Most Underrated Game of 2012
This is the category for that game that you heard NOTHING or close to nothing about in terms of advertising. One of those games that flew under that radar that you just happened to notice when you were looking for a new game, or that a friend happened to recommend. That one gem that you would recommend to all your friends as a MUST TRY game. This is a bit tough. Many under the radar games for me (Sleeping Dogs, Walking Dead, SSX, Sherlock Holmes, Persona 4 etc).
But I'll say XCOM: Enemy Unknown takes it, in a market saturated with shooters, it's a nice change.

Total Awards: 9Mass Effect 3.
The fanboy outcry was nothing short of hysteria. It was completely undeserved and many of those pouring fuel on the fire had never bothered to play the game. Like the bleating sheep they are, the herd never gave it chance and missed out on one of the best games of the year.
Easily my GoTY and a fantastic ending to my favourite trilogy. Everyone should play Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3.

Total Awards: 6Binary Domain is a fine game that sold poorly despite solid shooting, voice commands and great voice work. Steals a few things from other games sure, but as a package it's a cult classic of it's very own making.

I have to go with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I was not really into RPG games before I played this. One of my favorite titles this year.

Dishonored. Its Bioshock in a Fallout world. I loved it.

I'm also voting for Binary Domain. It's a solid third person shooter, but Sega barely spent any money on advertisements. That's why most people don't even know that this game exists and simply overlooked it. On release day there were maybe 15 people playing online at a time. Was hard to find anyone in multiplayer. I liked shooting robots instead of human enemies and overall it's a solid third person shooter. That you are able to speak to the AI through a microphone and have them react to your commands is really awesome.

I'll say SSX. Not the coolest game I've ever played but its better than I think people think.

I haven't played a lot of the games that has come out this year. I will have to give The Testament Of Sherlock Holmes my vote.

WWE 13 - Everyone excepts the same from THQ, and while the game was not particularly stunning in any one area and will drive you nuts with some glitches (online play...), the Attitude Mode was def one of my favorites this year.

Haven't really played many of this year's games, but the one that stood out, that really didn't get the attention it deserved, was the Walking Dead.
