ThanksI'm actually not sure if I will end up playing 3D Dot which is a shame. Hotline Miami is amazing though. I pretty much have the plat, I just need to clean up a couple of easy things.
I've been great John, just a little busy is allHahaha I can't stop playing it. Hotline is so addicting. I've gotten an A+ on every chapter so I mostly just have some time consuming trophies to finish up and then I'm done

Total Awards: 15Update: Hotline Miami Platinum!
I think I left some pretty good thoughts about the game and indie games if anybody actually reads it. I also updated my latest stats. I reached my goal of getting 5 Vita plats this year!! The list includes Gravity Rush, Zero Escape, Guacamelee, Sound Shapes and now Hotline Miami. I'm working on Final Fantasy Xlll-2 right now and should have the game beat by tonight! Happy gaming everybody

Toggle Spoiler I've been playing my fair share of indie games lately. Haha what does that even mean any more. I've enjoyed games like Gone Home, Guacamelee and Dokura throughout this year almost as much if not more than the big AAA games. The most pertinent being Gone Home. This masterpiece from The Fullbright Company has changed my thoughts on games, developers and even the meaning of life and love. That's the advantage of inde games. They can be the game that the developer's wanted them to be and nothing else. Fullbright wanted to touch me with Gone Home and that is exactly what they did. My point is that even though indie games aren't technically as impressive as the behemoths out there they can still bring out some of the best attributes of games. Hotline Miami does this in spades.
Sexy, violent and insane are probably the three best games to describe Hotline Miami. You play man with no name who is mysteriously getting phone calls telling him to go to a certain address where he kills people. After awhile it starts to become easy to accept the death of others. It makes you wonder if what is happening is actually happening at all. This leads to a batshit crazy story (which i love more than anything) that makes you want even more at the end. Of course though, Hotline Miami isn't about the story. HM is all about the gameplay. This game is fast, strategic and fun as all hell. i can;t remember the last time i had died so many times in a game and didn't mind just because the game is so much damn fun. Basically anything you find on the ground can be used as a weapon. Weapons include baseball bats, golf clubs, cans, machine guns, pool sticks, etc. Weapons can be hit or thrown to take down enemies. Killing enemies is very satisfying mostly in part to the large amount of gore which works great in this game. The level design is so smart, almost like every level is a puzzle. Trying to string a combo through a whole floor is challenging, but extremely rewarding. Different masks can also be unlocked that give an advantage or disadvantage. The best part is, you can wear any mask on any level which leads to a huge amount of replay-ability. The soundtrack also kicks ass incase you were wondering. My only complaint about the game are the boss fights (seems to be a trend in games lately). They were way too easy and I wish that they could have been crazy like the story. Hotline Miami is yet another fantastic indie game that I have had the pleasure to experience this year. Go let your inner psychopath out.
It is kind of hard to tell if the trophies were hard or easy. I restarted a half a million times to get all A+s, but I never really got frustrated to be honest. Mostly thanks to the fast respawn. I'd say that the only trophy that was annoying was hitting and killing three enemies with one brick. This was a pain since the enemies never wanted to line up right.

Total Awards: 15Congrats on the Hotline Miami plat mate, very well done. I have to completely agree with your review, which was a great read btw. Which chapter did you struggle on the most to A+? It took me ages to do chapter 10 but like you said, dying loads of times didn't seem to matter at all, awesome game. And congrats on reaching your goals too, all the best

Total Awards: 15Thanks it was a fun one
I've really enjoyed writing about my opinions lately so I want to keep the upcoming plats the same way in terms of writing style. Ummm whichever chapter where you were in the police building. I think it may have been 13, that one drove me crazy, but yeah 10 was really tough too. Thanks again!
Thanks FeralYou da man
