[top]Tips & Strategies

Warframe is designed as an online Co-Op game, so the best way to play it in most cases is to play it set to public, or set to friends if you have friends that play too.

- Whenever possible, equip gear that is not yet at rank 30 before you log out. Once day, there is a login reward and many times that reward is exp for one of your gear slots. Only gear that is equipped and not maxed out will benefit.

- Exp earned towards a rank 30 piece of gear is wasted, so try to plan ahead. Building weapons and other gear takes time, so unless you are spending real money to purchase gear from the market, you'll need to buy blueprints ahead of time, gather the necessary materials, and start production before you are finished ranking up your current gear so you'll have it ready to immediately switch out your equipment and get the most out of your exp.

- Play in groups as often as possible. Whenever a team member kills an enemy, you get exp from the kill, provided you are close enough to them divided between all your equipped gear.

- Complete event missions often. You are rewarded with credits, manufacturing materials, blueprints, mod cards, and boosters. All of these have their benefits, but affinity boosters double your exp gain, drastically cutting time off from ranking up your gear to get the proficiency trophies.

- You can skip most planetary missions if you group with someone that has already defeated the boss for that planet. Simply have your partner pick the boss mission for the planet and vote your agreement. In this way you don't have to beat any missions on a planet besides the boss before unlocking the next planet.

The trophies in this update can be completed in no time at all. Time to learn how to use the foundry.

Step 1: Purchase blueprints from the market.
Step 2: Build item from blueprint in your foundry.

You can follow the process below to blitz the trophies, or simply let them pop through normal play as you will build more then 20 items in the course of your game play.

Weapon Smith
Build an item in the Foundry.

Although the trophy's name is "Weapon Smith," you don't have to build a weapon, you can build anything you want and still get the trophy.

Assuming you've played at last a few missions already, you should already have a small stock of building materials. To check your materials, simply hit the options button on your controller, select "equipment" from the menu, then choose inventory. All building materials will be under the tab second from the right. Simply use the and buttons to maneuver through the tabs.

When you enter the navigation menu, scroll through the planets you have access to. On the right side of the screen, you will see a list of all of the materials you can find while doing missions on that planet. Different materials are available on each planet. If you haven't played much yet and don't have enough materials, then go run a couple missions and actively hunt for storage lockers and stuff that drop these items. It will only take a couple of missions to get what you need.

In addition to these materials, you'll need a blueprint. Some blueprints are earned through playing missions or from the log in bonus, but these are typically single use ones. Alternatively, you can purchase blueprints from the market. Market blueprints usually are infinite-use blueprints.

I recommend buying a team health restore or team energy restore blueprint from the market. They only cost 500 credits. From there, head to the foundry in the back room of your ship and begin construction of the item. I recommend these blueprints because they are cheap, have easily obtainable materials, and only take 1 minute to build.

Once you start construction of this blueprint, wait 60 seconds, then collect the item. The trophy will pop when you collect your first item from the foundry.

Build 20 items in the Foundry.

Repeat the process for "Weapon Smith" 20 times to pop this trophy. If you get both of the blueprints I recommended, you can build two items at a time. Two at a time at one minute each, plus a few seconds collecting and restarting these two blueprints each time will have you popping this trophy in less than 12 minutes.
