What do you want with the PS4 controller?

With a new console comes a new controller and so far almost every PS4 topic is about the console it self. But the controller is a compulsory part of the gaming system which you will use for just as long as the console (The exception to this being the Kinect).
Nintendo's entire strategy next gen is to sell the console by offering a controller with a built in screen.
Some people even stop using consoles because they don't like the way the controller is built or how it works.

So what features do you want the PS4 to have?
Do you want the shape/ Style to remain the same/ similar?
How much do you think a new one should cost? (Controllers this gen vary between £25-£35 brand new).

That said the PS4 isn't confirmed yet so for all we know of it may not be happening. (Ignoring the rumours and the chances of it actually happening)

This is more about the features and style of the controller as a whole instead of just a colour of pattern.

Not trying to start a double thread or anything but these 2 threads are supposed to be about 2 different ideas (Or though the other thread is starting to go a bit more to this topic, if it get's too bad I will take this thread down)

There is no release date because the PS4 hasn't been confirmed yet

The same as the Dualshock 3 but with:
Concave analog sticks so your thumbs don't slip off
concave L2 and R2 buttons for the same reason as above
And controller size options (small/medium/large) for different sized hands

    I want 3 things:

    Shielded L2/R2 triggers
    Concave Triggers
    Concave analog sticks

I don't want a major change from the DualShock 3. My hands fit perfectly to that shape since PS1

The playstation controller hasn't changed since the ps1 so I don't think they should change it now.

When I started reading this thread I was going to say "Leave it as it is, please don't change it for the sake of changing it" but then I read some other responses and the idea of concave thumb sticks and triggers is brilliant! So yeah, concave sticks and triggers gets my vote!

    Then it's like a strange XBox360 controller/Dualshock 3 Morph..... I like it.
Would be fine with it just being Dualshock 4 with very little changes like the changes from 2 to 3.

The Playstation controller is the best one I've come across, but concave sticks and triggers are the only things it needs to make it perfect

A controller that can hold more pressure than this one. When you push a button or the controller itself too hard the buttons they don't get mixed up.

I want it the exact same except with improved battery life and maybe some other non-design features. I hate concave analog sticks.
Thanks to DaRe_xLw for the sig and djunglist for the avy

Only thing that I might change would be a better d-pad. Other than that keep it the same.

I think it needs to have a "message button" wherein you can quick access the chat/message screen in your XMB.

I think that Sony has pretty much nailed all the aspects of what a functional yet comfortable controller is for me. I hope any changes they make are minor ones. I would like to see Sony release more licensed game designs from my favorite titles. A white controller with the Assassins Creed logo in the center would be great!

I don't think they should change it at all. The current controller is, in my opinion, perfect.

I don't know what else they could do with the PS4, except for upgraded processing power. I wonder if being able to personally upgrade the specs of the PS4 would be a good idea...... nahh.

I personally think that the controller is fine the way it is already.
