Backround information about yours truly

Where do I start...

, well my name is Jerry (with a J, no idea why people spell it with a G), I'm 18 years old and I am from Cork, Ireland where I'm currently attending college. Originally my username was going to be the same as my PS3 Trophies name but someone else took it and is never online apparently so I added the - to it which seems to cause confusion whenever people try to add me. I'm currently in college doing Computing. I have been playing games for over a decade at least, owning a PS2, PS3, PSP and the GBA. I have been addicted to collecting trophies since I got my very 1st trophy in Mirrors Edge and have been a Trophy Hunter ever since. Although I like collecting trophies, I don't bother with the likes of games like Hannah Montana for trophies although there are games while are considered to be only for those who are trophy whores that still peak my interest. I discovered this wonderful site back in 2009 and didn't start posting till a year later (no idea why). I have two rules when it comes to getting trophies:

1. I NEVER GIVE UP ON GETTING A PLAT
2. I GET TROPHIES THE HONEST WAY (I want to make it clear that I don't consider boosting to be cheating)

I have stuck to those rules since the beginning and I shall hope that I never break them. Apparently I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to trophies, i.e. not getting the trophy for beating MOH Frontline on hard for the 1st time and the Poker Ace trophy in RDR.

The first game that I played on the PS3 and what a game it is, being a fan of the Tomb Raiders, I was no stranger to these kind of games. I quickly got sucked into the story and became addicted to it. Even before the they added trophies to it I did every possible thing in this game, a true classic. Thank god that they did add the trophy support to it as it gave me an excuse to play this game all over again.

One of the most original games I have seen in the last five years. The Speed Runs and Time Trials were tough to beat, requiring tons of practice until you're familiarized with the entire level but still a very enjoyable game.

Never really been big into horror games, I really enjoyed it and like Uncharted 1, became addicted to it to the point where there was nothing else left to do. I haven't played this in over a year so i'm not really sure but Professional difficulty was as hard as hell and took a while to beat.

Really enjoyed Uncharted 2, the trophies were pretty much the same as the 1st one so they weren't too hard to get. Online also was good although I barely played much of it. This plat was made even more special by the fact that I got it on Christmas Day.

If it wasn't for the reviews, I probably wouldn't have got this game. After playing the atrocious 1st game, the 2nd one is a vast improvement with each assassination being unique and different as well as turning it into a sandbox style game. Very addictive. The game is actually quite easy to beat but the trophy for 10 kills without getting hit was the trophy that I think I found most difficult but if you can get past that and the trophy for collecting 100 feathers, it is an easy plat.

Well it's nice to be able to kill Nazis in 3rd person form for a change as well as playing as a fellow Irishman for once. A very decent a attempt despite the minor flaws, glitches and the time it takes to complete, its still an impressive GTA style game set in WW2 Paris.The game was such a bore to complete once I had had finished the story and that I only had the collectables to do, my god it was a nightmare to get done and so repetitive but still an easy plat.

As a fan of Westerns, it was obvious that I was going to get this game, tbh I saw a screenshot of it and I thought it was a third person game originally but to my disappointment when I played the demo, it wasn't. A decent game, the story mode is decent but online fails miserably, the online trophies take forever to get and it gets boring after 2 minutes. Also there is very few people playing online and also little or no people playing certain maps so the trophy for playing on every map was a pain. But the biggest pains were saved for hard mode and the D Day trophies, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have platted this game.

An example of gaming perfection, the best batman game around, an excellent story line, terrific voice acting and exceptional game play. Played the demo after reading the reviews and after playing it I thought to myself, this game is a must buy. The collectables were simple enough to find and get if you have a guide The challenges however were a nightmare, particularly both Shock And Awe levels.

Decent game, story is easy but is more Casino Royale than Quantum (should have called it Casino Royale in that case), multiplayer is a downer, not much to do, the game modes were annoying (cough, Golden Gun, cough) and only a few people playing it. Before getting a NAT 1 connection I had a NAT 3 and it wouldn't let me play online so I couldn't get plat which meant I would have had to give up, breaking my 1st rule but thankfully I got it to a NAT 1 and thankfully I got online working eventually getting platinum, making it the last plat I got in 2010.

This game is fun from beginning to end. Game wasn't too hard to beat, depending on what level you're on. Although the downside to this game is that it took multiple story playthroughs to get some trophies to the point where i memorized every line in the game, online is alright and co-op is fun if you are actually co-operating and not when you want to go somewhere but you're partner is killing zombies at the other side of the mall.

I love this game, my favorite game currently on the PS3, beating GTA 4 it is also my favourite plat trophy. Seeing the game before it was released cost me a huge amount of saliva (not sure if that makes sense or sounds incredibly disgusting, but I'll keep it in). The story mode was excellent although the ending is my least favorite game ending of all time and online is also good despite the arseh**es who are on it and shoot at you when you are in a FRIENDLY public server, which goes to show that there is a percentage of PSN users who are immature arseh**es. The DLC is also good, Undead Nightmare was good but way too short and the tomahawk was hard to use, no idea how I even got the Hail Mary trophy but somehow I did.

This game was HARD. Having not played this game since the early days of the PS2, I had forgotten how tough it was. Even on normal setting, this game proved to be difficult. Managing to complete it on hard for the first time, to my horror I didn't get plat to which I had a fit and causing me to replay it on hard, thankfully receiving it after completing it for the second time.

This game is unreal. I can't begin to describe how brilliant, imaginative and original this game is. Having just finished the story for the first time earlier, I gotta say, fair play to the writers for making such a brilliant story for which will require endless playthroughs to see every possible outcome and ending, a complete and total classic. Surprisingly easy to beat also, because I enjoyed this game an awful lot, getting the trophies wasn't a chore (aside from getting the endings obviously).

If it wasn't for Black Ops, this would be my favorite shooter of 2010. I really enjoyed the story mode, hard mode wasn't too bad but Tier 1 proved to be a challenge losing even more hair from dying in the last stage in a level. Online, however doesn't set the same standards, its a lot harder to kill people and after a few rounds it gets boring, ranking up for the Tier 1 trophy is very repetitive and takes forever to get unless you're boosting for it.

My favorite Tomb Raider so far. Played this game on the PS2 so it wasn't really hard although the final boss was a lot harder than I remember. Time Trials weren't difficult, managed to them in one playthrough except for Ghana which I constantly screwed up by jumps. Also the parts where you are riding a bike are boring as hell. This is currently my fastest plat after managing to get it in 2 days.

This is one of the easiest Tomb Raider games, second to Legend. Very good storyline, however the controls were very annoying as I'm used to the old controls which made it very hard at the start but eventually got the hang of it over time and finished the game in no time. This is probably the longest plat to get as I got it some time after it was released and the disc broke when I was 80% and left alone for about 2 years before getting the trilogy. If it wasn't for the disc breaking, it would have been my first plat but instead that title went to Uncharted. The game also would have gotten a higher personal rating if it hadn't been for the terrifying spiders and sharks.

Without a doubt the easiest Rockstar game that I have platted so far. Incredible graphics and excellent game play but like RDR, the ending was an incredible letdown. Also a letdown was the car damage physics which kinda felt like they were from the PS2, the limit of gun usage to certain missions and street crimes and the small amount of stuff to do after finishing the story in comparison to previous Rockstar games but all in all, an excellent game.

Without a doubt the hardest Call Of Duty in the series. Also some of the toughest trophies in any game, particularly Hardened War Hero and Sum Of All Zeros, but I consider it to be the most underrated game in the series. Never played much of online, only for the trophies but I consider the online mode to be the weakest in the series. Still an excellent game though and also the most realistic and authentic WW2 game and I've played hundreds of WW2 games.

This game really took advantage of the PS3s full potential, making a superbly detailed game that is just as fun and comical as its predecessors, online is good but like RDR, it's full of dumb arseh**es and it is a HUGE grind if you're willing to stick it out. While AWP was a pain and just plain sucks, I consider Fly The Co-Op to be the biggest challenge, especially when trying and failing miserably many times to beat it under the time limit. The DLC was good also, The Ballad Of Gay Tony was excellent, although getting 100% in the missions proved quite a challenge.

Really enjoyed this game, the story mode was very good although Veteran was even tougher than MW2. Never really played online much, only playing it for the few online trophies but I have mostly been playing Zombies which is one of the best things of the games and the series. These were definitely a lot tougher than the online trophies in WaW. I was lucky to be in a very helpful group who are seriously good at Zombies and managed to get the plat as well as my personal highest level reached in Zombies which was 23.

Very good game, I played this on the PS2 which was why I got the collection for the PS3. Very good story and Kratos is definitely one of the most bad ass characters in the history of video games. Few things I hate about it, one the camera: very annoying at times especially whenever I'm walking along a thin plank , making it difficult at times to tell if I'm close to the edge and I end up falling to my death because of it. Second problem, the Challenge Of The Gods: I hate it so much, room 10 was a nightmare, constantly swearing at it all night before finally completing it. Because of it, the difficulty shot up from a 7 to a 9. Overall, an excellent game.

Very good game although I prefer the first one to this one. Improved dramatically the slight faults I had with the first one like the camera. Although I don't think there is a huge difference in difficulty between the two, I do think the challenges were slightly easier than the first one, mainly because you didn't have to do this in one sitting and there is three less challenges in this one than there was in the first one but still it was a bit of a challenge to beat but it was an enjoyable game that is just as good as the original.

The best of the GOW trilogy and an epic end to it. The story is very good and not hugely difficult to beat except in titan mode which made it even a lot tougher but not impossible. The challenges were about the same as GOW 2 in difficulty but that last challenge was a serious pain to beat. While there were tougher trophies than Maxed Out like Inhuman, it ranks as the pain in the a*se trophy because I never had my weapons fully upgraded on the two occasions I played through the game so I had to play it again for a third time.

Even better than its predecessor, one notable point being that all the Borgia Flags were show on the map, rather than having to resort to a YouTube guide to find them all. The Feathers were even better, only like 11 of the damn things to find, overall the story itself was excellent and not difficult at all. Online however was much different. It was a serious pain tha a*se. Getting to level 50 was a grind, even by boosting it and don't get me started on Abstergo Employee Of The Month, at one point when I thought I got all the bonuses it didn't pop so I thought it glitched on me but thankfully it didn't but AEOTM is definitely my most hated online trophy to date.

The most surprisingly good game I've played to date. Never took notice of it when I first heard of it but decided to play the demo and immediately enjoyed it. Such a good storyline and gameplay. The trophies weren't too difficult, only one that gave me trouble was Stunt Master. Not even Rockhound was a bother despite taking forever to get but luckily didn't miss any. A highly recommended game to any sandbox game fans.

This game is good, a real step up from the original which was very repetitive. The game is surprisingly not too difficult but it's a very grueling and time consuming plat however. Story mode was very good but the collectables and other stuff were a pain. Hardcore mode wasn't difficult, about as tough as Infamous with only the second last mission giving me the most trouble. In my opinion, this is a greatly underrated game.

A decent game. Got it as part of the two free games from the Welcome Back programme. When I first played it, I immediately thought that it was one of the most overrated games I've ever played and left it but came back to it eventually and gave it another chance and eventually I became engrossed with it. Story was really tough, I ended up hasving to do my first playthrough on Normal as I died constantly on the first level on Grim so it took me even longer to plat it. Co-op was fun (Thank you Undrey for helping) but the loot trophies were just awful and a complete pain. Without a doubt the worst collectable trophy ever IMO is King Of The Looters. A good game all in all.

One of the most underrated games I have ever played. I initially avoided it after reading the reviews it got but saw some gameplay footage of it and decided to buy it and I'm glad I did. The plat was a bit harder than I thought, Insane was incredibly hard especially with the Crash Course level and the Octaking boss but everything else was just about manageable. There are some bad things about this game I found although it is mainly the loading time between levels as well as loading up the last checkpoint if you died which was absolutley shite and made dying even more unbearable.

Despite it being a complete clone of God Of War, this was still a rather enjoyable game. Game was not hard although the collectables were so annoying especially when you had about 5 different types making it very hard to keep track of which ones you have and which would be the next to find. Other than the collectables the trophies were not hard. Poetry In Motion was actually easier than I thought and so was Gates Of Hell which is a way easier challenge than any of the GOW ones.

The glitchest and laggiest game I have ever played. I'm new to the Fallout series so it took quite a while to get the hang of it and it was also a while before I started liking this game. Game wise, nothing too difficult here. Hardcore mode was a lot easier than I imagined and the only trophy that gave me any trouble really was getting banned from the casinos which was surprisingly hard for me anyway, overall this isn't a hard game to plat but it is time consuming.

The story was fine althought the driving trophies were such a pain, mainly Speed Run and 00 difficulty was slightly harder than it was in QoS but its the multiplayer that lets it down, its glitchy medals made this game even longer and more frustrating, only two maps and three different game types and boosting this game was almost impossile with those pain in the ass randomers who only ever play this game. Overall it's a decent story with a shite multiplayer.

First off, I think this game is overrated although I don't completley hate it. The game itself isn't such a nightmare to beat. Getting the hearts was not as bad as I originall thought, I only had to boost to get about 5 more hearts. The story wasn't too bad except when acing it which quickly became a pain on almost every level and then there was the prize bubbles which some were just hard to get, hard to find or both. Still though it wasn't bad if you used a guide like I did. Also this is a very special plat as it is my 2000th trophy so it does rank as one of my favourite plats regardless of my opinion of the game.

This was a really fun game mainly because of it's wackiness whter its just running up to someone and perform a finishing move to beating the shit out of Professor Genki and stealing a shitload of cash off him and its also a very addictive game too although I have a few complsints with the game like for one the plot is basically the same type as it was in SR2 and two, the fact that one of the best things about the SR games was killed off much to my annoyance. Other than those small things it is still a really good game.

This is definitley the easiest Uncharted available and this is also my least favourite Uncharted too. I can't put my finger on why but I was rather disappointed with it frankly. Don't get me wrong it was brilliant but again there was something about it that for the life of me that I can't figure out was lagging what the previous Uncharted's had. The plat was not at all hard, even on Crushing which I only had trouble in a few places here and there but nothing that gave me a headache.

The story is not bad but it felt a bit repetitive and the Janus Emblems wers a complete pain the arse especially because the Emblem Elite trophy glitched on me (a trophy never glitched on me prior to this one) and it was my last trophy too so I ended up deleteting and reinstalling my save and game data and had to collect them all again. The MI6 Ops mode was basically the same as Spec Ops in Modern Warfare 2 except much, much harder and the multiplayer was yet again a letdown because it was dead and the MP trophies again sucked.

This is one of the most surprising games I have ever played. I got this because I heard nothing but good things about this game and it turns out that all those opinions were justified. Feels like a Fallout game except no annoying glitches or freezes and the more I played it, the more addicted I got to this game. The story was just brilliant and the online was just as good and fun too.Only problen was getting to level 50 which was a bit of a pain but still managable so I highly recommend this game to anyone.

Two reasons why I got this game; one because I heard from friends and reading reviews that it was good and two because I got it for dirt cheap. The reviews and my friends weren't lying about it and I haven't played a whole lot of horror games. I don't think in my entire gaming history has an action game made me hold my aim button going around every corner in every level. Overall the plat wasnt bad vut Don't Get Cocky Kid sucked to much and when I was playing through Impossible I ended up having a sort of love/hate reationship with the game (if there is such a thing in gaming) as I kept thinking one minute I'll give an 8, the next minute I'll give it a 7 but once I got passed the first 8 painful chapter my luck changed finally so to sum u, the scariest game I've played for the PS3 so far (Well, scarier than Resi 5 anyway).

Much, much better than Arkham Asylum and also much easier too. Seriously when I first saw the trophy list I immediatley though this would be much harder than AA but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Yeah Perfect Freeflow was much, much harder than the one in AA because there was 13 moves to do and a lot of time I screwed up when I had just the Ground Pound left (don't how how but I did) but the challenges and the campaigns where very easy, seriously I managed to beat most of them on my first try although a few took several tries and New Plus difficulty wadn't as difficult either although the boss fights with Solomon Grundy and Ra's Al Ghul were very challenging but still very easy and absolutley brilliant.

The bad thing was the grinding at the end once I did my two playthroughs which I still had about six trophies still left so I was playing the CIA HQ level over and over again but still a moderately easy and very enjoyable game.

And this game now holds the record for the most trophies to pop at once with a 4-5 second gap in between with eight trophies which was previously held by its predecessor with six.

Out of the three I would consider this the weakest of the Splinter Cell's but it is still a good game nevertheless and most definitely the hardest. This is also the most grinding one as it took me 3 and a quarter playthroughs to plat and while Normal and Expert were a piece of cake, Hard which should be easier than Expert was.. erm.. hard but then again completing it without dying more than 5 times didn't make it any easier although most of the deaths were due to my carelessness. But getting past that, it is not too difficult a game.

Got it as part of the two free games from the Welcome Back package. By far the hardest game I've ever platted currently and definitely my proudest as racing games are not my specialty. There are so many difficult trophies in this game alone and all will end up driving you insane with rage because they will piss you off so much. Zone Zeus for example requires a very good driving skill especially when it comes to going around corners flawlessly at very fast speed and Beat Zico took around 600-700 laps to beat the incredibly crappy time and for ECL, it is plain luck to beat the cheating A.I. bastards. At least the DLC was much more easy going and forgiving than the main game.

So many problems with it but the main one was the ranks resetting which luckily only had happened to me just once and I was able to quickly recover and get the plat.

I'm a big fan of the Max Payne games so naturally I was really looking forward to it. While the game was excellent overall the was a seriously glitch/bug/freeze problem with the game that made me think that Rockstar rushed the game a bit. Story was good although I did miss the comic book cut scenes that the earlier games had and although completely unnecessary, the MP was not too bad. New York Minute Hardcore is obviously the hardest part of the game and it is hard enough without the game glitching on you like it did to me loads of times particularly on the second last level but overall it's not terribly tough if you know all the enemy spawns.

The best Hitman game there is without a doubt. Each mission was better than the last. Trophy wise not much difference again with the exception of the painfully boring High Roller trophy which isn't too painful of a grind but playing the same mission over and over to rack up 5 million isn't exactly enjoyable. Professional a step down difficulty wise from it's predecessors although at times there were some times when the A.I. were just pissing me off more than they did in the other Hitman games when their suspicions wouldn't go away.

While it is a very enjoyable addition to the Hitman series and has a replay value that is bigger than all it's predecessor's combined, I can't help but feel that this addition is far away from what a Hitman game. No longer a get in, kill target, get out game that lasts about 12 missions like it's predecessors. Most of the missions are getting from point A to point B without drawing attention and with the occasional target to eliminate every few missions or so. That is not to say this game is awful which is not purely because of the challenges each mission has which has me coming back to each mission and try and figure out what some of them require me to do and thus I think redeems itself somewhat.

A list of my personal favorite trophies that I have earned (excluding plats)

Dastardly - Red Dead Redemption

Before I start, no I am not some sort of sick, perverted sadist, ok moving on. This is possibly one of the most messed up trophies I have earned. I wonder who came up with idea of a trophy where you kidnap and a hogtie a woman, escape the lawmen and place her on a track, waiting for an incoming train to dismember her into bits? Whoever it was, I'd like to give that person a pat on the back for creating such a fun and easy trophy. This trophy is incredibly easy, only difficult bit are escaping the lawmen once you successfully captured and hogtied a woman but after that it is a piece of cake.

Sweet Goodbye - Mirrors Edge

Difficulty: 2/10
Personal Trophy Rating: 10/10

Finally, a trophy where you can flip someone the bird. Simple enough really, just jump and quick turn around as you're diving backwards with an enemy behind you and flip them the bird. A trophy just for sticking it to the man is definitely an awesome trophy in my book.

Party Pooper - Batman: Arkham Asylum

Difficulty: 2/10
Personal Trophy Rating: 10/10

Not the sort of thing you see everyday especially after Batman owns them every time they try to attack them, seeing the Jokers goons cheering you on as you make your way inside the building to confront the Joker. But unable to bear seeing Joker's goons being nice to me for once, I just go and kick the shit out of them and I get a nice shiny trophy in return for being hated by Joker's goons once again.

Knock, Knock-Out - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Difficulty: 4/10
Personal Trophy Rating: 10/10

Very amusing trophy mainly because when you bash a door open when there is an enemy on the other side, they just fly across which is why this trophy gets a special mention. This trophy isn't terribly difficult although it can be troublesome at times to lure a guard to a door but the payoff is worth it in the end.

Thanks a lot man. I prefer to have plats that require dedication than a whore plat that would only take a few minutes to beat.
The checklist will be basically the same as the one on the old site minus all the codes from Manny's BB code guide which I hope to god someone saved the guide as my checklist will look very plain without it when it's finished.

Got headers for my checklist now (many thanks to ABSTRACT for them) and now got the trophy tags and video links for my wishlist which now means that I've now fully restored my checklist to what it was on the old site efore it went down.
Trophy wise, because of college eating up most of my time now

, I've ended up limiting my gaming to mostly weekends and sometimes on weekdays which is why I haven't earned a platinum in a while now. I've been mostly boosting the 007 Blood Stone trophies and playing Duke Nukem Forever and boostong the Uncharted 2 DLC trophies which are a serious pain.

Major update, my first update to checklist in weeks and my first plat in a month and also the first plat I got after the site had been rebooted (all because of college

). Duke Nukem Forever is such an underrated game, doesn't deserve all the crap it's gotten. It was a lot harder than I originally thought which I found on some levels on Insane but still managed to beat it and it's now among one of my favourite plats.
