Team Elimination Trophy Competition

Gather your teams to get ready for the up-coming Team Elimination Trophy Competition

Basic details of the comp
- The competition will run for 12 consecutive weeks and consist of 6 rounds (2 weeks per round)
- Teams of 3 (1 team member to be a captain) will compete to earn the most trophies
- For the first 4 rounds, the team(s) that have collected the least trophies during each round will be eliminated from the comp
- The team that survives all 6 rounds AND earns the most trophies over the whole 12 week period will be declared the winning team
-Hacking trophies will not be tolerated and the WHOLE team will be eliminated.

Entry conditions
The competition will be open to all PS3T members that meet the following criteria:
- A valid PSN account linked to their PS3T profile
- Only the PSN account linked to your PS3T profile will be used in the comp
- PS3T profile minimum 50 posts (post count) or have made a donation to PS3T

Responsibility of Team Captains
To allow Team Captains to focus on trophy hunting, responsibilities will be kept to a minimum. That said, Team Captains will be required to:
- Put together a team
- Sign up for the competition on behalf of their team when the sign up page is created
- send and receive communications to/from the competition operator
- Ensure team members update their PS3T trophy cards in time for scoreboard updates (to avoid the risk of being eliminated)
- Organize boosting session with team members (and other gamers)

Notifications
Trophy hunters that have posted an expression of interest on this thread will be listed below, allowing prospective Team Captains to find members for a team. Captains that have formed a team will also be listed below. When the competition sign-up page is created (2 weeks before the competition commences), Team Captains will be sent a PM advising them that sign up to the comp is available and request that they post their team details on the sign-up thread if they still want to enter the comp.

Note that posting your team details on this thread is not a requirement of entry into the comp, but it will help ensure you don't miss out on entering the comp.

Trophy Points:
these will be based off of how psn counts them

Bronze - 15

Silver - 30

Gold - 90

plat - 180

your trophy totals carry over each round but the team with the lowest point total is eliminated. pretty much king of the hill type match but it gives those teams the incentive to keep earning trophies each round instead of slacking off.

I should probably point out a couple of things:
1/ For this comp to run, I'll need around 10 teams of 3 (or equivalent) to express interest.
2/ I'll only list you as looking for a team if you type your PSN ID and PS3T Profile name in your post (otherwise I'll assume you already have a team in mind)
3/ I will NOT be organizing people into teams, but will only list people looking for a team (refer 2/ above) in the OP to make it easy to find team members.
4/ If you have a team in mind, posting details of your team does not commit you to being in that team when (if) the comp starts. It just gives me an indication of how many teams I can expect and ensures that the nominated captain is sent a reminder when the sign-up thread is created.

Also, any feedback or suggestions (goals for prizes, time the comp should be held, scoreboard format etc) are welcomed.

3 months for a competition! Jesus fuck that's a long commitment! If it was a bit shorter then I'd probably have entered but I'm fairly certain that I won't be buying enough games to last a whole 3 months

This is something I'd like to address, for the sake of getting as many people on board with the comp as possible.

This is a FREE event. I don't think there should be any thought in not entering for anyone. No one has anything to lose. Even if a person thinks they will do terrible, put your name in the hat and form a team anyways. What is there to lose? You lose the comp? Well, you'd have done it anyways by not entering.

Call me crazy but BadWolf has only put a minimum of 30 on this thing to get it off the ground. For a site with 30K+ members, I'd want to see 100-200 or more people in this. Put your name in the free agents hat and you get chucked on a team, and you have no responsibilities. Lets see a grand tournament.

Well if I'm not going to be able to play and earn enough trophies I'd just feel like dead weight on any team I'm on. I don't want to hold any team back simply because I'm not able to play enough games
