Also, which backup is more suited to lead their team to the playoffs/further if these concussions are worse than initially thought or there is a setback? Campell or Kapernick? (I'm not including the Eagles. Will take a miracle for them to get in). I lean towards Campbell. Granted, not the best but you could do much worse. He atleast has NFL experience, a TD/INT of 74-50 and an QB rating of 82.
Yes, I do see rough times ahead. Just look at our performance tonight against the 1-7 (now 1-8) Chiefs.

Niners D has been suspect the last couple weeks so all Cambell has to do just work with the run game and maybe throw the ball up to Marshall a few times.
This link brings up a lot of valid points...

First of all, remember that the field was absolute trash by the second half and the weather was downright frightful. That the Bears had him throw 19 times was astounding.

That 11 of his tosses were complete should be cause for celebration.

Especially in comparison to the the other quarterbacks on the field. Cutler completed just seven passes on 14 attempts for 40 yards and two interceptions.

In an entire game, Texans starter Matt Schaub totaled 95 yards on 26 attempts, completing just 14 of them. He also threw a pair of picks, one of which should have been returned for a touchdown but was whistled dead. He threw a touchdown, yes, but overall it was a tremendously unimpressive performance.

I just want to be clear here. Campbell got almost as many yards as a guy who played a whole game, doubled his team's actual starter's total and threw no picks, all while coming in cold off the bench in the driving rain....and this is a failure?

At this rate, by week 12 no team in the NFL will have a healthy starting QB.

That's absolutely ridiculous (and untrue). Only three teams have even started their backup quarterback at some point this season, although that number is going to increase this weekend.

    So I exaggerated a bit.
Though there have been quite a few starting QB injuries just this week. (Vick, Cutler, Roethlisberger, Smith.)

    Well after watching TNF

good win by Bills but i don't see them benefiting from this win, i think the Dolphins losing basically gives the Patriots the division even if it this early

I'll admit I wasn't crazy about the new OT rules at first, but the Jags/Texans finish was really compelling. Although, I was kind of hoping to see ties in back to back weeks.

Not at all, note I said about to possibly give up. I wouldn't be too proud of going down to the wire in OT against a 1-9 team

Man, I was disappointed that the Cowboys won. I was when the Browns scored with like a minute to go.

Doesn't matter what the other teams record is, as proven by the Jags today. They are still an NFL team.

The Jags came out and punched us in the face and im so proud we kept fighting and never gave up. W is a W.

Speaking of the Jaguars, congratulations to them today. They've become the first NFL team to be mathematically eliminated from winning their division this season.

    Early game notes

Falcons win despite Matt Ryan's 5 picks and Cardinals changing qbs
    Redskins RG3 brillant against Eagles
My Cowboys win in ot v Browns
Packers win despite Mason Crosby's 3 missed field goals
Bengals do it easy over Chiefs
Jets finally win again as they beat Rams playing old school ground n pound football
Bucs win in ot over panthers after forcing ot with extremely late td and 2 point conversion
Texans win epic ot battle v Jags, Henne, Blackmon and Shorts very solid for Jags, Schaub with 2nd largest pass yards and Texans first to score twice in ot

    Late game notes

Saints get win to get to 5-5
Patriots show Colts how to play in belting
Broncos beat Chargers, basically taking division in process

    Currently watching SNF

    SNF notes

Ravens win in a close game, i personally think in 4qtr Leftwhich should have been taken out as he appeared injured and Charlie Batch should have come in, he probably may have to next week v the browns, whilst with the Ravens winning they take command of AFC North for now

Looking forward to tomorrows MNF between Bears and the 49ERS which i expect to be very defensive much like the Sunday night game
