[top]Tips & Strategies

Following the tips below will make your life easier earning the platinum, and in general throughout the game.

IMPORTANT!
  • Crushing difficulty is unlocked from the beginning, unlike the original Uncharted games on the PS3. Start on crushing difficulty as it will unlock all difficulty-related trophies & saves time.
  • Always go for headshots, this will conserve ammo, take out the enemies quicker, and saves your ass through some difficult parts.
  • Cover is your best friend, press behind any obstacle to take cover during gun fights.
  • When taking cover, make sure to pick a spot where you can jump to a cover next to it, or move about. Crushing difficulty enemies tend to throw a lot of grenades at you with pin-point accuracy, this will help you to avoid dying because of a thrown grenade.
  • Always scavenge areas for ammo after the fight is done, making sure you're ready for the next battle.
  • Try finishing areas with stealth attacks, as a character dialog will prompt it. Be as subtle as you possibly can. This will help you get done faster, and save the trouble of having to fight more enemies.
  • Progress through after taking out the first or second wave of enemies. Some spots in the game have an infinite spawn, so enemies will keep coming until you progress.
  • Pay attention to the surroundings and the music in-game. Only go out of cover if you're sure the enemies in that area are all dead. Usually the music changes or a dialog will trigger after you're done fending off the waves of enemies.
  • If you see a spot or a cover point with many enemies behind it, don't be afraid to use your grenades.
  • When the heavy shows up, knock their helmets off with a headshot, and easily kill them. Throwing a grenade at them will slow them from getting close to you.
  • Stand at the back, rather than staying in the middle. Waves of enemies will tend to spawn from everywhere, only progress when its safe.
  • If you get a new gun, and a trophy is required for it, get the kills with it, via restarting checkpoint. This way farming the kills will be easier.
  • Save your strongest weapons and one-shot kill pistols for stronger enemies and heavies, or enemies that need to be taken out fast.
  • Always take out the grenade launcher guys first, then the snipers. Do this as quickly as possible, as they can kill you easily while you're busy shooting at normal enemies.
  • When your health is low and the screen is black & white with a heart-beat sound in the background, never go out of cover. You die really fast; heal up first, then continue on fighting.

Note

There will be few spoilers in certain trophy descriptions, and in the Treasure Guide. I highly recommend playing the game at least once before using this guide if you've never played Uncharted before.

[top]Roadmap

Start the game on crushing difficulty. During this step, make sure to collect all the treasures along the way. Refer to the Treasure Guide below, with a video walkthrough made by PowerPyx. Following these, you should have most of the trophies by the end of the game, including all of the difficulty-related trophies. As well as most of the kill related trophies too.

Trophies to be earned during this step:
Charted! - Easy
Charted! - Normal
Charted! - Hard
Charted! - Crushing
First Treasure
Apprentice Fortune Hunter
Skilled Fortune Hunter
Adept Fortune Hunter
Expert Fortune Hunter

Master Fortune Hunter
Relic Finder
Master Thief Collection

This step will take around 7-8 hours depending on skill. You should just really focus on finishing the game and getting the treasures, nothing else.

Go for the speed run-related trophies. You can only attempt this on Speed Run mode. You can't get it by simply plaything through the chapter on campaign mode. You can't use tweaks either. Simply finish the 3 required chapters, and you'll be getting the trophies. This was put as the second step as having played the game once at least previously will give you a good knowledge of the levels and objectives and where you need to go, so when playing the speed run mode, you'll be quicker about it.

This step shall earn you:
Outrun the Flames
Catch that Plane!
My Horse is Faster

This step should take you around 30-40 minutes only.

Cleanup. This step isn't actually required if you've gotten everything in the first step, but certain trophies might give you trouble, and you can attempt it after finishing the game on easy mode, like Survivor , which is much easier here. Also the weapon kills, if you're missing a trophy for a certain weapon, you can earn it during this step.

This step shall earn you all of the weapon kills-related trophies, as well as the misc (miscellaneous) trophies that you've missed out on.

This step should take you around an hour.

Platinum
Congratulations, you've completed a masterpiece.

Charted! - Crushing
Finish the Game on Crushing Without Changing the Difficulty

Simply you'll need to beat the game on the second hardest difficulty setting, which is crushing.

Crushing difficulty isn't too bad, or something undoable. It's actually quite easy with the exception of a few fights here and there. You might also die a few times. The key for crushing is patience.

Here is how you should go about this:
  • Cover should be taken and "hugged" the whole time you're in a gun fight. Press behind any obstacle to take cover during gun fights. Never get out of cover while going on this difficulty unless you're sure not anymore enemies are left.
  • Pay attention to the surroundings, always have an escape route ready in case things get too messy.
  • Pay attention to the dialog, if Drake or the character with him imply you can use stealth, do so. If some enemies get alerted, that area will be full of them, which will only make your life more miserable than it already is.
  • Progress through after taking out the first or second wave of enemies. Some spots in the game have infinite spawn points, so enemies will keep coming until you progress. That being said, make sure its with caution, and make sure you're progressing through the right period of time (aka after killing the last guys before the new one spawns).
  • A new feature in Uncharted 3, is the ability to throw back grenade. Get the timing right then press , Drake will throw it back in the direction the camera is facing. Use the feat to your advantage. Take out the shield guys this way and the heavies.
  • Stealth-killing enemies will make them drop new type of weapons with extra ammo, these weapons are usually strong and will help you during some difficult part of the game. Make sure to always pick those up.
  • I can't stress enough how important patience is. If you rush, you will end up dead. It only take 3-5 shots to kill you on crushing. You die pretty damn quick, so be PATIENT!
Note: You should refer to Tips & Strategies above as it has more tips for how to go about crushing. The ones that are mentioned here are just a bonus for crushing.

If you're having a bad time with crushing (shouldn't really happen), you can stop focusing on doing other trophies, and just focus on completing the objective. There's always time after you've beaten the hard part.

I personally like to keep ONE guy alive before progressing. Taking all of them out might up the progression, and the new wave will spawn and kill you quickly, so I usually keep one alive, stack up for ammo, stay in the best possible cover, then take him out.

If you die in a spot more than once, learn from your mistake. Start memorising the spawn points of enemies, and how they move about. Stay focused, and don't give up. If one strategy isn't working, simply try another one. There are countless ways of how to get a fight done.

Ultimately, if you're still having some issues with some parts, you can PM me (DarkFox) and I'll help you out through it, or post on the guide if you're facing so other issues. It won't happen though if you follow everything that's mentioned above. I've written a walkthrough below for the most difficult parts in the whole game. Those areas might be the only ones to give you some trouble on crushing.

Chapter 12 - during the water fight area, simply sneak up under water by holding and stay on the right side. You'll find an opening where you can climb from to the turret. Take out the turret guy, then use the turret to kill everyone else. Keep an eye to your right as enemies might jump from the ship next to you. Keep a shotgun or Pistole with you so you can take them out quick if they do. Using this method, you can finish that annoying part without dying even.
Chapter 16 - Finish this chapter with stealth... You'll be amazed how easy and fast it is. Keep the silenced M9 you have and don't switch it with something useless. The last stealth section of the chapter, make sure to never alert anyone, otherwise you'll be stuck with A LOT of enemies that WILL kill you. Take out the first guy with a headshot with your silenced gun, then go to the left, stealth killing everyone. When you reach till the end of map, backtrack the same way you came, and now take out the enemies on the right. The last part you have two guys standing next to each other, hide behind the cars in front of them and bait them. One will come at you, take him out. Simply headshot the last guy with your silenced weapon then proceed. This is by far the easiest and quickest way to deal with that very annoying and difficult section. Note: In case you alerted anyone, simply restart checkpoint and try again.
Chapter 20 - Caravan, the first section where you're on the horse shouldn't give you too much trouble. However after you and Sully are left alone finding the convoy in the sand storm, take out the guy behind the truck in the beginning with stealth. He will drop a T-Bolt Sniper which you'll need to take out the super brute with the PAK-80 that will be coming at you, kill him and pick up the PAK-80 which will pretty much make everything very easy. Once you reach the part where you need to take out the turret cars, kill everyone in that area with the PAK-80 then grab the grenade launched on top of the small structure to your left. Take out the cars then progress slowly, the sand should give you good cover. Make sure to shoot at where the sniper lasers are coming from, you don't see them, but they will kill you if you don't take them out.
Good luck!!

Refer to 100 Headshots .

[top]
100 Headshots
Kill 100 Enemies with Headshots

This trophy is quite simple, you'll earn this just by playing the game naturally. I got this mid game in chapter 10.

Getting headshots is really important if you're playing on Crushing difficulty or Brutal. This way you'll take out the enemies much quicker, and stop them from advancing to your position trying to take you out. It will also conserve the ammo you got. I usually always aim for headshots on sniper rifle guys, and grenade launcher guys, as if you don't take out those quickly, they will always kill you. The next type of enemy you'd want to aim for headshots at are the heavies. The heavies usually hold a shotgun, or a rifle, and they will progress to your location and take you out. Those guys take a ton of bullets, especially if you're playing at a high difficulty, so you'd want to keep shooting their heads, until the helmet gets knocked off. When you see the white cover on their head, you can simply just headshot them, and they will end up dying with 1 bullet.
If you're in an area full of enemies, pick them off one by one, each with a headshot, so you don't get rained on with bullets as staying out of cover for a long time will result in you dying.

Its easier to get headshots with your pistols instead of the assault rifles and other weapons. The best gun I personally found that I got comfortable with is the Para, and the M4. The accuracy on those two guns is really high, so preferably use them to make it easier for you.

[top]
Headshot Expert
Kill 5 Enemies in a Row with Headshots

Fairly simple, start picking off enemies with headshots one after another interrupting the streak.

This can be attempted at any point in the game, as enemies will come at you in waves. The trick here is to wait until the soldier is standing still, simply pop your head out of cover, quickly aim for his head, and shoot. You'll need to do this 5 times in a row, without killing someone in the middle by other means, and without dying or restarting a checkpoint.

Usually when in cover, enemies tend to leave their heads wide open and out of cover, so you can get them when they go into cover, its pretty easy. A good place this can be attempted at, is chapter 5, where you're in the underground. Its fairly easy to get headshots on those agents in a row. Chapter 12 in the sea fight area is another spot, simply get some leverage, and pick off the enemies carefully with headshots. There are countless spots, but I've mentioned the ones that are the easiest to get the trophy on.

If you're finding some difficulties performing this, switch the difficulty to easy, take your time, and do it. On easy difficulty you can take a lot of bullets, so you don't really have to worry about that. Load any chapter of the ones mentioned above, set difficulty to easy, take your time, and get 5 headshots in a row.

Bare-knuckle Brawler
Defeat 20 Enemies with Hand-to-Hand Combat

Refer to Bare-Knuckle Slugger .

[top]
Bare-knuckle Slugger
Defeat 50 Enemies with Hand-to-Hand Combat

You'll get this by naturally progressing through the game. Hand-to-hand combat is when you get close to an enemy and tap multiple times, make sure to dodge with in case you see an enemy attack coming. The game will prompt it and slow down, but if you're playing on crushing, no prompts will be shown, so just get the timing right. Stealth kills are considered hand-to-hand combat as well, so coming from behind an enemy and taping once will do the trick as well.

I don't advice farming for this, as you'll get it by simply playing. You can load up any of the chapters with a lot of enemies, set the difficulty to easy and go for melee kills.

[top]
Dyno-Might Master
Kill 5 Enemies with 1 Explosion

The spot to do this is in chapter 16.

Make sure to stealth kill the first guy when you drop down with a stealth kill so he drops a grenade. After taking out the other enemy, and shooting the locks on the gate for Elena, a car will come and stop by the garage. Run to the front of the garage area so the back of the car is in front of you, and toss a grenade when the door opens. 5 guys will come out of it, the explosion will take all of them out earning you the trophy.

Here's a video showing you how its done.

Hangman
Kill 20 Enemies with Gunfire While Hanging

For this trophy, you'll basically need to hang from a ledge (press ) and aim with / and shoot with /.

Get 20 kills doing so. The kills are accumulative, and is tracked through out the game, thus 20 kills will come with ease. There are a lot of spots this can be attempted it. Any chapter with a lot of enemies. Chapter 19 is recommended, in the first area after getting a gun you can climb up to the structure in the middle, hang from it and kill them.

If you finished the game without having this, you can simply set the difficulty to easy and activate one-shot kill tweak from the bonuses menu and get the kills until the trophy pops.

[top]
Grenade Hangman
Kill 10 Enemies with Grenades While Hanging

Refer to Hangman .

Instead of kills with weapons, toss grenades and get the kills with it.

The spot to do this is in chapter 16. Close to the beginning of the chapter, you'll reach a section where Drake will climb up the huge storage room and let Elena in. Make sure to stealth kill the first guy as he drops a grenade, then release Elena and hang onto the box on your right. A car full of enemies will reach and a lot of soldiers will come out from it. Toss the grenade at them while hanging, you'll always manage to get 3-4 kills. Restart checkpoint and do the same until the trophy pops.

You can refer to Dyno-Might Master for more information.

[top]
Run-and-Gunner
Kill 20 Enemies by Shooting from the Hip (without aiming)

Pretty simple, just shoot without aiming / and get 20 kills via this method.

In case you finished the game without having this (highly doubt it), you can simply set the difficulty to easy and start chapter 5, equip one-shot kill and infinite ammo and get it there.

[top]
Combat Leapfrog
Kill 10 Enemies in a Row, Alternating Hand-to-Hand Combat and Gunfire

This one can be a bit tricky. You'll need to kill 10 enemies in a row without dying or failing the checkpoint by alternating between gun kills and melee kills.

Its basically like this (Melee > Shoot > Melee > Shoot... and so on) and kill 10 enemies with this process. It doesn't matter which you start with, but make sure to alternate between the two of them. I loaded chapter 5 as it had a lot of enemies close to start, and did this. Another spot can be chapter 12 in the huge sea fight level or chapter 19.

You CAN equip one-shot kill and still get this. I equipped one-shot kill, infinite ammo, and fast motion tweaks in order to speed up the process and the trophy still popped.

Here's a video in case you're lost. This is attempted in chapter 6.

Master Ninja
Kill 50 Enemies by Melee-Attacking from Behind

Stealth kills is when you take out an enemy whose unaware of you being there with a melee attack from behind or from a cover piece by tapping once. Drake will then perform the animation for a stealth kill, and usually they drop rare weapons or more ammo with the stealth mark next to it. A headshot with a silenced gun can also count as a stealth kill, given that you alerted no one and the enemy didn't see you prior to it.

Simple enough, kill 50 enemies via this method and the trophy is yours. You'll probably have the pretty soon if you're playing on crushing, as stealth killing enemies is quite crucial. In case you've finished your playthrough and still don't have this, you can load chapter 16 or chapter 8. There are a lot of areas in each of these chapters full of enemies that can be taken out with stealth.

Equip fast motion tweak to speed up the process and simply just take out the enemies. Should pop pretty quick given your earlier stealth kill count as the game encourages you to use it a lot of times.

[top]
Survivor
Kill 75 Enemies in a Row Without Dying

You'll need to successfully defeat 75 enemies in a row without dying or failing a checkpoint. Mostly what can ruin your streak is the environment and platforming. so be careful.

It is recommended to go for this trophy on easy difficulty equipping one shot kill and infinite ammo. Fast motion is a bonus to speed up the process which I always like to have on.

I personally did this by reloading chapter 13 (pretty short but has a good chunk of enemies to add for the count) and playing through it and through chapter 14. By the end of chapter 14 the trophy popped. There's little to no platforming, and falling in water won't kill you. That's the main reason I attempted it there.

Other spots can be chapter 5-6 but there is a lot of platforming involved so you'll need to be careful. Remove the fast motion tweak while platforming as if you're bad at it, it can really mess the process up for you.

Another method is to load up chapter 19, reach to the area with a lot of enemies and kill them all but one, check your count on statistics then save the game and quit, now load up the save. It will restart the checkpoint for you without counting it as failing a checkpoint, rinse and repeat. Keep checking the stats to make sure you're not messing anything up or doing anything wrong.

If you're trying to get this during your normal playthrough, here how to go about it.

Make sure to:
  • Not to miss a jump or fail platforming.
  • Always stay behind cover in gun fights.
  • Be patient, and don't rush through the fight trying to end it quickly.
  • Wait to heal in case you're hurt.
  • Scavenge the areas after battles to stack up on ammo.

Note: The kills that count towards this trophy or any trophy that has "in a row" in it's description isn't accumulative throughout the game. It must be performed in a streak, meaning you can restart the checkpoint to farm the kills.

BONUS!! When going for this trophy, make sure to reload manually by pressing / after every kill, so the gun doesn't auto-reload. This will earn you Reload Master . You may also want to use your pistol instead of a rifle or a shotgun as its easier to reload, and will also earn you Side Arm Master .

[top]
Side Arm Master
Defeat 30 Enemies in a Row with Your Side Arm

This can be earned as early as chapter 5. Just use your main pistol and don't switch to shotguns or rifles. Get 30 kills in a row without dying or failing the checkpoint and the trophy is yours.

In case you didn't get it on your playthrough, load up any of the chapters with a lot of enemies, equip one shot kill & infinite ammo tweaks and get 30 kills in a row.

Refer to Survivor for further details.

[top]
Reload Master
Defeat 50 Enemies in a Row Without Auto-Reloading

Simply reload after every kill you make. If a gun has only few bullets left in its magazine, don't use it and change it with something else.

You'll need to do this in a row. To save time, do this when going for Survivor.

For further information check Survivor .

[top]
Blindfire Marksman
Defeat 20 Enemies by Blind-Firing While in Cover (without aiming)

For this one, do the same of what you did with Run-and-Gunner but this time around while you're behind a cover piece.

You'll get this really early as most of the times you'll have enemies advancing to your position when you're behind cover and you can't pop your head out of cover as you'll get killed easily, so you'll resort to this method. If you're playing on crushing, this will come early on.

[top]
Throwback
Defeat 10 Enemies with Thrown-Back Grenades

The ability to throw back grenades is the new feature in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. This has proved to be really helpful as the enemies tend to throw a lot of grenades at you.

When a grenade is close to you, you can throw it back by tapping but you'll need to get the timing right, otherwise it just won't work. The grenade will be thrown back in the direction the camera is facing. You can turn and throw it left or right if you're quick enough. Simply get 10 kills with thrown back grenades.

If you finished the game without having this, load up chapter 9 and towards the end shield guys will be coming you way. The guys that are behind them will keep on throwing grenades at you that you can throw back at the shield guys and so on.

Chapter 19 is a great spot for it too.

[top]
Throwback Master
Throw Back a Grenade and Defeat 2 Enemies at Once

Refer to Throwback .

However, this time try to face the camera at two enemies next to each other. A great spot to get this trophy on is the bridges in the last chapter of the game as there will be a lot of enemies in a small place. Just be patient with it and get the timing right. I got this without even realising just by playing on crushing, so you should have this without even having to try for it as long as you remember to toss back the grenades.

[top]
He's Gonna Need a Sturgeon
Hit 3 Enemies with Fish in the Market

Towards the end of chapter 10, Drake will get in a fist fight in the old market in Yemen with a bunch of enemies.

Simply go stand in the middle next to the fish, and by tapping Drake will automatically take a fish and slap the enemy with it knocking him out. There will be a ton of guys to fight, and for the trophy you only need 3. Simple enough, just stand next to table in the middle with fish on it.

[top]
Riot Rocker
Kill 5 Riot Shield Enemies by Running Over Their Shield

In the game, there are some enemies that hold riot shields. For the trophy you'll need to walk up to a riot shield guy and melee attack him with . Drake will run over his shield and snap his neck from the back.

You'll need to get the timing right as if you press too early or too late the enemy will just push you back. The place to get this is at the end of chapter 9 when you're fighting with Chloe. Take out the guys at the back so they don't annoy you with shooting, then melee the riot shield guy. Restart checkpoint if you need to after taking out the first or second guy.

If you're having some difficulty performing this on crushing, you can set the difficulty to easy. Simply kill 5 guys via this method and the trophy is yours.

[top]
Land Shark
Defeat 20 Enemies While Swimming

You can shoot while swimming in water. This can be easily done in chapter 12 & 13.

When you're in the big area with the turrets up, jump to water and start shooting the guys. There is more than a spot to do this in. If you finished the game without having this, you can set the difficulty to easy and equip one-shot kill with infinite ammo. Simply get 20 kills while you're in water.

[top]
Brute Beater
Successfully Counter all of a Brute's Damage-Giving Attacks

Brutes are the huge guys that come at you. Most of the time they aren't holding any weapons. If they are holding weapons its usually the PAK-80. You'll encounter quite a bunch of them throughout the game.

The first one you encounter is in chapter 1 in the toilet. These guys take way more damage than normal enemies do. Defeat one without getting damaged at all by him. This should come with ease. Make sure to press when the game slows down a bit to counter an incoming attack. In case he grabs a hold of you repeatedly tap . On crushing no prompts will be shown at the screen, so if you get any damage just restart checkpoint.

If you finished your playthrough without earning this, load up chapter 12 while having the difficulty set to easy. In the very beginning after you take out the few enemies, a brute will drop down, follow the in game prompts on the screen to dodge and counter all of the attacks and trophy is yours.

[top]
Marco Solo
Play in the Swimming Pool on the Cruise Ship

In chapter 14, after taking out the brute with the PAK-80 and the enemies that follow in that area, you'll go through a red door on the ship. Drake will open it by repeatedly tapping as the game prompts it. This is how you know you're at the place, you'll see a pool in that room, simply jump inside it and the trophy is yours.

30 Kills: Dragon Sniper
Kill 30 Enemies with the Dragon Sniper

First available in chapter 8.

You'll reach a point where you need to take out 5 RPG-7 guys and the dragon sniper is in front of you. Grab it and kill 4 of them then restart checkpoint until the trophy pops.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

[top]
30 Kills: M9
Kill 30 Enemies with the M9

This is your default gun. You'll have this at the beginning of the first gun fight in chapter 5. You shouldn't waste time farming kills for this weapon.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

[top]
30 Kills: RPG-7
Kill 30 Enemies with the RPG-7

This launcher will be first available in chapter 12. This is when you go underwater and go to the right you'll find it there on a metal scrap piece originally put for you to take out the turret with.

Farming the kills for this weapon has to be done in that chapter. You can't equip this from the menu after having completed the game sadly. Simply put infinite ammo and load that chapter setting the difficulty to easy, then kill as many people as you can and restart checkpoint. There will be a ton of enemies for you to kill so this won't take much time.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

[top]
30 Kills: SAS-12
Kill 30 Enemies with the SAS-12

This will become first available in chapter 11.

You'll reach a point where you need to steal a gun from an enemy in chapter 19, a normal guy will run towards you in a bit holding this gun, you can use that area to farm the kills for it. It's a very strong shotgun and will take the enemy out with one shot if they are close-mid ranged from you.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

[top]
30 Kills: Arm Micro
Kill 30 Enemies with the Arm Micro

This gun will be first available in chapter 6. The Arm Micro is surprisingly good in the game, and the range on it is good as well. You'll probably use this gun a lot through the game, so I don't recommend farming kills for it as it'll be a waste of it.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

[top]
30 Kills: G-MAL
Kill 30 Enemies with the G-MAL

This gun will be first available to you in chapter 8. Its one of these weapons you shouldn't waste your time with or bother farming kills for. You'll use it quite a lot throughout the whole game as it has a long range and good accuracy.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

30 Kills: KAL-7
Kill 30 Enemies with the KAL-7

This gun will be available in chapter 5. The KAL-7 (AKu) is a very good sub machine gun that you'll be using quite a lot through the game, you shouldn't really bother with the kills as they will come naturally.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

30 Kills: Mag 5
Kill 30 Enemies with the Mag 5

This gun will be available early on in the game in chapter 5.

The best spot for farming kills with this is at chapter 8 when you get to the section with Cutter. Take out the first wave of enemies using stealth and they will drop this gun and more ammo for it. Then solve the small puzzle after than start shooting everyone with it. Its a one-shot kill gun and its very strong and accurate so you shouldn't face a lot of trouble. After that just restart checkpoint. Sully will be shooting RPGs at them, try to take enemies out quick.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

30 Kills: PAK-80
Kill 30 Enemies with the PAK-80

This will be first available in chapter 14 after you kill the brute holding it.

This is the rarest gun in the whole game as you can't find it. You only take it from the brutes. Which only happens in chapter 14 and chapter 20. The best place to farm the kills for it can be either of these, but I find chapter 20 to be more appropriate, you'll reach to the truck in the middle just kill everyone that comes then die. If you do it in chapter 14 make sure to leave the last guy alive and restart the checkpoint. You can't take it with you through the red door sadly.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

30 Kills: T-Bolt Sniper
Kill 30 Enemies with the T-Bolt Sniper

This sniper rifle is first available in chapter 6.

You can farm the kills for it there in the section where you need to pass without alerting anyone, as there will be quite a few enemies in that section.
The other spot for farming kills with this gun is in chapter 19 where you kill a guy and he drops it. Simply kill 5 guys (it only has 5 bullets) and restart checkpoint or die.

Refer to Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide below for more information.

30 Kills: Tau Sniper
Kill 30 Enemies with the Tau Sniper

This strong pistol will be first available in chapter 12. You'll encounter it throughout the game though, and it will be very useful.

I suggest farming the kills with this later on after finishing the game as usually enemies drop it with few rounds. You can still farm in the big sea section in that area if you managed to find the gun first before killing a lot of the enemies. It's a one shot kill gun.

Photobomb
Explore Photo Mode

This trophy is earned with the press of a button... Literally.

You'll use the photo-mode in all of the Uncharted games quite a lot. Especially in Uncharted 2&3. The scenery is just so "beautiful". I've played the game more than once so far, and I'm still taking shots in certain spots and places.

Hit the start menu, then go to options, and enable photo-mode. Simply press on the D-Pad to access it, there you have it, a trophy will pop. Can't get easier than this.

You can explore the photo-mode, play around with filters and stuff, then take a screenshot with the Share button then . Enjoy taking pictures, maybe you can share some with us. Visit the Uncharted threads and post it there.

Outrun the Flames
Beat 'Chapter 7 - Stay in the Light' in less than 9 minutes 30 seconds

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 7 - Stay in the Light - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 9 minutes 30 seconds to earn this trophy.

Here are a few tips on how to go about it:
  • First things first, set the difficulty to Easy.
  • Start the chapter, and just move towards the objective, having completed the game once, you should know the way.
  • Ignore any gun fights or enemies that you can skip and still progress.
  • When you walk, instead of running with the , keep moving while continuously jumping with , this tends to make Drake move faster.
  • You don't really have to worry about cut-scenes, as the timer will stop during those, you can still skip them if you want.
  • The mini cut-scene are ones with animations that you can't skip, however you shouldn't worry too much about it, as the game is designed to still give you time to complete the objective.
  • When climbing ledges and shimmying, jump around them with instead of just moving about, to make it quicker.
  • In case you die, quickly hit start and quit to main menu.
  • Restarting or failing a checkpoint won't reset your time, so never die or fail a checkpoint.
  • Aim for headshots during gun fights and use Steel-Fist combo, I've found that these are the quickest way to take enemies out.
  • Ignore anything else like treasures or scenery, and just hurry on with the objective.
  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 7, the only tip I can give to you is to memorise the places enemies spawn from so you can take them out fast, and learn the right route of where you're supposed to go. There are no short-cuts or parts where you can skip enemy waves.

My personal time for finishing the level was 08:41:14, If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in well under 9 minutes.

Catch that Plane!
Beat 'Chapter 16 - One Shot at This' in less than 12 minutes

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 16 - One Shot at This - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 12 minutes to earn this trophy.

  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 16, use stealth in the whole chapter. Stealth might seem slow, but in fact its actually really fast. Follow the section walkthrough for the chapter mentioned in Charted! - Crushing . After that section, just simply by pass all enemies and run for the plane. Hug the left side when Drake is running away at the very end.

My personal time for finishing the level was 08:14:02. If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in well under 10 minutes.

My Horse is Faster
Beat 'Chapter 20 - Caravan' in less than 15 minutes

Speed Run Mode is the new mode introduced in the Remastered version for all Uncharted games.

Note: You can only earn this trophy by playing on Speed Run Mode instead of Campaign mode.

Having completed the game once, head to chapter select and choose chapter 20 - Caravan - and choose speed run, as soon as the chapter starts the timer will start counting at the top right corner of the screen. You simply need to beat the chapter in under 20 minutes to earn this trophy.

Here are a few tips on how to go about it:
  • First things first, set the difficulty to Easy.
  • Start the chapter, and just move towards the objective, having completed the game once, you should know the way.
  • Ignore any gun fights or enemies that you can skip and still progress.

  • Refrain from using exploits and wall-hacks, these won't earn you the trophy.
Sadly, you can't use any tweaks in this mode, nor play on Explorer difficulty. As for chapter 20, its pretty long, but you can EASILY finish it within 16-18 minutes. In the first horse chasing section, you should be done within 5 minutes only. Simply just don't jump onto the cars. Kill the guys from your horse. When you and sully get to the convoy, follow the tips given in Charted! - Crushing as I wrote a detailed walkthrough. After taking out the trucks and turrets however, just bypass all enemies and run towards the gate. Solve the puzzle as quick as you can and the chapter's finished.

My personal time for finishing the level was 15:32:09. If you followed the tips I've given above, you should manage this in around 16-17 minutes.

[top]Weapon-Kills Farming Method Guide

Having beaten the game, once at least, this easy farming kills method can be used to rack up the required amount of kills for any kill-related trophy in the fastest time possible.

Its quite simple, start up a chapter with a lot of enemies in it from the start, so you don't need to progress to reach the required area, saving time in the process. Below are a number of the many chapters that can be used to farm kills on:
  • Chapter 19 is recommended, as it has a lot of enemies in every section. The last two sections especially when you're behind the cover piece with the T-Bolt sniper, that spot is great for farming the kills for any required trophy.
  • Chapter 16, as you'll get to a point where the car stops and about 7-8 guys come out of it right after you open the door for Elena. This is an easy farming spot for Dyno-Might Master and Grenade Hangman . Simply keep the last guy alive and restart the checkpoint.
  • Chapter 13 & 14 for Survivor , there are quite a lot of enemies, and little platforming, so no need to worry about environment killing you or falling.
  • Chapter 20 last section is pretty damn full with enemies. Just be careful from the turret trucks and heavies.
  • Chapter 12 for the 30 Kills: RPG-7 . Other weapon-kills can be farmed there too as the whole area has a really large number of enemies.
There many more spots, but these by far are the best, and most convenient.

The next step to follow is this,
  • Set difficulty to Easy.
  • Go to the bonuses menu and activate One-Shot kill tweak.
  • Activate Infinite Ammo tweak.
  • Activate Fast Motion tweak to speed up the process.
  • From the bonuses menu, go to weapons, and select the required weapon you need the kills with, and choose Give Weapon.
  • Kill kill kill kill...
Note: Some weapons sadly aren't available in the menu for you to give to Drake, like the RPG-7. For these weapons, load up the chapter mentioned in the trophy description and farm the kills there.

This way you'll farm any required kills as fast as possible, as well as any miscellaneous trophies for other things too, like the hand-to-hand combat and so on.
