Its been a week, so I think its safe for me to vote without a conflict of interest. I'm voting for AC because he puts up his own money giving people Pro status.

Also, come on people, 20 posts so far is a sad shame. Lets see more community involvement!

Sounds selfish to me. Because you were nominated alot last month you don't feel that you should nominate/vote for someone else? Okay then...

Since I'm here, might as well throw a nomination in.

I'm going for Ac3dUd3- this month because of his contributions to the site. He donates to the site that not only gives other members their well deserved PRO membership, but also it helps keep the site stay alive with some cash in its belly. It's his time to get the sunshine as it's rising toawrds him.

Why wouldn't it be appropriate to nominate?

Funny that you don't mind telling everyone they should go and nominate someone but didn't actually nominate anyone yourself

Like I said, it'd be a conflict of interest. Last month a lot of people voted for me, and so I felt then that if I were to vote my vote would not have been viewed as 100% objective. This time no one voted for me, and I waited to see to make sure, and so now my vote can be viewed 100% objectively.

Also, I go and tell people to vote because for all intents and purposes these are very dead threads that hardly anyone posts in. I don't see anyone else trying to advertise this thread, which is a shame. I could very well be wrong if people are doing ads behind the scenes, but I've not heard of it. I don't know if the eye roll emoticon was a joke or not, but it is a very serious issue with the MOTM where we need some fresh blood voting in here.

You're over thinking it to the point of coming off extremely selfish. No one would care about whether or not you voted for someone whilst you yourself were in the running. If you think someone is deserving of the award, then vote for them. Instead what you've done is make it appear that you did not vote for anyone because you believed that you might win the award and that a vote towards someone else might take it away from you. So if you think someone is worthy of the award, just vote for 'em next time.

No one'll judge you.

Oh, and don't worry about advertising the thread. If anything, telling people, "

Most people on the site are aware of the award, but many people choose not to vote/nominate for their own reasons. So don't worry, the word is out there and people are aware!
