    Samsung Galaxy S III

    BOOM! http://mashable.com/2012/05/03/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-2/
This thing looks awesome! Announced today, and I'm already on board - assuming something better isn't announced before it launches.
4.8" Super AMOLED HD (1280720) screen, 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.9-megapixel forward-facing camera, and runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. The camera stuff on it are super sweet. Has a burst mode that will take 20 photos super quick, and a option called Best Photo which will pick the best one out of a group of 8. (I don't know how. Maybe blink detection or something?)

A feature, Smart Stay, know if you're using the phone to read on the web or something, so you won't have to constantly wake up the screen.
A feature called Direct Call will call someone if you lift your phone to your ear while texting them. AWESOME! Basically, "Ok, yeah, texting, here is how you get here, oh and this and this and FUCK IT. I'm calling you!" Boom.
What I am super stoked about is S-Voice. Basically just awesome voice control. I think the Nexus has some voice control as well, but idk. This phone is shinier, and hopefully has better battery life.
Some other cool things like Buddy Share, which will detect your friends faces in pictures and ask you if you want to send it to them. S Beam allows you to transfer files super quick without wifi or cell service. Then AllShare Cast lets you connect to your TV, tablet, PC, etc.

Wantwantwantwantwant. Do you guys do android? Or iOS? Thinking about picking this up? So far, I'm on board.

I've been waiting for this to come out for awhile now. I've been due for an upgrade for months but I didn't want to get an i4S or Galaxy S-II since I knew something like this would eventually come out.

Although I personally prefer iOS over Android, mainly because of the notifications on iOS are superior, but my carrier doesn't have iPhones so I have Android. I currently have the Motorola Electrify and love it, 8 megapixel camera on back, front facing camera, dual core processor (super fast), and huge screen. If my contract were to end right before that SIII comes out I'd probably look into it though. Looks pretty sweet.

The lifting your phone to your ear while texting and it ends up calling someone could be a problem for me. I usually get halfway through a text and do something else so I'd have a bunch of accidental calls lol.

Will be getting it once it releases.

BTW to everyone on Verizon. If you still have an unlimited data plan you need to upgrade NOW!!! They're changing it up on the 28th of this month, to where for now on if you upgrade you have to change your plan to a normal data plan, instead of unlimited. You can still keep unlimited if you still have the plan, but you WILL NOT be able to keep it if you want to upgrade after the 28th. You can pre-order the Galaxy Slll now though, and still keep your unlimited plan. But you need to act now. That's what I am doing.

So I got this on release of Verizons. Who else got it? What you think?

I really like it, I love the 4g and the fast processor, how big the screen is and it being HD, no search button(most useless feature on most phones out today, seriously it's a waste of space. Thank you Samsung for not putting one), and the guerrilla glass, but there are many things I don't like about it.

Like the back button on the right side I absolutely hate. Being right handed you hit it constantly by mistake when holding the phone. Also the lock button being on the side and not on top(it's more than something you have to get used to). The volume controls opposite of the lock button gets annoying when having to press either one, you hit the other by mistake. Searching for something in google or any other it doesn't allow me to click the link that pops up, can't change it either. Still mobile web browser(come on Samsung, HTC does full web browser). The app tray I wish could be scrolled up and down, rather than side to side(minor but still a preference), also wish you could customize where to put the app widget on your home screen(considering getting go launcher to correct all this). The home button is nice but definitely could have been better. It's impossible to turn the 'Alert Thunderstorm Warning' off. Outside covering seems a bit flimsy and breakable.

I know I have a lot of gripes about it, but it's these things that keep it from being perfect. I have more things I love about it but they're mostly minor.

Thanks to Bladia for the amazing Sig and Avy.

most of those are prefrence reasons

you can set your browser to view full websites instead of mobile you know.

you can get a few things that change the lock screen if you want. though i don't know how it works on the S3.

Yeah but you still can't keep it that way though. You have to do it every time and you forget to do so. There should be a way to keep it full desk top view. Would be nice, and hope for an update to do so.

Also I know most complaints are preferences, but these are preferences that I see are better for most users out there. For instance, most people are right handed, so making the back button on the left would make more sense than to put it on the right as it is still easy to press, but not by accident. This is something most companies don't see sadly.

Also the lock button on the side you constanly hit by accident when grabbing it or putting back in your pocket, it's more of an annoyance. Also the volume control is exact opposite of the lock button, and pushing either you really accidentally push the other, either locking the phone or turning up the volume. Extremely annoying when in a class or meeting, or when you're watching something you have to reload when you hit the lock button.

I just see these things that imo would work for the better for MOST people, that I think Samsung overlooked.

Thanks to Bladia for the amazing Sig and Avy.
