I'm surprised at the love for TWD. I mean, I definitely enjoy the show from a pure entertainment point of view, which is more than I can ask for from most series, but it's a mess. It's a show where everything and nothing happens at the same time and there is no clear direction. Almost none of the characters behave like actual people and all of their personalities are wildly inconsistant, if not unlikeable. The zombie encounters are getting stale and the reliance on over the top gore is turning into a distracting gimmick. Then, the show keeps churning out plot twists, but can't come up with the writing to back up the narrative consequences. I cared more for Lee and Clementine in the video game than the entire cast of the tv series combined.

But hey, maybe that's just me.

I agree with you here 100%. The Walking Dead is good, but its far from great mainly due to the female characters and how often they do something to irritate me while watching the show. Its just another case of adding zombies to a popular media and everyone goes nuts over it. If you really want to see good acting and character development watch Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, or Game of Thrones. Its a tough call for me between GoT and BB but I'm going to vote for Game of Thrones.

Breaking bad without question, very few TV shows hold my attention because of utterly unbelievable characters and acting that can be seen as acting, breaking bad is as close to perfection in TV terms as the acting is near flawless and bar 2 events in the show everything else is believable. Very surprised the quality has been consistent from the start until the most recent episode
Only other show that comes close is Wilfred, apparently well made TV is hard to come by

For me it would come down between Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad. It's almost indecisive for me after the seasons this year. But, because I still think The Walking Dead really isn't that good and comes no where near being even a nominee for this, my vote will be Breaking Bad, because it seems like the one guaranteed to win so far, I just want to make sure it wins over TWD.

Breaking Bad gets my vote. It's just an exceptional show and can't wait for the final episode next year. I'm glad they're not dragging the show out.

The Walking Dead is good to, but not as great as Breaking Bad, even though the season finale for the first part of the show was pretty good.
