So now that we all know about the PS4 not playing our PS3 games, what are you going to do now? What i mean is, i feel like that any game that comes out between now and the PS4 release is kind of not worth it and a waste of money because the PS4 can't play it anyway when it comes out.
I know all you guys will say ''You just keep your PS3'', true but when the PS4 is out it is more likely that you will be on that instead of the PS3 anyway.
So i just wanted to know what all you guys are going to do because this is the way i feel at least anyway about the situation with the PS4 not playing PS3 games.

PS4 Not Playing PS3 Games... So What Now?

Keep my PS3 and continue going through my backlog while playing (my future) PS4. I wasn't planning on selling it anyway. Plus, it's not like if you played the PS3 games on the PS4 that the graphics and what-not were going to be any better. So this thing that people are complaining about is completely stupid.
Also, saying "i feel like that any game that comes out between now and the PS4 release is kind of not worth it and a waste of money because the PS4 can't play it anyway when it comes out." is the stupidest thing I've heard anyone say so far. The Last of Us, God of War or Bioshock aren't worth your money because you can't play it on a newer system? Please. Besides, when the PS4 is out and people have it, they aren't going to want to play PS3 games. They're going to want to play PS4 games.
Hell, even if they DID include backwards compatibility, everyone will start bitching about how the system is overpriced. So according to me, there's no way of Sony winning because, let's face it, the internet is full of whiners. So either that or Sony would have to AGAIN be losing money because they would be making a console that developers are going to have a hard time making games for. The PS4 new organs is a move that makes sense, even if we have to lose the option of playing PS3 games on it. It's smart from a business perspective.

I'm going to keep my PS3 just like I did keep my PS2 when I got the PS3 LOL
Even if I don't use it that much I'll be able to play whenever I feel like it

All that...I have GOW: Ascension pre ordered, and GTA V pre ordered and will be getting them both on PS3 (unless they push GTA back a little and make it for PS4 or something) and will be finishing up my PS3 back log regardless. I still have a lot of epic games Ive had since day 1 and have yet to play like Max Payne 3, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman Absolution and Dead Space 3. I just havent been in the mood for them, but I wouldnt just write them off because PS4 came out...

Yes mate. Do not live for the next year, enjoy your time right now. Enjoy the ps3 and even play it when the ps4 comes out... wait a year on the ps4, then purchase it when its price drops by 25% and boom, your a happy man financially and mentally.

I will have both systems hooked up. I already have an HDMI slot reserved for my PS4. I will continue to purchase and play PS3 games until, and even after, the PS4 comes out. It's not an issue whatsoever. I don't need my PS4 to play my PS3 games. I feel bad for people that need to sell their PS3s in order to purchase the new PS, but for me... not an issue.

Total Awards: 6I have to agree with everyone on this post so far. I plan on getting the PS4 on launch day but while waiting for their game library to grow, I will continue to play my PS3 until I have played all the games I currently have in my backlog.

I think The Last of Us first weeks sales are going to suffer because people will hold off on buying it,why buy it on ps3 when it is also going to be on the ps4,and for people who are going to wait to buy a ps4 and continue playing the ps3 have fun playing crappy ports of games that was designed for a ps4.

I'll probably sell one of my PS3s to cut down on the price of the PS4 but i'll still have one to play whatever comes along that i happen to be interested in.

After alot of thought and complex number crunching I've come to the following solution:
I'll play my PS3 games on my PS3 and I'll play my PS4 games on my PS4.
