I’m 21 years old and I’ve been gaming since I bought my first Gameboy when I was 4. I've been posting on this site for around 2 years. I currently attend university so I try to fit in a little gaming whenever my schedule clears up (which is almost never…). I would say my actual trophy hunting times are summers and winter breaks, otherwise I’m ~100km away from my PS3!! I’m a very big fan of RPGs and First Person Shooters and try to plat most of them. My trophy count isn't amazing since we don't get Gamefly up here in Canada, but I try to hunt as much as I can from by borrowing games, so it usually takes some time for me to get new games!! but that new game smell is really nice!!

Gotham City Impostors - Kill Crazy
This silver looks and is probably very difficult especially without boosting. Luckily, I was able to get this in a TDM which is pretty Not only that, but I also got Hero of the Hour in a Fumigation match by sheer luck, so I might look into 100%-ing this game eventually!
Past Trophies of the Month
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 - UEFA Champions League Winner
I chose this trophy since we just finished Euro 2012.
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention - Reverse Pirates! Everything is Mine!
I hated this trophy in the PS3 version and I didn’t enjoy it in the Vita version! This trophy is half luck and half skill. Can you spawn on that good map? Do you have the amount of monsters you need to bounce everything on the ship? You have to be able to say Yes to the both of these questions added to the fact that you need to have grinded for hours upon hours getting those uber stats and fully upgraded shoes. This trophy demands patience and conviction.
Mass Effect 2 - Insanity
This is a frustratingly satisfying gold trophy to get. This was the trophy that almost made me stop hunting for the platinum in Mass Effect 2. This trophy, in my opinion, is no easy feat especially on some missions involving Husks, Scions, and Collectors in general. In this game, cheating the corner technique is very important as some missions are almost impossible without it. BUT when you fight that giant robot terminator man (spoilers), it’s very very satisfying.
Great game and a great gift to PS+ owners by Sony They gave us the first inFamous and now they give us the sequel This game was really enjoyable since you have most of your abilities to start off with this time around and you don’t have to go sewer diving to unlock abilities. The missions are similar to those in the first inFamous and the good/bad karma missions come back as well. Going bad karma isn’t as fun this time around as the first though since Cole looked BADASS at maxed out negative karma in the first game, but he just looks badass in this game. It’s also nice that they took out the stunt based trophy and just made it to unlock further abilities UGCs are a nice addition to the game for those that are creative. Main thing I hated was grinding xp at the end of the game to get the rest of the abilities. Yes, I know I could replay with bad karma to get the 15k xp, but I messed up an early karma mission, so I got most of the karma based trophies near the end and didn’t feel like replaying the entire game again what with all them necromorphs running around Trophies, not hard at all, blast shards are super easy to find now, dead drops are obvious, just need to grind out the abilities trophy.
Hardest Trophy Tip: You could start on negative karma and try the infinite xp glitch (I’ve never tried it) or you could do what I did at the end and stand on top of a giant lamp post in the trainyard and blow oil tankers up for 35xp and reload UGC to respawn them. OR replay the game .
This was a game that had great potential to be a really fun dogfight game, but they missed the mark with the programming on the AI. The controls are pretty solid, the gameplay isn’t too bad either, the sound is average. The great thing about the game is that it’s like Star Fox 64! what with the barrel rolls Now, the AI. The AI is unquestionably one of the cheapest ones I’ve faced in a while and trust me on this, I’ve played my fair of kart games. In the races, the rubberbanding is just pure insanity. You can have 3 star parts and race awesomely, but somehow the AI planes can easily keep up, pass you or shoot you down. In dogfights, man the AI just pulls off insane maneuvers to evade your missiles and they can somehow keep up with your score no matter how many AI planes you shoot down. Trophy-wise, tedious, grindy, frustrating. I would only recommend this in a competition situation.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Retry over and over until you get 1st and don’t come back to it with better parts since it really doesn’t matter as the AI can keep up with you no matter what. Rather retrying will be better as the map is fresh in your mind as well as the item locations. Orbital strikes are very helpful in dogfights and shields are lifesavers during races.
Fantastic game to be platinum #50! I learned from this game to never judge a game by its cover art. I think I never gave this game a chance at first because the cover art wasn’t very appealing, but glad I finally gave it a try at the end. It combines 2 of my favorite genres, FPS and RPG which is just great! The story isn’t the strongest, but the gameplay is really awesome with its bazillions of guns and has smooth controls which is always a must for a shooter. I would change the vehicle controls, though, since it gets hard to turn sometimes. I would highly highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a super bloody shooter with things exploding and definitely buy the GoTY edition for the DLC. Trophies, this game doesn’t have necessarily hard trophies, but have a very grindy trophy near the end.
Hardest Trophy Tip: You can play the game 2 times and it will pop near the end of the second playthrough or you can find a friend and bug them to level you up while he murders high level mobs OR if you just want to rush it, you can use the med station exploit.
I’m so happy when I was done with this game. The story in this game is pretty weak and the dialogue that Rex says throughout the game does not make it any better. Bad puns are said as well as 1337speak that just got pretty annoying. The graphics in the game are sub-par at best. The combat system isn’t the greatest especially the gun. It shoots 3 times then has to “reload”, so unless it’s a range or flying enemy, it’s almost unusable. There’s almost no difficulty in the game since you heal quite a bit after every defeated enemy and the omega builds make you invincible temporarily plus gives you super damage. However, the most unforgivable thing about this game is the dropped frame rates during most fights. In my opinion, this is a rental at most. Trophy-wise, lots of trophies are unlocked through the story mode, but some are a pain in the @$$.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Find a good farming spot and reload until the DNA drops, head to the next checkpoint and restart level.
This may seem different from what I usually say about games on my checklist, but this was a terrible game. The only reasons why this deserves a 3 are the landscapes built into each track (they are actually quite nice), cameos made by characters that didn’t become racers, and the soundtrack (especially the ones in How to Train Your Dragon). Now, I know the rubberbanding phenomenon occurs in all racing games, but good racing games are able to somewhat hide this effect from the player and reproduce this as a tougher difficulty. This game doesn’t do that. The AI in this game is really terrible. Somehow computer drivers can catch up half a lap to you with invisible nitro, but falls to an ant’s crawl in the last lap. I used Shrek for a lot of the races and Skipper (the penguin from Madagascar) can bump and knock me away whereas when I hit computer drivers, it’s equivalent to braking. There is a lot of problems with this game, but I can’t sum it up in a short brief review ~ take my word for it, it’s really not worth the time.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Be good at kart games and drift whenever possible. Avoid computer drivers because they do not play fair and depending on the challenge, always have a shield potion handy.
Ahhh the last game in the Sly trilogy… The “last” adventure for Sly in the PS2 days. Another great open world game with new abilities and new challenges. Not much have changed from Sly 2; Graphics, enemies, style of playing are all similar to the old games. I really liked the story since it takes characters from the past and incorporates it into this new game It’s nice to know what happens to the villains that you defeat in the game and what happens to the rest of your team members after the game I loved the improvements made from Sly 2 to this game though, a signal that tells you who has a job to do and the ability for Murray to mug someone is simply awesome! I’m kind of sad about Bentley at the beginning of the game, but no spoilers I cannot wait for Sly 4!! Trophy-wise, I would say this is much harder than Sly 2 because of the challenges. Some challenges are really easy, but some are almost downright unfair.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Patience is a virtue here. Most of the challenges are relatively simple since they just require you to redo part of the jobs you’ve already done in the main game. Some are a bit more tricky though. My advice would be to wait until you’ve finished the main game before attempting any of the challenges and upgrade most of your abilities to help you. Moreover, one of the challenges to note is the bombing run with Bentley in chapter 1, getting the turret on the grapple cam makes it infinitely easier since the strafing system is not as good as I wished.
A great addition to the Sly collection. I really enjoyed the addition of the open world exploration in this game. Granted, it’s not a huge open world, it’s a small sandbox that lets you use gadgets and throw enemies in front of trains or off a plane You’re also able to use Bentley and Murray in this game and use their set of skills like crossbows. The “romance” between Sly and Carmelita continues to grow and expand and makes me want them to succeed in future Slys There are new gadgets and power ups that makes the game even more fun like alarm clock distractions. The new mini-games are also just as fun as the ones in the first Sly and like the ones in the first one, it’s fun AND challenging, not frustratingly hard. Trophy-wise, almost 90% of the trophies can be obtained through single player and the rest can be gotten by reloading over and over to buy all the weapons needed.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Not hard, but you just have to be good at the turret controls. Make defense your priority and when Clockwerk-la starts glowing, unload all your rounds into it or the red laser ray will take out half your remaining health. Purple rings usually take one hit to flip it to non-lethal, just be sure not to hit it again or it’ll become lethal again. The fight changes to a new stage after 3/4 of its health is gone.
I was so happy when I finally platted this game! I’ve more or less given up on the platinum after the only group of 3 I got in failed to get Deadly Ballet. But today, I got a message from my boosting group and we finally got it!!! Shoutouts to MerioMerio and Kingdom320 if you’re on here! The game itself is a decent shooter, controls feel like BF3, so it’s a bit clunky at first, but you get used to it. The story is not very……capturing, would be the word I would use to describe it. Though you will need to play through it at least 3 times to plat it X_X I'm also quite disappointed that there wasn't more of a western feel to it. There's one part where you are in an old west town, but that's it. Trophy-wise, if you have a few friends that have this game and willing to help you, it would be a simple plat. Though, if you’re like me and don’t know anyone with this game, the online trophies are like painful beyond all belief. Single-player stuff is not too difficult and even easier if you opt for the easy method and glitch the game.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Get a solid online group and get them to register on the site, so you guys can use the IM system to communicate or use skype, msn, etc… to coordinate it easier. Chapter 15 is the preferred level to do this on since there is a team entry right at the start. Personally, I liked chapter 3 as there are 2 team entries and all 4 of the enemies are out in the open which makes things so much easier
I was really happy I bought all 3 Slys during the sale especially since I never gave it a chance back in the PS2 days. This is a really fantastic game with a fun story and quirky characters. The minigames are all fun and challenging, but not hard There’s only a few things that I would change; The ability to change the camera angle, so I can look up and down and checkpoints during long sequences. All in all, a very fun game with a great cast of characters. I was a bit disappointed that the storyline isn’t super long, but the great story makes you ignore that Trophy-wise, a very simple plat. You don’t even need to follow the trophy guide to get it! The collectibles are straight forward and not hidden in any super hidden caves which is always nice when there’s like 40 on each level
Hardest Trophy Tip: This trophy isn’t hard, but rather the time-consuming one and I use that term very loosely here. The bottles on each level are simple to find and usually come in 2s or 3s. The vaults are usually at the end of each level, but some are at the beginning as well. You can consult the trophy guide if you want to blaze through it.
Got this free with PS+ last month and like the first LBP, a lot of fun. The story in LBP2 is much more interesting to me and the new gadgets are really fun to use like the rocket launcher helmet Visually, LBP2 remains to be very impressive and Sackboy remains as cute as ever I haven’t thoroughly used the old create a level system, but what I see is that the new create system has improved with all the logic modifiers. This is a really fun game that fans of platformers should definitely try or if you have PS+, it is definitely worth the download. Trophy-wise, it is super easy compared to the first LBP. It is a lot easier to boost levels with their website system and most of the trophies that are reliant on other online players have been toned down. I was a bit sad when my PS3 YLOD’ed on me while playing this since I basically lost around 4 hours for the create mode trophy. But good thing I have a turbo controller or else that would be reallllllly painful
Hardest Trophy Tip: Acing all levels is still hard, but it feels infinitely easier than the first. My tip here is to play through the entire game without worrying about this trophy. Take each level slowly and watch out for traps along the way because the last thing you want is screwing up on the last jump right before the scoreboard.
Mario Kart in disguise can sum up this game. Personally, I didn’t really like this game. It’s a kiddie driving game, but the learning curve is surprisingly steep. I’m not saying that’s the reason I don’t like it though. The reason I didn’t like this game is that the AI cheats. It’s hard to describe, but just imagine Mario Kart and right when you’re about to cross the finish line, a red shell hits you followed by a blue shell and everyone just passes you. Another part that made me is that no matter how much I hit the computer drivers with attacks, they seem to just brush it off and just speeds away :/ Trophy-wise, piece of cake. I could have platted this yesterday if I stayed up a bit later
Hardest Trophy Tip: Be good at Mario Kart or you’ll just need a bit of practice to get the mechanics of drifting along with offense and defense mode. The first grand prix seems the hardest, but gets less and less difficult as you progress through the game.
A very awesome game that makes you think with portals Well, Portal 2 is a fantastic sequel to the first Portal. The mood is set a little creepy and mysterious which adds to its atmosphere. Much of the gameplay is the same as the first Portal with the exception of the new mobility gel and other minor additions. Personally, I had more trouble with the first Portal than this, so I would actually say this is easier. A great character that’s introduced is Wheatley So awesome with an awesome English accent The Co-op mode is also a great addition and is probably even more fun if you have someone else playing with you at the same time XD Trophy-wise, some trophies are tedious while some are a bit time-consuming. The Co-op trophies can be hard or easy depending on whether or not you have a boosting partner.
Hardest Trophy Tip: The majority of section 4 courses can be done by yourself with a bit of patience with the exception of course 8. That course looks hard and is quite tedious. There are spikes everywhere, but not all of them will kill you as long as you stay inside the Excursion Funnel. I would highly HIGHLY recommend a partner in the same room as or if they don’t want to play, force them Take it really slowly and follow a youtube guide because you do not want to replay these 9 course over and over again because you forgot a hard light bridge or forgot to jump.
A Vita game I am proud to own and plat. PvZ on the Vita plays just like its counterpart on the iOS, but it’s pretty cool to shake the Vita to collect the sun and money without clicking everything Visually, this game is fantastic and runs really smoothly. The only grief I have with it is minor lag when the hordes of zombies grow exponentially on endless survival. Besides that, I would recommend this game to anyone who haven’t played any PvZ before or would like to grow their Vita library with a quality game Trophy-wise, not too difficult ~it requires some thought about strategic plant placements and grinding, but nothing super tedious.
Hardest Trophy Tip: It’s all about knowing the counters for each zombie and the strengths each plants have. Watermelons, Wintermelons, Gloom Shrooms, and pumpkins are invaluable on all levels. However, you will need explosive plants like cherry bombs, jalepenos, and squashes are super important when dealing with gigas.
I am really proud of this platinum and I haven’t said that in a long while. This platinum took perseverance, patience, and different strategies on the fly. I have spent so much time just cursing at my tv while playing because of the choices the AI makes. For example, a 4-3-2-1 formation is really annoying to break through especially on Become a Legend when you basically HAVE to score a hat trick every game + a few assists. Not only that, but the manager AI is just as annoying as they usually sub you off at around 60 – 70 minutes in game time. You might stay on for the entire game, but that solely depends on luck. Gameplay is the same as all of the past PES versions. The sound is pretty amazing ~ you actually feel like you’re at a football (for our European friends ) match. The graphics are pretty stunning as well. I think the character models look very similar to the actual person, the in game movies are very nice, and the menu looks more “sleek” than in the old games. Trophy-wise, it is not difficult, but it will take a long long time and becomes much harder if you’re not a fan of football.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Proud Skipper is being chosen as team captain for the team you’re on in Become a Legend. This must MUST be done on a created character. You can’t start on a super character like C. Ron or Messi and just blast through the season. You have to start on a terrible character and pay your dues on a weak team and play every game, score the most goals, be the assist leader, and get an 8.0 rating in almost all the matches. Your captain should talk to you 3 times during the season and at the end to tell you that you have been chosen. If you don’t get played often at the beginning of the season, I would just restart instead of risking it because believe me, 38 fixtures seem short, but becomes a long grind after a while.
I’m happy I’ve played this game, so now whenever someone says to me that Retro games are better than new ones, I can finally say with confidence ~ Are you insane!?!? I’m so much more thankful for checkpoints, sprint buttons, no such thing as off-screen, and 3-D. Man, so much of those games don’t have checkpoints and you die in a few hits just pissed me off so much lol and just in general, a lot of these games were just so frustrating! I would recommend this for older gamers who want to re-live the games of their youth and I would also say that it’s a good game for everyone else to try ~ Trust me, you’ll be amazed on how much more we’re pampered afterwards
Hardest Trophy Tip: Luck, patience, and skill. The computer is unforgiving. You have to basically beat him within 2 minutes or you might as well restart. Persevere and keep fighting and ignore his cocky face and eventually he’ll kill himself.
Great movie, but the game falls short. The game follows the movie plot-wise, but the detail on each level is definitely different than movie. Not much to say about this game other than it’s what you expect in a kid’s game ~ simple, limited violence, easy trophies. This game would be a rental at most and that’s for anyone who enjoyed the movie ~
Hardest Trophy Tip: Catch every single butterfly or dio bug you come across and follow a trophy guide that shows you all locations of the artifacts. Break every single thing you come across to unlock the quest cards as well to get another on the way.
I’m going to compare this game to Assassin’s Creed since they have very similar mechanics and made by Ubisoft around the same time. I would definitely vouch for Assassin’s Creed over Prince of Persia for sure though. The parkour jumping system in PoP doesn’t seem as fluid as in AC. I really don’t like the combat system since the Prince can barely move when his sword is out and whenever you’re within range to attack, it either gets instantly deflected or more likely, the enemy hits you mid-swing and you fall down. I found myself literally positioning myself near the edge, win the QTE and push them off instead. The thing I really liked about this game was the combo system since after every attack, the game gives you a second or two to link the attacks which is nice considering there are so many combos in the game. The respawn system is a godsend! You will fall off so much because of weird jumps, but you instantly respawn at the edge which is nice Trophy-wise, if it wasn’t for the 1.01 patch that basically gives you the two hardest trophies in the game, it would be rather hard to plat, but BECAUSE of the patch, this game is very simple, just very time consuming.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Collect every light seed you come across to make things go quicker when you’re just down to finding them to plat the game. Video guides and word guides actually don’t help as much since most seeds are out in the open and easy to get. When you’re down to one or two (the more well hidden ones), you can youtube it and usually people will be missing the ones you’re having trouble with and have a time link in the comments.
Always loved the Ratchet & Clank series, but I was a bit hesitant to buy this since it got such bad reviews. Now that I’ve finished and plat it, I don’t really know why it got bad reviews. I highly enjoyed the campaign and using Dr.Nefarious Especially when in one of the cutscenes, one of the characters said we were fighting Collectors!! At that moment, I came to a conclusion that the cycle Ratchet is in is ending! But seriously, the game is fantastic and plays like the old series. The campaign is a bit short which is kinda bad since the A Crack in Time had a great campaign which was long and detailed. The Ryno took a hit in this game ~ it’s know a robot suit instead of a mega gun that vaporizes everything on the screen. Trophy-wise, some trophies are annoying since they require you to play through a few stages without dying and if you mess that up, you gotta restart all over again. Not only that, but your AI partner sometimes mess things up for you and that’s just frustrating.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Very very grindy to get 1,000,000 bolts on 1 character and like the guide says, use someone that’s not Ratchet since everyone seems to use him. I went with Nefarious, but I think Qwark would be best since he has the almighty shield of absolute protection. Play online when going for this since you get A LOT more per map online with 3 other people than by yourself. Uzo city is the best since they’re pretty short and the bolt payout is very high. Don’t worry when people get butthurt when they lose and quit the game half way through, you only lose the end of stage bonus, but you keep all the bolts you’ve collected. Trust me, this happens a lot.
I played the original Killzone back on the PS2 and back then, I didn’t really get into the story since well, back then, I was just a kid. But now, from what I remembered from KZ add on to the plot of KZ3, I think I can piece together the story I have put many many hours into the FPS genre, so to sound a little smug, it wasn’t much of a challenge. The biggest challenge would be the lack of crosshairs on Elite. Though, if you’ve played enough FPS games, you can almost envision the crosshairs in your mind!! Controls are very smooth, the sound effects are what you expect from a shooter, and the visuals are very well done. The blood splatter effects is fantastic
Hardest Trophy Tip: Elite isn’t as daunting as it sounds. Compared to other FPS hardest difficulty, this isn’t too bad. Think of it similar to veteran on MW3. Hard, but not impossible. First thing to take note of are grenades. These guys nade like W@W. You here that grenade sound, run. Your guns are NOT accurate besides the first shot and that’s when you ads. If you’ve played Mass Effect 2, you should know the value of Heavy Weapons. In KZ3 though, use your heavy weapons freely, there are so many ammo crates on every level that you will never run out of bullets and spray like a ______. Just be patient on some levels and take it slow around every corner. The most annoying and rage inducing part of Elite would be the railshooters. It’s basically spray and pray for the most part.
I’ve never played any of the past GoW games, but I heard it was similar to DMC in combat and I was pretty good at the DMC4 demo. This game was pretty fun since it has a wide array of weapons all with unique abilities. My favorite are the Nemean Cestus for its crowd control ability and what appears to be a higher damage The challenges weren’t too bad compared to some of the other games I’ve played. The story, I would assume concludes the GoW series since Kratos basically kills everyone, so unless he goes to Hades and double kill them, I don’t think Ascension will be a sequel. The visuals, sound, and controls are all fantastic and there’s almost nothing to complain about. Trophy-wise, lots of missable trophies, so if you want to finish this in 1-2 runs, use a guide. Most trophies are easy except for a few of the challenges and the Titan mode trophy.
Hardest Trophy Tip: I would say Unhuman is an understatement. This difficulty puts all your knowledge of the game to use. The timing for counter attacks, magic, dodges and the likes are all super important and can make or break a fight. Something I thought was important was starting Titan right after I finished easy. This way I would have more memory of each fight and the patterns the bosses use. Pick up all the collectibles to max out your weapons, health, magic, and items as this will help A LOT in the later fights.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune…the game that started it all! This was a great game ~ storyline was pretty solid with a short twist that made me thought of a different boss fight (dammit Sully! ). Visuals are solid for such an old game. Crushing was HARD! Like intensively crazily difficult There are just so many points that just made me go WOW..really? or How is this even possible? But sometimes you have to stick it through as once you make it, the platinum feels that much sweeter. Compare this to Mass Effect 3 on insanity and ME3 feels like a stroll in the park compared to this.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Go slow. SLOW. And cheat the corner at every opportunity. Handguns kill you in 3 shots; The Wes .44 and shotguns brutally murder you in 1 hit. There are many points in the game where enemies carry these weapons and charge you, so use L3 to your advantage. Bullets are more important than power, so take a weak handgun and try for a headshot rather than a body shot with a strong, but low ammo handgun. Consulting guides are also super helpful especially on chapter 4, 5, 11, and the Gollum chapters.
Again, these family games prove themselves to be very difficult games. The story is quirky and reminds me why Ice Age was such a good movie The challenges…these are the REAL challenges. I’ve spent more time on a single challenge than on multiple levels of Spec Ops in CoD combined. The time on the challenges are very unforgiving and even making one tiny error and mess up your run! Not only are the times unforgiving, but you can easily fall off a ledge and boom! GG This game is actually pretty amazing! It’s like Ratchet & Clank, but toned down on explosions and super giant weapons. The controls are perfect imo. Not only that, there’s a part in it that reminds me of Starfox 64 – Let’s be honest, THAT game is amazing. Trophy-wise, could be short, could be long; depends on your skill and requires you to practice over and over. But hey, challenges are SUPPOSED to be hard. On a side note, I don’t care what the platinum difficulty is rated as, it’s a solid 5 out of 10 because of those challenges.
Hardest Trophy Tip: Practice over and over and over and over until you get it. Go fast otherwise, you won’t make some holes or the ice floes will sink on you. Let the dodo birds fall off the ledges instead of fighting them head on. And always ALWAYS drift. It’s the only way you’ll make some corners at top speed.
Let me start by saying – This is NOT a children’s game. It’s game based off of a family movie I haven’t watched Monsters vs. Aliens yet, but after playing this game, I’ll probably watch it. I have a love-hate relationship with this game as the controls are smooth and I would assume it follows the movie closely, but the camera angles are terrible at times and there’s quite a few annoying bugs; The most noticeable is a character named B.O.B sliding through a grate even after I absorbed a block ~ this is very annoying when doing the challenges that are time-based. The visuals are nothing amazing ~ I would say pretty standard for a 2009 game and it has a casual mood even though aliens are invading Earth Though the campaign is a bit short. Personally, I HATED the Ginormica missions!!! Getting through those levels flawlessly was a pain! Trophy-wise, this is where my NOT a kid’s game statement is even more valid. A whole playthrough dying less than 10 times!! There’s a bunch annoying and borderline on unfair times in the game. Getting flawless on most of the levels to get increase your point total and some unforgiving challenges ~ this is a not a simple game to plat.
Hardest Trophy Tip (may contain spoilers): Dying less than 10 times is not easy. Early in the game, yea it seems easy to blaze past without dying, but just wait, they get exponentially harder. And yes, as the guide says, you MUST quit the game to the XMB menu using the PS button ~ NOT just select quit game from the start menu.
For Ginormica levels: If first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Honestly, there are no tricks or cheats to get through this.
For The Missing Link levels: Use his leap attack to 1 hit most enemies and use his attack in all other cases as it gives 360 degrees after protection.
For B.O.B. levels: Slow and easy wins the race. Lots of puzzles and platforming (in a way)
I LOVE Disgaea!! Bought this right at release and even though it’s a direct port from the PS3 version, I still enjoyed it I enjoyed the story the first time around and it was very fun playing it for the second time as well!! It has a quirky story that makes everything that you think is right is actually wrong ~ *sigh* I wish I can be an honor student by skipping school! The battle system is the same as the old Disgaeas…which is a good thing!! Why change something when it’s awesome the way it is!! Though this game is not for the light-hearted JRPG fan ~ you have to know coming into this, you are prepared the grind to level 9999 on multiple characters (which sounds more difficult than it actually is) and get the uber items and stats!! Trophy-wise, NIS toned the difficulty down a bit, but it’s still quite hard. Do not expect an easy fast plat if that’s what you’re looking for ~ ~
Hardest Trophy Tip (may contain spoilers): This trophy is half luck and half skill. The map has to be good, you have to have an idea of how bouncing works and the War Galleon pirate ship. If the map has holes in between you and the innocents, you have no chance and should just reset. Get max shoes with boosted movement and go through class world a few times to upgrade movement and throwing range before starting. Once all the prep work is ready, use the characters with the most movement to reach far treasure chests on the first turn and bounce them all back to the ship. On the second turn, you should have most of the treasure chests and at least half of the innocents on the ship. On you last turn, grab everything else and wait for the ding! When your ship leaves.
This game strongly resembles Super Smash Brothers, but with characters from the Cartoon Network and my childhood The issues I have with this game mounts up to a lot of crucial elements of a SSB-type game ~ the controls aren’t very smooth, there seems to be a small delay between my inputs and attacks, the campaign mode is…moderate at best. Another thing I didn’t like were the character models…So many of my favorite childhood characters looked stoned Bubbles should never look stoned!!! Trophy-wise, nothing challenging at all about this platinum. I would consider No Big Deal the hardest trophy as the campaign mode is frustrating at times ~ checkpoint issues and the automatic death at 300% piles up fast if they land a single hit on you. On hard, the enemies can gang up on you so quickly that it doesn’t seem fair Other than that, everything else is either luck or pure grinding.
Hardest Trophy Tip (may contain spoilers): Run past every fight that’s not necessary and just keep attacking during non-skippable fights. If you try to shield roll like SSB, you’ll realize it’s not as effective and you get hit mid-roll. Monkey, Numbuh 1, Samurai Jack are awesome fighters and Bubbles is a great runner with quadruple jump.
I would call this a short movie rather than a game because this game is more or less a giant cutscene. You get to perform actions like opening a door and brushing your teeth coupled with some QTE action sequences, but that’s really all to it. I enjoyed the story the first time I played through it and imo, the story isn’t too bad!! I enjoyed walking around screaming my kid’s name at random strangers’ faces I would say this game is worth playing if you enjoy a game with a good story and some emotional attachment. The visuals are also pretty nice except for some characters like Lauren ~ her face freaks me out lol ~ Trophy-wise, this platinum is rage inducing. You can’t skip cutscenes with no QTEs and the controls are…different. Some chapters are pointless if you’ve played the game through already since you know who the killer is, so watching it 6-7 times is PAINFUL! Don’t try to punch through all the endings in one sitting though, it’ll drive you nuts. In addition, the requirements for all the endings is just sad…just so sad ~ you basically have to murder all the heroes in terrible ways.
Hardest Trophy Tip (may contain spoilers): Follow the guide exactly ~ kill off all secondary characters and MAKE SURE Madison dies from suffocation in the killer’s apartment and Norman HAS to die from the conveyor belt. Chase the killer to the roof then fail all the QTEs. If you let the killer cap you at the beginning of the level, it doesn’t work ~ I found that out the hard way.
I first played The Force Unleashed on the PSP and it seemed pretty great then I saw this at the library and I gave it a try. The game itself isn’t as great as the first Force Unleashed ~ this sequel only has 3 boss fights, 3 long, boring battles. The best part of this game is the graphics. The story itself seems…plain. The movie cutscenes are very nice and actually looks like scenes from the actual movies and Yoda is just awesome. Starkiller is OP even on Unleashed, all those poor Stormtroopers jump out of their transports just to be instantly decapitated by me Trophy-wise, these are brutal! Those challenges are so CHALLENGING Some are fun challenging, some are wtfrq-worthy. I would not recommend this game for an easy plat at all, but kinda fun if you’re into Star Wars and want to throw lightsabers around and throw people off buildings with the FORCE!!! and of course, May the Force be with you.
An abridged version of the first 4 Harry Potters that makes the series A LOT less serious. Nonetheless, it’s still a fun game if you enjoy the HP series. There are a few things that killed the fun a bit like your allies bodyblocking you when you jumped across lava and being unable to jump up stairs that are not properly “clicked in.” I must say that dark wizards are so much better than normal ones because they have a killing spell that helps you clear the way when you find yourself running into other students all the time Trophy-wise, the collectibles…my god…Yes you can use the detectors to find stuff, but still there’s just so many of them and students in peril don’t have a detector, so if you follow a guide, make sure NOT to miss any like I did
What better way to show how awesome the Avengers movie (fyi, it’s awesome) was than to play as Captain America. I thought at first this game would follow the Captain America movie, but it actually follows Cap in a totally different adventure, one that doesn’t end with him falling into a giant ice cube . The game itself is pretty fun with Assassin’s Creed style fighting ~ so basically stand still until something tries to hit you, counter him and kill him. Though, it is pretty fun whipping Cap’s shield at everything that moves It has a pretty short storyline and even shorter challenges, though it could be harder if I played on Avenger difficulty. The trophies can be easily described with one word: cakewalk.
I’ve seen this game around, but haven’t really played it until I saw it at the library and I said, “Why not? ”. Since this was made by Bioware, I expected it to be similar to Mass Effect and it is in a way with gameplay mechanics. However, I would rate this lower than Mass Effect since I didn’t like the story as much and the random encounters seem more annoying than fun. The best part of the game would be using a rogue and just making things explode with assassin skills!! Trophy-wise, supplier is annoying…just so annoying. You miss ONE thing and you miss the trophy on that playthrough, but otherwise not too bad, just some other annoying trophies here and there and the rest is cake.
A very graphically beautiful game. Got this off the PS store for free since I recently got PS Plus and hey, I didn’t have much to do today, so I would say this was my fastest platinum to date. The game again is visually stunning! I can confidently say I haven’t seen many other games that are like this. It’s a very quirky and relaxing side-scroller with a unique combat system. Trophy-wise, I would say most of them are half luck based and half skilled based, but overall not too difficult. The Cirque De Zoya was the hardest trophy for me since I didn’t really like how they made the controls for her grapple making it so much harder.
A wonderful sequel to Mass Effect 2 indeed! There has been so much negative response for this game based solely on the ending that people forget the epic-ness of the rest of the game. The story basically picks off from where Mass Effect 2 leaves off with an ALL OUT INVASION!! As the story progresses, the story continues to build to an epic battle at the end with one of the greatest cutscenes I’ve ever seen. I cannot wait for the extended cut that’s coming out this summer and I’ll play it again to see it The visuals are stunning and gives me hope that the future looks like the game!! I would also suggest getting the From Ashes DLC because Javik is awesome and the Prothean Particle Rifle simply melts everything in its way. In terms of trophies, not overly difficult and if you’ve played Mass Effect 2 insanity, this is a lot easier and less frustrating. The 5000 kill trophy seems overwhelming, but 1 playthrough yields around 1500 kills, so assuming you play it once on normal then blast through it on insanity, you’re already half done. Also, the online is very addictive and really run when you get a good team. One more thing!! Garrus gets the best line in the trilogy in this game ~ “I’m Garrus Vakarian and this is my favourite spot on the Citadel!”
Commander Shepard’s Bio (Insanity Playthrough) ~ Warning!!! Contains massive spoilers
My Shepard went full Paragon except for the part where you kill Kai Leng (so satisfying ). I saved Mordin when he was curing the genophage at the cost of losing Eve (I like Mordin better anyways ). I did all the side missions, so I saved Jack, Grunt (got his loyalty in 2), Samara, Zaeed, Kasumi, and Jacob. The only person I lost was Thane (because I talked to him at the hospital). I continued my romance with Miranda from 2, so I also saved her from Kai Leng. And the most critical thing, I got both the Quarians and Geth to work together (touching reunion on Rannoch). In the end, I chose the destroy ending because my Shepard LIVES!!!
I can finally cross this game off my to-do list!! I’ve had this game for a while and beat it on normal on my initial run, then began the trek through insanity… I gave up half way at Horizon because it simply got too frustrating for me, but my parents bought me Mass Effect 3 (cheaply I might add) for my birthday and I felt compelled to finish the game and import a good Shepherd into the third. Somehow, I managed to beat Horizon and rolled through the rest of the game without much difficulty!! This game is still an awesome game and I would recommend picking it up to know the story of Mass Effect. Trophy-wise, I rated it an 8 because insanity can get pretty frustrating especially on Horizon and Reaper IFF. Hence Insanity is the hardest trophy.
I got this initially as a game to casually play with some of my friends since it’s free to download now. But then, it got pretty fun with all the customizable options for options and the variety of weapons and skills to choose from to bring justice to Metropolis with Superman or spread chaos in Gotham with the Joker. As fun as that sounds (which is really ), the reason I rated this game as a 7 is because of all the disconnects and bugs that are still in the game. A really annoying bug was the camera locking in on a collectible after collecting it and basically, you either have to die or map out. Trophy-wise, it’s not brutal at all, but just really grindy. The reason why Warrior of Truth is the hardest trophy is because Amazon allies feel weaker than the others.
I was hesitant to buy this game at first since I never played any of the past Saints Rows and haven’t heard much about it…until I saw this on RoosterTeeth ~ This game is UNBELIEVABLE!!! It’s sort of like GTA, but more cartoony and way over the top (I think that’s what I like about it ). I would say this is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played. Professor Genki Reality Climax is an amazing activity and the DLC for it was pretty worth it! Trophy-wise, the platinum isn’t too difficult ~ I said Hi-Jack It is the most difficult trophy as I’m terrible with driving in the game
My second Motorstorm game ever and it's definitely quite the experience. It is different from any driving game I've played ~ you look at your car from the top down instead of behind it or in it. The controls themselves were pretty easy to learn and the tracks aren't complicated to memorize. Personally, I'm not a big fan of racing games, so some of the challenges were quite hard especially when it got to the end when I was just chipping away my times second by second for the RC Champion trophy. If you're a big fan of racers or want a challenging platinum that requires patience and
multipleA LOT of restarts, this is for you
This is the first time I've played an Uncharted game and it is a pretty good game. The story is interesting and made use of most of the Vita's abilities. BUT don't expect a fast easy platinum!! Crushing mode crushes your spirit in some chapters... I won't say anything, but you'll know when you play it The bounties trophies really depends on where you live. If you live in the city or an area where lots of people play, Near will get use most of the bounties... OTHERWISE expect a long...long grind.
The next chapter in the FFXIII series!!! I was looking forward to this game for awhile and for me, it did not disappoint! This game is a LOT less linear than FFXIII. Trophy-wise, this game isn't hard to plat at all. If you've played FFXIII, then this plat is gonna be extremely easy as long as you got the paradigm system down. If you're new to the series, it has a low learning curve and is not hard to pick up at all. I would say the hardest trophy is Defragmented due to the difficulty of certain fragments..........I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPGs or have played FFXIII.
The final game for the Ezio arc of Assassin's Creed and it it pretty unbelievable! I'm not the biggest fan of the AC series, but I'm really happy I bought this! The single player campaign is pretty cool especially with all the new additions to the game ~ I'm not sure if they had this in Brotherhood, but the bombs are awesome! The multiplayer is a different story, for me anyways. I understand that everyone has their own playstyles, but AC stresses on the stealth factor for a lot of the game; What I'm trying to say is ~ MP is awesome when you get a group of people being stealthy and tactics(?) to kill you rather than the entire lobby sprinting around stabbing and punching randomly ~ Otherwise, all in all a great game! My personal favorite part is one REALLLLLY touching line in the ending, but I won't spoil it
The final game to the MW trilogy... The storyline is pretty interesting as well as one twist I never saw coming XD If you've played all the Mw games so far and enjoyed the storyline, this is a must get. Spec ops returns with its share of raging, trust me, you'll rage A LOT on survival Spec ops missions have always been fun and requires some coordination with your partner!!! Sweetbuzz, wherever you are, you are AWESOME!!
MP is same as the past MWs so if you enjoy the run n gun style of CoDs, you'll enjoy the MP in MW3 ~~ Trophywise, the hardest ones are the spec ops trophies especially survival. Veteran mode is MUCH simpler than the past CoDs but still present a challenge!!
Ahhhh a very well thought out game with twists and turns ~ If you're a fan of GTA style games, this MIGHT be for you lol You can't randomly kill people by ramming your car into them (except in freeplay) and firing your weapon is limited to missions mostly. However, this game makes up for it with an interesting story and an awesome post war LA landscapes and cars O and cool looking trophies
One of my free games from the PS Store and quite worth it I might add!!! It feels like GTA, but with super powers...Just Awesome lol Playing as evil is much MUCH more fun than playing as the hero since you can randomly blow stuff up and blow people up with lightning grenades is Legen...wait for it..............................................................dary.
One of the first games I bought for the PS3, but never got around platting it until I started getting really into trophy hunting!! Like all Burnout games, Takedowns are fun I would recommend this game to players that like blowing up cars, slamming them into walls, and jumping over awesome cliffs!! XD It's even more fun if you get friends to play it~~ Trophy wise, it might be more difficult to plat it now since it has been a while since its release and there's one trophy that requires 8 people working together~~
An over the top, super explosive, super glowy and shiny game which is awesomely fun game to play whenever you feel like blowing stuff up. I really loved the R&C games ever since R&C Going Commando and I've played every R&C since then!! For all of us that are familiar with the game, the Ryno is less than explosive than its brothers in the past, but still awesome nonetheless!!
I’ve always been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series ever since I tried it at my friend’s place when 3 was the newest. This one, however, is probably the best one I’ve played so far since they actually tell the story of the Three Kingdoms and the formation of the Jin Dynasty. My only grief with this game (and probably all the other games in the DW series) is that it gets really really repetitive. The plat wasn’t hard at all, just a lot of grinding and answering questions (500 to be exact).
Loved AC1 and picked it up when Future Shop sold it for $20 (no idea why I didn’t get it earlier). But like the first one, it has solid controls and a great story. The toughest part is probably finding and solving subject 16’s puzzles. I tried playing this at night and for the first time in a looooooong while, I was scared (well creeped out) by a video game. The plat wasn’t too bad and rather quick other than collecting all the feathers.
First CoD game I owned after trying MW(only the online mode; didn’t try campaign until after I played MW2) and loved it. Veteran mode felt like playing grenade dodgeball and shooting at the enemy with a paintball gun, but challenging nonetheless. Nazi zombies was a nice bonus after beating the campaign. Sum of All Zeroes almost made me go insane (planes…going…too fast…gun…to slow…) and some stages on veteran mode made me with the ps3 controllers came with a strap like the wii controllers.
I tried Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness in high school on a rainy afternoon (coincidence XD) and I was instantly hooked lol. It’s like FF Tactics, but add in funny dialogues and 9000 levels. This is one of those games that made me think – I’ll never plat this no matter what… - a few playthroughs and thousands of level ups later…Ding!
I’m a huge FF fan so this game is almost perfect in my opinion. Just a bit too linear until near the end, but other than that, this game was awesome. The paradigm system is a pretty cool new way of fighting and the challenge missions are really challenging (you have to pay attention and switch classes). Looking forward to FF versus 13 and FF13 – 2. Trophy wise, this game takes A LOT of grinding.
Most people will disagree, but I thought this was one of the best FPS I ever played! I thought the campaign mode was made really well (It made me borrow my MW from my friend for a month or two to play through that campaign to know the backstory) and was the only reason I slept (to get more energy to play veteran). Multiplayer is pretty awesome except for a few things that could be changed and Spec Ops is a nice challenge especially Wetwork.
Pretty fun and cute game and I loved it since picking it up. With the metal gear DLC, 2D shooting just got a lot more fun. A problem I have with this game is the lag when I played with my friends (lots of restarts from unnecessary deaths!!) and it just seems more fun when you have people over rather than online. Don’t get me wrong, I think this is a really fun game (refer to first sentence ). The trophies require a lot of boosting if you aren’t the best level creator.
I would give the same review as I did for Dynasty Warriors 7 with the exception of it not having the fourth kingdom available to use. One useful thing I learned is: Conquering an entire country isn’t too difficult! XD Trophies are amazingly simple and it basically requires you to play through the game.
Star Ocean 4 International
Completion Rate: 38%
I've played all of the Star Ocean series starting with SO3 ~ That was a legendary game without question. SO4 is also just as good as its predecessor, but I'm not the biggest fan of prequels so my opinion is a bit skewed to the bad side. The storyline is pretty good along with the creepy music in the dungeons makes the atmosphere amazing!! Battle system is not very complex and can be learned quite easily. Trophies though... they're a nightmare... but for those that love a challenge, this is a pretty nice game!!
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Completion Rate: 94%
The fact that I still didn't plat this fills me with...Anger ...Shame . Those zombie trophies continue to elude me! I love this game, but those zombie trophies are just so frustrating But no after I finish with Ratchet and Clank, I WILL plat this game!!! and hopefully by then they patch it so my In the Money trophy will register
Completion Rate: 30%
Super fun!!!! but frustrating !! ~~ I've gotten some of the hard trophies out of the way like Zone Zeus out of pure luck and hyper intense focus ~~ I've gotten really good at this game over the summer, but ever since school started and SO4 took over a part of my gaming life...*whew* no way I'm getting this plat lol
Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalker
Completion Rate: 38%
Not a hard 100% at all. I've gotten every core trophy except for 100% cards ~~ I've just been too lazy and kinda repetitive to face the same opponents over and over lol Maybe one day I'll finish this, but dunno when

MAG is a solid game and I really do have fun playing it; I just don’t think I can platinum this . I also can’t say that the platinum is hard, it’s just really time consuming, but living away from home during the school year and only playing on weekends complicate things and I just don’t think it will ever happen.
Completion Rate: 41%
This was actually a gift from a friend of mine for my birthday. However, driving games are not my forte XD and this game is supposed to be a real driving simulator!! The graphics are awesome in this game and I’m gonna try to grab all the trophies I can, but the platinum…is out of reach.
Completion Rate: 25%
A really cool game and I’m glad it came with the Move. I really only play it when I have company over or when I bring it over to a friend’s house; otherwise I don’t really play it much. Side note: Gladiator fights are equivalent to going to the gym and lifting weights XD No joke!!
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (US)
Completion Rate: 70%
My friend gave me this game when he bought PES 2011 and I spent most of my time building the most OP team!!! This game, like any sports game, is really fun if you enjoy managing/participating in matches over and over ~~ to be honest, I rather play for real!! XD Trophy-wise, I stopped at 70% as the rest of the trophies are all quite time consuming and since not a lot of people have the US version, I use this time to practice some FPS games XD
