What is there to say that you don't know already? I'm an Aussie gamer, living near the beach. I've been gaming since I was four years old. How old am I now? I'd rather not say. I am in my late teens though.
I've always loved RPGs, starting with the first Final Fantasy's and moving up to Kingdom Hearts and Zenoblade. Then I started getting into WRPGs such as Dragon Age, Fallout, etc. I play a lot of my games on the PC because I can't focus enough on the games that I have, so I constantly need new ones, and I don't have some sort of endless supply of cash to spend $110 on every PS3 game. So I have a massive PC collection, from Dead Space to Minecraft to Dragon Age.
I've also been a Ratchet and Clank fan for quite some time. I played them as a child but forgot about them up until a few years back. Now I'm an even bigger fanboy.
Overall my favorite genres would be RPGs, Shooters and Adventure games. However if possible I'd rather be playing a Japanese game. They always have a unique flavor and taste that's not found in a lot of Western games. For example as good as Uncharted 2 is there's no originality or uniqueness. A game like Vanquish is 100% original, and that's why I have an acquired taste.
So what else about me? I'm currently studying and preparing to enter university. I'm planning to specialize either as a journalist or in IT - such as graphic design or engine programming. I've been building and fixing PCs for ages, and it's something I want to turn into a career.
My taste in games is similar to those in books and movies. I prefer original and unique content - such as Inception. Believe it or not The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is one of my favorite all time books and movies. Looking forward to the English version.
I registered on this site in July 2010 because I wanted some extra info on FF13 and inFamous. Over a year later and I'm a staff member. This is one of the best gaming websites around. There's always something to do and it's a really close community here. It's a shame it's not a tad bigger...but that'll change I hope.

The only reason I even bought the game was because of my friends. I must say that even though I'm not much of a MP gamer on the PS3, I still look forward to playing this game everyday. I couldn't care less about the trophies in it to be honest, and while I'll go for the platinum it's not a major concern, nor should it be.

I've had this on my list for nearly half a year before I raised it above 0%. Now that I have, I really wish that I did it a long time ago. The game is so superior to the first and a complete and utter blast to play. I'm really going to enjoy going for this platinum.

As a long time FF fan, when asked if I was going to buy this game I replied with "Is the Pope a Catholic?"
Sadly if I was asked if the game was as good as FF13, I wouldn't reply in the same way. Don't get me wrong, it's a great RPG and I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but not to the extent that I should be enjoying it. I haven't even finished it yet and I've owned it since launch.
Batman: Arkham City

I picked up Arkham Asylum earlier in 2011, and loved it right from the start. Then when I finished it I instantly looked up the sequel, and was hyped about it ever since. I never thought Arkham City could possibly be as good as it is now. I've never seen a sequel make such a leap.
I'll be getting the platinum soon enough; even though I just know that those 400 riddles and having to re-do all the side missions are going to be very annoying...

I picked this game up a random and loved it. Although I donít care for the other PS3 ones as much, and the PS2 ones feel like a little stiff and sterile in controls and character models, but this highlight of the series is the most emotional, deeper, and least Ďkiddishí to date. The isnít that hard. Itís fairly easy and just takes time. Just be sure to get help for the toughest trophy (see above) or youíll be angry in a hurry. And this means two people, so youíd better have a friend who is willingly to help ya out. Personally I thought this was the best game in the series, with emotional impact, cute new twists, a light hearted story, cute and furry characters and inane weapons. This game unlike the rest is so inviting, so colorful and so polished that itís one of those gaming worlds that youíd rather live in than play.

I picked this game up cheap and loved it at first. The frame rate leaves a lot to be desired, and the lack of variety, comic style and lifeless NPC and worst of all, pathetic character modelings and personalities are off putting to say the least. But the free roaming, gameplay, choices and story make up for it easily. I stuffed up the first playthrough moral wise so I had to do three playthroughs. I hated it in the end but the great side missions, flawless controls and smooth action kept it enjoyable, if a bit dry. The shards were a pain to find, but for me it was easier than some people say. I ticked them all off and I missed one I found it after about 20 minutes. Iíll be buying inFAMOUS 2, but no CE for me. The game is still good and I would recommend it to any action/adventure fan. Also, I made quite a few advice threads on this game for the XP...how to raise thousands of it in minutes. Check the forums in the infamous section for it, created by me. Just look for my name....I canít be bothered to link it now.

Iíve heard people say it was a breeze, Iíve heard people say itís a slut house to plat. In my opinion it was, brutally, brutally hard, and especially for me. Why?
I was about 60 hours in when I realized that I had missed an accessory/weapon that I couldnít get again. Me forgets what it was but I was pissed. I had two options. I could continue on without a hope of the plat or I could start again and not plat it. The decision was made for me when my PS3 broke. Now after about 180 hours later (including my old save) I got the It was especially hard for me because I got every single weapon and accessory in the game after grinding with Mr. Adam for about 120 hours, I sold them all so I could get the money to upgrade the next ones. I went to the robot and found one was missing. I was so scared that I was on it for 8 hours straight that day. I didnít get it. Back to the stingy bastards for Ignots. I came home from school and had a few minutes before going to work. I decided to pop it in and see what I missed and didnít. I missed the Feral Pride. I then got the so unexpectedly that I was in shock. And I was happy as hell too. If I mentioned all the envious/nice people who gave their congrats this list would be over 200 strong, so suffice to say, if you gave me the congrats, you know that youíll be on my mental list. This includes people who told me not to give up. I have to thank the following people for their endless advice, guide writing, PSN messaging and responding to my every request about the game.. I could have not have done it without them, and no matter how easy some people say this game is to plat, it was extremely tough and most of the people at the bottom of my checklist helped me endlessly. Also, the Treasure Hunter was so stupid. You had to hold every single weapon and accessory in this game, and there were hundreds of them. You couldn't buy them, you had to upgrade them; the upgrading system was terrible, and to upgrade them, get them, transform them, etc, you needed to kill these stupid creatures with millions of HP for a 1% drop rate that sold for 10,000Gil. You needed millions and millions of Gil for this trophy. I hate this trophy so much and I will never ever go through it again...ever.

This is without question of my favorite all time games, and of the best games on this generation. I had to resist the urge to end my life in painful ways when watching all the endings. This is a dark and depressing game that is NOT for the faint hearted in anyway what-so-ever. The Perfect Crime was extremely annoying, and Kamikaze was extremely difficult. I had to use the Move controller to get it. It was easier then, but for the rest of the trophies, in terms of skill theyíre a cake walk. But this is still a game that you CAN NOT MISS. And make sure you buy it new, not used. Quantic Dream deserves their game to sell a lot more than it has.

This platinum is overrated both in terms of difficultly and time. The nearly all the combat challenges are easy when you get the hang of it and are fun enough for you to go back to. The stealth ones are harder in my opinion, and took a lot more time. I picked this game up cheap, since Arkham city was coming out and I was interested in it. I really loved this game, despite wearing X-Ray goggles the entire time, the combat was awesome and funny as hell (cracking the thugs' knuckles and twisting their legs) and scaring the crap out of them in the predator arenas were also extremely awesome and I loved it. Also, Mark Hammei makes the best Joker ever. Period. I'd recommend the game to just about anyone.

Got the game back in late 2010 and loved it right from the start. I had no intention whatsoever of getting the platinum at first, but then I became more of a trophy hunter and decided to go for it. It took nearly a year and the items and acing the levels almost caused me to smash my controller. The game isn't hard that; but does rely on patience and on other people for the 50 hearts trophy (which I did without boosting). I'd never go for it again, and it looks like LBP2 is going to be un-plat's for quite some time now.
LittleBigPlanet Platinum Video:
Most Time Consuming Trophy: Tactical Challenger
Hardest Trophy: Tactical Challenger
Favorite Trophy Tactical Challenger
This is a fantastic game Ė unquestionably one of my favorite on the PS3 Ė and one of the most innovative shooters around. It doesnít get as much attention as it should. Itís a shame it didnít end up being a bigger success, especially as itís so action-packed and ridiculously fun. Hard mode is pretty much the same as Uncharted 2ís Crushing, so whilst youíve have some trouble, itís nothing to worry about. This is a game you should make sure you pick up at once, but not if you want anything less than a brutal platinum. Iíll explain why.
Iíll put it this way:
Getting to 91% with everything but the hidden trophy is easy. Earning the hidden trophy is EXTREMELY difficult. Itís the Tactical Challenger trophy. There are 6 Challenges you have to complete for the trophy. Challenge 1 was little hard, Challenge 2 was easy, Challenge 3 was a cake-walk, Challenge 4 was pretty hard, and Challenge 5 was a breeze. But none of them even give you a glance at whatís to come. Yep. The infamous Challenge 6. Thereís almost no way to describe how insanely hard this challenge is. Itís designed to tie you up and drag you through the dirt. A shocking amount of people have given up on this challenge. To each Challenge there are 5 rounds. You have to pretty much destroy everything. In Challenge 6 the rounds just get tougher and tougher. Round 1 and 2 require quite a bit of skill to survive, and will push your patience, with a boss in each round and a lot of smaller, less tough enemies. Round 3 contains a lot of larger enemies, each of them very capable of sending you to the ďMission FailedĒ screen on their own. Thereís a way around them Ė thank goodness Ė or it would be extremely difficult otherwise. Iíve only passed that round without using the exploit once or twice. Round 4 requires perfect timing and unless you get to the exact place on the map that you have to, youíre gone. Once you clear the smaller enemies, you have to kill to big scorpions, who can keep up with your maximum boost speed. Then once youíve slaughtered and crawled your way through the first 4 rounds, youíre on Round 5 Ė the final and so-called impossible round. You have to kill two bogeys and a few rolling ball enemies. Thereís almost no way I can even begin to say how brutal this round is. One microscopic fraction of a miscalculation and you die. You use the wrong weapon, donít react fast enough, donít get to cover in time, or anything at all, and youíre sent all the way back to the start. I couldnít believe I beat this challenge.
Then again practice makes perfect and if youíre willing to learn the spawn points, weapon locations, boss types, and just about every single other detail about the challenge plus a mountain of skill and youíll get it. None of the other trophies really gave me any trouble. Finding the 112 statues is easy with a guide and can be done within a single day. Tactical Challenger is all that matters within this game, and is one of the hardest trophies around. Itís easily 10/10 on the scale alone, and is the only reason why this platinum is one of the hardest and rarest out there. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of omnislash (formerly known as Gamer1022). He posted novels of written text and linked me with plenty of videos that all helped me out in the end. He is possibly one of the only reasons why I have this platinum, and every single time I see it my collection I think of him and his help. Once again, thank you.

I got this game pretty late to the party, and I throughly enjoyed it the first time around. Then afterwards I didn't really feel like doing multiple playthroughs on top of finding 100 treasures (that I found without a guide). So that kinda killed the game for me. I didn't really enjoy going for the platinum. Crushing difficulty is nowhere as difficult as people make it out to be. I didn't die once throughout Crushing and I didn't use the cheats either. The treasures were a pain, though. That alone killed the game for me. I'll be getting Uncharted 3 soon, but not right now as I'm way too busy with other games to focus on that.

I really don't think I've ever had as many mixed feeling about any of my platinums. I loved this game right from the start, the horror element, scare factor and gameplay. It might just be my favorite game on the PS3, and I would recommend the game itself to anyway who can stomach it. The trophies are in a completely different world. Every single trophy is easy except one: Hard to the Core
Why may you ask? There are no checkpoints. You only get 3 saves. You die and you go back to your last save, and if there is none it's back to the very start of the game for you. I've died at least 10 times and I got so sick of watching the endless cut-scenes and going through the exact same levels and stages over and over again. I beat Hardcore mode with an unbelievable amount of stress, a lot of it is all psychological. You're wondering down a dark hallway with noises coming from every direction with one or two shots left. Your rig is red and you haven't saved. The next time you get hurt you lose hours and hours of progress. Get the picture?
If you are crazy enough to try it, I'll give you a few hints.
I saved at 5 right before the freezer. At 9 when you meet with Ellie in the train room. And at 13 after you send Ellie off the gunship. My main weapons were the Plasma Cutter, Contact Beam, Force Gun and Ripper. You will need to trade and sell some of your weapons are different sections, so be wary of that.

As a massive TES fan, this game was an instant buy for me the very second it was announced. However, just how good it was never occured to me until I actually played it. The freedom to do whatever you want, the endless amount of quests to perform, the dialogue, atsomphere, cites, villages, spells, skills, etc, will just keep you coming back for more and more. It's a game unlike any other, and it doesn't matter if you're an RPG freak or not, this game needs to be played.
I had to do two playthroughs for the platinum because I screwed up the Oblivion Walker trophy, but I enjoyed it regardless. I loved the Dark Brotherhood quests espeically, and I continue to still play this game even now.

I was drawn to this game because I'd only heard good things about it. The hybrid of FPS and RPG elements got me hooked, and I bought the game. I have to say that at first I didn't like it much, but that changed very quickly once I got deeper and deeper into the story, which happens to be incredible, by the way. The game plays it's role perfectly, and gives you what you could want from it. Sadly, the game is too short and for a game of this quality it had the potential to be twice as big with twice the side quests. Still, it's a great game.
The trophies were a pain. Half of them are missable, and some are extremely missable. Like not killing a single person throughout the entire game in any form or not setting off a single alarm. You can play through the entire game with one tiny slip up that wasn't even your fault, and you won't get the trophy. I had to do three playthroughs for the plat, but it was worth it, because now I have a new shiny platinum standing at number 11.

I bought the game on launch, and for the first 6 months it was awesome, but I haven't touched it since April and I'm not sure I will again in a hurry. The servers and online levels have a lot to do with it, since so many levels have tons of gadgets and gizmos that whilst are great are too complex and the tiny faulter can make the level crap, and there are many of those...
Resonance of Fate

As an avid RPG fan this game caught my attention, especially as it was a JRPG and unique. I bought it cheaply, and whilst it's got an extremely steep learning curve and difficult battle system the rest of the game is dull and not worth the time and effort. The gameplay is the most innovative I've seen in an RPG, but the game's grown stale for me now. I'll get back to it soon I hope...

I got the game with the Welcome Back package. It's a game that I seriously don't know what to think of yet. It's in co-op and is a blast when you survive with a buddy, but the game itself is pretty average, with stupid trophies. It's alright I guess, but not a game I'm in a hurry to any time soon.

I bought the game when I was still into racing games, and that has long past. The game is finicky and has terrible controls. Sure, the world may be somewhat fun to explore and the online is enjoyable but the mundane events, missions and highways grate after a while. Not to mention the awful soundtrack....
Battlefield Bad Company 2

I'm not really into FPS much but I saw this cheap and decided to give it a go. I've barely started it so I can't comment on the game and haven't even touched the online, but it's coming along smoothly..

In my opinion this game is extremely overrated. It's got an incredible co-op story and brilliant puzzles, but it's surprisingly short and there's no reason to go back to it afterwards. I was going for the co-op trophies at some point but now I just can't be bothered finding a good boosting partner and getting up a match. Maybe I'll pop it back in some day. If anyone wants to boost with me and get the trophies out of the way hit me up and we'll get that together.

I rented it from a friend. It's an enjoyable game on the first spin, but the second one or second replay of a case (which you'll need to do plentyh of) will leave you in tears. Another Heavy rain-like platinum. But still worth taking a look at, but I wouldn't say buy it.
35 of 69 Trophies
My younger brother bought the game and I had a few spins on it. It's quite decent, but I liked Skate 2 better, but I sold that when my first PS3 broke and I lost all my progress on that one, and I'm not in a hurry to buy it again and start over, especially now that I own the sequel. I hated the controls and the camera angles, so I'm not in a hurry to play the sports game again. I wish I could remove it from my trophy list to be honest....

I got the game free with my PS3 and I only ever played it when I had friends or family over. Then I ran into a multitude of glitches that really irritated me and forced me to eventually buy a new PS3. Even now the glitches still occur. There's basically no point doing it in single player so I've counted that out, and since my friends aren't exactly interested in playing it either the game's still sitting on the shelf not being played...

I rented the game so I could get the Dedication trophy earlier, as I'm not going to wait 6 whole months from the time when I finally decide to buy it. I wanted to buy it when it came out but I didn't have the time nor money, and it slipped under my radar. Now that I've played it, I can say that it's an awesome game. I'll buy it and platinum it someday.

Almost from the very moment I saw the game I knew that it was going to be trouble. Still, I kept my hopes high and reasoned with myself that it would be a good game, that it would be a game worthy of the franchise. Wrong.
Just about everything in this game is rubbish and completely devoid of anything that made the past Ratchet games good. I seriously don't even consider this game a real R&C game. I wasted all my money on this pile of complete and utter shite.

Bought it pretty cheaply..and then traded it in. Still, I did see it for $9 in the store, so I guess I'll pick it up again. It's not a bad game, but not great. The online wasn't bad, so this platinum isn't out of reach...for now.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

I'd imagined that after a vast majority of complaints about the first game that the second would step it's game up. Sadly, the opposite happened, it went backwards in a lot of ways. It's okay for a few hours of hack'n'slash action, but for a Star Wars game the most it can offer you is a story about finding your girlfriend, and 4 hours of corridor brainless action. I may buy it back for to add an another one to the shelf, but that's very unlikely.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I was going to buy this straight away, but with all the constant focus on Batman, Skyrim and other games I forgot about it. My friend brought it over, and thus far it's better than the last game, and I'm going to buy it as soon as I clean up a few more of my games. I'd recommend it to a lot of people, and it has split-screen co-op, which is more than you can say for the last two games...

Picked it up pretty cheaply. I wish that I could sell it...it really isn't worth keeping, but I enjoy collecting games so I suppose that it's here to stay. I didn't have high hopes for this game from the very start...and for good reason. It's clunky, hard to handle and a complete mess of a game. It's more like a minigame with three characters randomly thrown in to get a bit of story going. Sure if you see it for a few bucks get it, but otherwise don't bother.
I traded it for A4O...which wasn't really a better choice.

It's a great game, a flawed gem. I remember playing it on the PS2 years ago. I bought the PS3 HD Collection and discovered that it really wasn't as good as people made it out to be, and as well as I remembered it. Not to mention that the game requires SEVEN playtrhoughs for the platinum. I could barely get half-way let online play through it 7 times and in time attack. It's a flawed gem, but not a gem for me.

I was pretty excited for the game when it came out. I even went to the midnight launch. Now I find it boring, clunky and just a real pain to play. I'm not going to waste my time playing a game that I dislike. Gaming ain't meant to be a chore. And even then GT5 is probably 2nd to NGS2 in terms of difficultly. So back to the shelf for you, GT5. I got this as a gift with the Move. It's actually not a bad game...it has it's ups and downs and it's good with more than one person but honestly it's not really something to write home about. If you have a Move get it. If you don't, don't even bother. I probably won't ever plat it...ever.
