is under you, now shimmy your way to the last sewerage pipe popping out of the wall, and drop down, there should be the treasure.
  • Antique Pocket Watch: After climbing up and leaping to the next platform, where you'll need to take out a guard with your tranquiliser gun, drop down and you'll get the hint prompt where can press to see the tower. Instead of going forward, go to the right, then to the left, at the end of the platform, you'll see to your left a mattress hanging down, behind it is the treasure on the wall, shoot it down and collect it.
  • Antique Pipe: Once you get to the tower, after the cut-scene where Flynn abandons you, and you got all the laser sights on you, before you run out of that room, turn around a little to the left is the treasure, it should be sitting between the walls of the museum. A lion head will mark where it should be.
  • Jeweled Bracelet: After you drop down to the sewers again, progress forward, then you'll get to a room where you need to go to the left, it has a bunch of enemies in it, just before going out through the opening on the right, look to your left behind the cover piece, there should be the last treasure in the chapter.

Chapter 3 - Borneo -

  • Yuan Dynasty Coin: After you plant the first charge, move forward, the right away to the left you should see an opening with a tree root going up, its like a closed room, the treasure is in front of you. Shoot it down and collect it.
  • Yuan Dynasty Jade Animal: Right after picking up the first treasure, progress through you'll see two guys, take them out silently, then this time, you'll see the exact same hidden area as the one before it, but this time its to you right next to where you take out the second guy. Go up the log and you'll find it sitting on a barrel.
  • Jade Pei Pendant: After the second big gunfight in the chapter, you'll be climbing up, Chloe will let you know that you're getting close to the first camp, instead of dropping down and moving forward, go to the right. Shimmy your way to the right where there's a hidden path, climb up to it, then continue moving forward, at the end of the path the treasure will be there sitting on some wood .
  • Amber Jade Chimera: After you take out everyone in the last melee fight in the chapter, Sully will throw you a rope to climb up, instead of going forward, jump to the platform to your right, then move a bit forward and you'll see bricks sticking out of the wall where you have to climb up to them, then go to the left (towards where you first started climbing, you'll see Sully below you), leap to the huge tree branch, and climb it, then go to the platform across it. Now where you're up, and you see the huge dig under you where you had the fight in, you'll see a platform opposite of where you're standing, jump across to it, and to the right next to some barrels is this pretty well hidden treasure.

Chapter 4 - The Dig -

  • Mongol Paiza Passport: This one is located at the beginning of the chapter, in the area where you had the huge fight where the tent is in, in the middle of this area, you'll see a huge mast, if you look to the top of it, there should be the treasure, shoot it down and collect it. This should be your 20th treasure. This will earn you Novice Fortune Hunter .
  • Jade Belt Slide: When you drop down to the ruins towards the end of the chapter, soon as you drop down, a bit to the front you'll see a statue sitting with the treasure on it glowing in the dark, shoot it down and collect it.
  • Yuan Dynasty Helmet: Your last treasure should be after you find the dagger and the map, right after the cut-scene ends, don't move, instead turn backwards and look up, you'll see it on the sealing, shoot it down and collect it.

Chapter 5 - Urban Warfare -

  • Strange Relic: After taking out the first wave of enemies, you'll climb up around some buildings and ledges, when you drop down to the street level after the helicopter scene, next to a blue car, there will be 2 enemies there, take them out, then go to the right and you'll find a manhole. Enter the manhole and drop down to the sewers, it'll be there on a pile of dirt. Finding this treasure will earn you Relic Finder .

Chapter 6 - Desperate Times -

  • Brass Bird Lamp: In the beginning of the chapter, after the huge fight, go back to where you started, right next to the temple, you'll see an electricity pole you can climb up to next to the truck where you needed to take out the RPG-7 guy, climb it and at the top is the treasure.
  • Silver Dress Clasp: In the same area as the previous treasure, look up at the sign of the temple, you'll see the glowing treasure in the middle of the temple's sign, shoot it down and collect it.
  • Copper Rice Measure: When you're with Chloe on the fire escape ladder, you'll have to jump to the electricity pole, and leap to a platform, instead of going inside the building via the broken window, continue forward on the platform and go around it, at the end of it should be the treasure at the corner.
  • Yuan Dynasty Urn: Once you're in the building, you'll reach a point where you need to take out few enemies and go upstairs, in the middle there's a square panel, for the elevator, simply go all the way up, and jump inside the elevator booth, drop down and the treasure should be sitting on the platform.
  • Enameled Snuff Bottle: When you need to rescue Chloe from the elevator and get the power back, you'll reach a point where you need to go to a balcony, and jump from the broken concrete piece to the flags and all the way around, instead of jumping, from the balcony go left, and keep on moving on the platform all the way to the back, the treasure will be at the end in a suitcase.
  • Incense Burner: After you encounter the helicopter for the first time, you and Chloe will be on the rooftops, there will be a wave of enemies that spawn across, you'll need to take them out. This is the first place you get to pick up and use the M32-Hammer, lower the bridge, and cross it to the other building, the treasure is at the top where the enemies first spawned from, jump to the building behind it, where there's a water tank, and there it is next to the water tank.

Chapter 7 - They're Coming With Us -

  • Worn Pendant: At the very beginning of the chapter, soon as you get to control Drake, to your right there's a broken room with an entrance, go in it and the treasure is there on a cartoon box next to the window. This should be your 30th treasure.
  • Nine Jewel Ring: Right after you take out the few enemies in the beginning of the chapter, progress forward a bit and you'll see a fountain in the middle with a statue. The treasure is inside a bell hanging from the statue, shoot it down and collect it.
  • Ankhora Water Vessel: When you get to the river where there are a couple of cars in the middle that you need to free, cross the river, and its on a pile of dirt next to the second car across the river.
  • Silver Shiva Amulet: Once you reach the temple, before getting in, there's a cart with dirt on it just a bit in front of you to the left. The treasure is on top of it.
