Hey Khoro, if you don't mind I would like to ask a question about the Collector's Edition weapon DLC pack. I was wondering if those weapons were found in game through natural progression or something new. If you don't have the collector's edition that's fine but I wanted to know about this DLC pack and if it is worth it or not.
Thanks either way.
If anyone else who happens to see this and have some insight please feel free to answer.

I don't have the Collector's Edition myself, although from what I know you get the Hitman: Absolution DLC pack with it. This pack consists of 1 shotgun, 1 pistol, & 1 assault rifle (all unique). Sadly, it's not unlockable inside the game. If you want it, you will have to buy the CE or wait until it becomes available in the PS store.
There is, however, plenty of other weapons available for unlock in multiplayer (not to mention the different upgrades for each one). Can't speak for single player, as I haven't started doing that yet. Currently abusing the XP exploit to gain levels & play some real MP inbetween.

Would you care to share this XP exploit for when the most of us get the game?

Of course
.
The XP exploit was first posted in this thread: http://www.ps3trophies.com/forums/pl...hy-list-2.html
For those who want an in-depth description, read on (contains spoilers).
First off; kudos to DOPE BOI for noticing & sharing this with the rest of us!!

Now some background. To get the Shopaholic trophy, you will need to level your avatar to 60 three times
to earn Prestige levels (Prestige level 3 needed for the last buyable avatar). It's similar to Red Dead Redemption, for those who have played this. Needless to say, this will take a hefty amount of time to do .. even with the "exploit". It's not really an exploit, but more of a smart way to accumulate experience fast. There is nothing illegal or gamebreaking about it. How fast to gain the experience is entirely up to you. I'll keep calling it an exploit anyway though, to make it easier for me .. hehe.
This exploit makes you able to level up through the ranks without having to play with others. Nice for those who abhors any and all MP trophies, or those who just want to speed up the grind time. It's possible to do the same in the regular MP, but you will need very good skills to gain the same amount of points in as short a time.
Toggle Spoiler First of all, you will need to create a private match in the MP menu. There is 4 different choices, but for this purpose you should choose Rescue. This is a round-based mode where Team 1 attempt to recover medical supplies, while Team 2 to does everything to hinder & stop them from doing this. The first team to complete their mission goals will win the round (but not the match). Each match consists of a set amount of rounds. When the round is over, your team will switch sides with the other team. To win the match, you need to have a "best of x rounds" result.
After selecting the game mode, you will get a choice of 5 different maps. You can pick whichever one you want, but I can say from experience that the easiest to do this on is the Beach map, so choose that. You will now be in the lobby of your private match. On the right side you have your avatar with possibilities to invite more players along if you should choose (good for MP boosting), and on the left side you have 4 different options. These you need to focus a bit on.
First off is the Character Selection. This is where you choose which avatar to play with. Each of the two team types have their own set of avatars. Not really important, except for the aesthetically oriented players.
Second is the Loadouts. Here you choose the type of weapons to use, and which skills you want to have. The weapons themselves aren't important in this setting (you won't be shooting anyone), but the skills are. You can have two skills active at the same time; one Offensive and one Survival. For the Offensive skill, you want the one called Second Wind (makes you run faster, longer, and with shorter downtime). Unfortunately, this won't be available at the start, so you have to do some grinding to get it. Nothing to worry about though, as you can manage just fine without until you get it. To compensate for your bad luck you will have no issues with the Survival skill. Nice! The skill you want is the first one available; Advanced Looting. This gives you twice the amount of loot you pick up. Very important skill. Basically, loot is used as a currency to buy everything.. meaning the more you have, the better it is (until a certain point, at least).
Third you have the Switch Faction. This is where you choose between the two teams. Team 1 is Survivors while Team 2 is Solarii. Make sure to play as a Survivor for this.
Fourth is the important Match Options. Here you tweak the different win conditions. You can set the time limit (default is 10 min). Maximize this to 20 instead. Number of rounds can be set from Best of 3/5/7 (default: 3). Either choice is fine. Next up is the number of medkits to retrieve (default here is 5). Set this to max as well, which is 20. Last is the kill count of Survivors (default of 20). No choosing needed here. Leave as is.
Exit the submenu.
Alright! Finally ready for some action
. Press
to initiate the countdown timer.
As a Survivor, you have to pick up a medkit at point A and carry it to point B. The medkit shows on your screen as a small white box with a red cross on it
, along with an arrow to indicate where it is. Point B is a blue circle on the ground, and is shown as a tent on the screen. You start near this. The medkits will give you varying amounts of experience for the transport when you drop it off at the blue circle (aka: run over it). The longer you carry it, the more points you get. The medkits have 5 different spawn points, and will switch to a new location if you take to long in reaching it.
The most you can get is 500 for the longest haul. It's not really long at all, really, so don't fret over this. You will pick up on the different distances pretty fast. In addition you also get 750 points for dropping off the medkit itself. In other words, one medkit will give you 1250 points max. I won't bother you with the different bonuses you can get from doing this. Suffice it to say you will get somewhere between 26-27,000 points for each round.
In addition to the medkits, you will have some wood boxes spread out on the map. This is where your loot will come from. Simply stand next to it and press
. All boxes contain loot, ranging from 2-300, though some also have a perk in it (which you won't need .. heheh). It's a bit hard to give directions on where to run to maximize your loot income, although I can do this later when someone comes up with a Beach map. The only thing I can point out is to at least get both boxes in the underground tunnel for each medkit you turn in. At the moment, I can get 3 or 4 loot boxes for each medkit I turn in, which in turn nets me 15-17,000 each round (makes use of the full 20 minutes).
As you gain experience and currency, you will come to a point where you don't really need to do the loot boxes anymore. I haven't been counting how much I've spent, but a rough guess would be around 200-250,000 to buy everything. When you reach this point (or just want to focus on farming levels), you can complete the round in 8-10 minutes by just going for the medkits.
When the round is over and you've collected all 20 medkits within the time limit, you will go to a between-rounds screen. At this point, choose to exit the match.
Important Note: There is one hassle and one downside to this exploit. The hassle is that you have to manually set the Match Options each time you start a new match. The downside is that each time you exit the match it will show up on your Player Profile in-game. So for those who worry about such things, you might want to leave this trophy for last. There is plenty of people already using this method though, so noone will really stand out
