The NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for two games without pay for confronting San Antonio announcer Sean Elliott in a hostile manner.
The exchange followed the Spurs' 97-86 victory in Sacramento on Friday night. The volatile Cousins will lose about $70,500 of his $3.9 million salary.

Cousins will sit out games at the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday and at home against Portland on Tuesday.

Elliott was a longtime Spurs player who is the team's primary TV analyst.

The Minnesota Timberwolves swingman, Chase Budinger, will be out indefinitely with a torn meniscus in his left knee. He will need surgery, and there is no estimate of how long he will be out. Typically an injury like this will require two months of recovery.

Pretty much but I figured since the Magic did have Howard but only have Big Baby that Kris would had that type of game.

Yes, but it is still an impressive feat considering it is Kris Humphries we are talking about.

I can't believe the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Miami Heat by 18 points.

According to Mike D'Antoni's agent, the Lakers and D'Antoni have agreed to a 4 year deal. This coming after negotiations with Phil Jackson broke down.

Mike D'Antoni just screams desperation. You're going to go from one of the top 3 most defensive minded coaches in the league, to arguably the least interested one, when your main problem through the first few games of the season has been defense? Not to mention you're instituting the third different play style in as many years for what is a veteran team.

This move seems like one to placate the players (try and squeeze an extra year or two from Nash [and in turn Kobe as well] and get Howard to resign by getting a coach who "he likes") instead of worrying about winning. I'd argue that every other name being thrown around would be a better fit in getting the team to win sooner, and that this move is one only to make the players happy.

I'm not a Lakers fan by any means (in fact, I get my smirks and chuckles when they are in the L column, because it keeps their fans from chirping so much) and this move is not likely to win the title any time soon. We've seen what the fast break offense does come playoff time, especially against teams who know how to D' up. Hope the Lakers enjoy that familiar taste of losing to the Spurs come playoff time (or the Thunder, or even the way Dallas is playing defense early on, them) because they might average 100+ points a game, but I'm willing to bet they're in the bottom 3 in points allowed as well.

Need help? Just ask (blank friend requests will always be ignored)
