    Icebrand1270's NEW humble trophy checklist.

    Awesome banner by Athena

    About Me
My name is Andreas, better known on PSN as Icebrand1270. I'm a 33-year-old male from Staten Island, New York. I'm your average guy who just happens to work with a great independent (minor-league) wrestling promotion in New York/New Jersey called ECPW (East Coast Pro Wrestling) as a ring announcer and commissioner. I love meeting fans at live events, working with legends of the business who are still touring and living a dream come true.
Despite my successes in that particular field, I have struggled with various illnesses of both body and mind over the years, most notably the metal radial head replacement and plate in my right arm, after which I somehow recovered almost completely and even taught myself how to write all over again. I have also suffered from varying "illnesses of the mind" since my childhood that I have managed successfully for many years now with help from family and professionals alike. I live with family to this day and we have learned to care for one another beyond even our expectations.

    About My Gaming
I started gaming with the NES in 1989 (although my father tells a story of me playing Freeway on his Atari 2600 when I was just a baby) and I've been with PS3 since May of 2008. I've loved RPGs since my childhood, having beaten legendary RPGs such as Chrono Trigger in my time. My love for RPG-style grinding makes getting grinding and collectible trophies easier for me than most gamers. To me, "Get to Level 50" is a challenge rather than a steep mountain.
As a trophy hunter, I like to experiment with different games and genres; as a result, I have played over 175 games with a "Full Platinum List" and over 200 PSN titles in my trophy-hunting career. I usually rent through Gamefly as I bounce from game to game and get fickle and even restless at times. I only go for Platinum on games that I enjoy and what I enjoy is usually not what critics or other gamers enjoy. (There are exceptions, of course.) I believe every trophy and collection has a story to tell and that my collection is a small yet fun expression of self through gaming.
    Welcome and let us begin!

    BROWSING MUSIC

This is one of my favorite pieces of video game music, "Purification of the City" from the game Flower. One of the most beautiful games of all time, I will never forget how this game helped my spirit heal from a near-death artery rupture in 2010.

    Icebrand1270's Personal Laws of Gaming
    1. Enjoy both the game AND the hunt, win or lose.
    2. Platinum what you love so you will love your Platinum collection.
    3. Never let anyone but you dictate your tastes in gaming.
    4. Critics are not gods, they are devious humans. Never trust what they say!
    5. Variety is the key to enjoying your gaming experience.
Note: These are my personal laws of gaming. Yours may
    (and probably will) vary.

    Trophy Goals
I normally don't make trophy goals because I prefer to have fun with the whole hobby of trophy hunting. Still, there are some things that I would like to change come 2013, including:
    1. Finally score Platinum on InFamous and Dragon Age Origins.
4 Away from Dragon Age Origins.
    7 Away from InFamous.
    2. "Finish the Job" more often on my games.
    2012: Platinum: 24 for 163 (14.72%)
    Non-Platinum: 33 for 193 (17.10%)
    2013: Platinum: 28 for 193 (14.51%)
    Non-Platinum: 37 for 212 (17.54%)
    3. Enjoy the ride!
    2012: 8/10.
    2013: 8/10.

    The Tale So Far
    Platinum: 28
    Gold: 268
    Silver: 1,025
    Bronze: 3,930
    Total: 5,251
    Level: 24/85%
    Points: 118,830

    The Platinums
Guide: All Platinums are broken into three parts:
    1. Enjoyment. This includes total time to Platinum (real time, not hours played), enjoyment rating, first and last trophies, and personal opinions about the game.
    2. Trophy Difficulty. This includes easiest and hardest trophies, difficulty rating and thoughts about game/trophy difficulty.
    3. Favorite Trophies. My favorite trophies from each game and why.
Note: All Enjoyment and Trophy Difficulty ratings are personal opinion only. Your experience may (and probably will) vary.

    1. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania
    Platinum
    3/26/2009
Total Time to Platinum: 1 day, 23 hours.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: Chain Struggle.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Medal Collector.
You want proof the universe has a sense of humor? How about the indy wrestling announcer getting Platinum #1 on a WWE game! This game is short and well-known for being an easy Platinum, but for me it was a great trip down Memory Lane as the matches of Wrestlemania Tour mode reminded me of why I wanted to be a wrestling announcer in the first place. What a nostalgic thrill and a fitting way to kick off my Platinum career.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10
    Easiest Trophy: Created A Legend.
    Hardest Trophy: Medal Collector.
Not a hard game but controls are the "you get them or you don't" type. If you don't, move on. If you do, cruise to Platinum. The only thing that impeded my progress were a couple of Wrestlemania Tour matches (Austin/Hart and Austin/Rock) that were tricky to "Relive".
Favorite Trophies: Memory Serves Me Well & Wrestlemania Tour.
I'm known for having good memory skills and reliving a bunch of great matches is why I did this game. Need I say more?

    2. The Godfather II
    Platinum Trophy
    6/22/2009
Total Time to Platinum: 2 months, 2 weeks, 1 day.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: MobFace.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: It's Only Business.
This is one of the easiest open-world sandbox games to Platinum, which was good for me as I'm usually not good at them. I enjoyed the game more than I expected. Still, it took me longer than most people to finish the Platinum job.
    Trophy Difficulty: 6/10.
    Easiest Trophy: MobFace.
    Hardest Trophy: Executions In Style
This one was tougher for me than most people because I usually forget where things are in sandbox games. (Did I just drive by my safehouse? AGAIN?) Lucky for me, the maps are very condensed, making it easy to find stuff (and get into a lot of action quickly). Executions in Style requires you to execute mobsters in over 50 ways, forcing you to get creative quickly (and some melee weapons are well-hidden, adding to the difficulty).
Favorite Trophies: Accept This As A Gift & Organized Crime.
My favorite part of the game was the crime ring and favor bonuses. They helped me through some rough spots early on.

    3. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
    Platinum Award
    10/18/2009
Total Time to Platinum: 3 weeks, 2 days.
    Enjoyment: 8/10.
    First Trophy: Mission Accomplished.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Immortal Heroics.

This is one of many instances where I'm glad I don't listen to elitist critics who think they represent gamers when they represent only themselves. The nicest thing reviewers said about this game was "not original" but remove the curtain of critic hate and you will see a fun beat-em-up with a great plot based on the "Marvel Civil War" storyline and an all-star cast of Marvel heroes and villians. Expect a fun time, especially if one of your childhood favorites is on the roster.
    Trophy Difficulty: 8/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Mission Accomplished.
Hardest Trophies: Sim Champion & Immortal Heroics.
I surprised myself by how easily I figured this game out. Still, Legendary Difficulty is BRUTAL! Mastering Sim Missions and getting 200 Boost Medals is no joke either.
    Favorite Trophy: Old Friends.
I may not know everything about Marvel relationships but I knew enough to enjoy this trophy (and enjoy it early).

    4. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2010
    PLATINUM
    11/6/2009
Total Time to Platinum: 2 weeks, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 8/10.
    First Trophy: A Grappling Machine.
Trophies That Earned Platinum: Nothing More To Collect & Created Superstar Story.

This game was a vast improvement over previous WWE games and an all-around fun time. It's also the game that started Story Designer, one of the greatest, craziest and most popular modes of any game, anywhere.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: New Superstar Initiative.
    Hardest Trophy: Developmental Graduate.
Aside from Developmental Graduate (completing a very long Training Checklist), this one is easy for any WWE fan.
Favorite Trophies: Mickie James Story & Created Superstar Story.
Two of my complaints about previous Road to Wrestlemania stories were fixed here: a Diva story and a created character story.

    5. Trine
    Way Out of the Trine
    12/28/2009
Total Time to Platinum: 1 month, 3 weeks, 6 days.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: Academy Master.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: What's Next?

This game is the very definition of "simple elegance". It's a funny, enchanting PSN 2D platformer with new and familiar elements mixed together to create an underrated gem. It's fun and challenging and I highly recommend this.
    Trophy Difficulty: 6/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Astral Introduction.
    Hardest Trophy: Better Than Developers!
Earning Platinum means finding hidden experience vials, beating the final stage on Very Hard without dying, finding all hidden treasures and an assortment of "odd deeds". This is no walk in the park.
Favorite Trophies: Footskull Fan & The Cool Way.
These trophies showcase unusual, creative and fun ways to kill your foes.

    6. Hasbro Family Game Night
    Games Master
    1/17/2010
Total Time to Platinum: 2 weeks, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 6/10.
    First Trophy: Grid Lock.
Trophies That Earned Platinum: Connect 4 Master & Full House.

This game allowed me to relive two of my favorite board games, Battleship and Connect 4, and was a lot of fun. It's best played with family and friends who are young or young at heart. Most shy away due to the price tag ($40 for a PSN title) but if you are a fan of classic board games, give this a try.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Changing Rooms.
    Hardest Trophy: Get Connected.
Most of the trophies are easily done with the "two-controller trick". Get Connected requires you to play only one match online but it's on one of the worst servers known to humankind. (AARRGGHH!)
    Favorite Trophy: Grid Lock.
I can't remember if I ever had a Connect 4 tie like that in my youth but it was fun to pull off all the same.

    7. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection
    Platinuminary
    9/1/2010
Total Time to Platinum: 1 year, 6 months, 3 weeks.
    Enjoyment: 6/10.
    First Trophy: Garden Gnomes.
    Trophy That Earned Platinum: Yatta!
This was a game I played when it came out in February of 2009 when I was just starting to get interested in trophies; in fact, it was my second trophy-enabled game. A collection of great Sega games from their most successful era, I was only two trophies away from Platinum (Can You Dig It? and Yatta!) when I gave it up in March of 2009 and was "the one that got away" for a long time. I came back to this twice after that and on September 1, 2010, I finally got the last two trophies and ended a 7 month Platinum drought.
A humble and wholehearted thank you to all who posted tips and guides for this on this site.
I couldn't have done it without you.
    Trophy Difficulty: 4/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Critique.
    Hardest Trophy: Yatta!
Almost everything here is easy. You'll need two controllers to get all the bonuses unlocked. Yatta! gives everyone but a puzzle battle game master nightmares for eternity.
    Favorite Trophy: No Life.
Sega developers talking about the "good old days" when they competed with Nintendo. Good memories, even for someone who had an SNES in those days.

    8. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011
    PLATINUM
    12/23/2010
Total Time to Platinum: 1 month, 4 weeks.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: THQ Storyteller.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Streak Breaker.

This game has a tougher trophy list than other WWE games but is still a fun time. I didn't like WWE Universe as much as I thought I would but many other improvements (such as branching paths in Story Designer) were top-notch.
    Trophy Difficulty: 4/10.
    Easiest Trophy: The Magic Number.
Hardest Trophy: Man of 1,004 Holds.
The trophy difficulty spiked up dramatically from 2010. I did a 4-hour marathon of beating up Santino with Stone Cold to get Man of 1,004 Holds (sorry, Santino). I was lucky enough to win a Royal Rumble online on the first try. The WWE Universe trophies are tricky but the rest is easy.
    Favorite Trophy: Streak Breaker.
Nothing like ending Undertaker's Wrestlemania Win Streak to have a good time. Not to mention it's a great tale as well.

    9. Hasbro Family Game Night 3
    Game Night God
    1/7/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 3 days, 1 hour.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: People Person.
    Trophy That Earned Platinum: Acheesement.

Once again, I got to relive two of my favorite board games: legendary games Clue (my all-time favorite board game) and The Game of Life. Like the original, it's best played with family and friends.
    Trophy Difficulty: 2/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Elementary.
    Hardest Trophy: Combo King.
Combo King (6 combos in Yahtzee Hands Down) is THE tough one. Everything else is smooth sailing.
    Favorite Trophy: Scotland Yard's Finest.
I'm a Clue fan. Enough said.

    10. WWE All Stars
    All trophies awarded
    4/12/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 2 weeks.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: Chain Gang.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Main Eventer.

This is an extremely fun and creative take on the ever-popular "Past vs Present" debate in wrestling. It's also filled with wild, over-the-top action that's deeper than it looks and an outstanding Fantasy Warfare mode. The trophies send you online as well, scaring many but exciting me as I got to beat up many Hogan and Cena fanboys. Oh yeah!
    Trophy Difficulty: 4/10.
Easiest Trophy: The Next WWE Superstar.
    Hardest Trophy: Bookaya Booyaka!
This is a game I was good at online, so I didn't fear the online trophies as much as most people (although using Sheamus as aggressively as I did online didn't make me very popular). Beating Andre The Giant and Big Show as Rey Mysterio (Booyaka Booyaka!) is tough but fun once you know how. Winner By Default (winning online by disqualification) is nearly impossible without boosting.
Favorite Trophies: Old School & Legend Killer.
Fantasy Warfare brought me to this game and it did not disappoint. "Dream matches" like Hogan/Cena, Savage/Morrison and Austin/Punk combined with "dream rematches" like Michaels/Undertaker and outstanding video packages that drew you in made this special. (Austin/Punk is done exceptionally well, as if they were trash-talking each other in the ring).

    11. TV Superstars
    True TV Superstar!
    5/10/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 1 week, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
    First Trophy: A New Start.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Big Beat Kitchen: Maximum Meatballs.

What's a man to do during the PSN outage in a neighborhood full of fans of the competition, all heckling at me? Get some used Move controllers and this underrated gem! Who would have guessed that I would end up writng the trophy guide for this?
This is the goofiest, wackiest and silliest game I've ever gotten a Platinum for (Example: Cooking with a rap chef named Big Chilli Dog!). It's great for families, parties and people who want to relax and not take themselves too seriously.
Check out my TV Superstars Trophy Guide as well, eyeryone!
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: A New Start.
Hardest Trophy: DIY RAW: DIY Dynamo!
DIY RAW (home remodeling) and the STAA (filming commercials) are the tough parts of the game due to high scores needed to pass. You need two Move controllers (team play) and the Eye's voice recording function on (you'll be rapping and catchphrasing). It's not hard once you get used to swinging a Move controller.
Favorite Trophy: Big Beat Kitchen: Rapalicious.
Getting to rap with Big Chilli Dog was a hilarious good time and very fitting with the party nature of this game.

    12. L.A. Noire
    Platinum Trophy
    8/13/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 2 months, 3 weeks, 6 days.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: Police Academy.
Trophies That Earned Platinum: Moth To A Flame & The City Of The Angels.

It's rare that an "innovative" game is actually good and even rarer that a game with as much hype as this one actually lives up to expectations. L.A. Noire did all that and more. It's a unique open-world sandbox game that combines investigation, interrogation, exploration and combat and sets new standards in presentation and storytelling. It will be on "greatest games" lists for a long time and is the highest-quality game I have ever gotten the Platinum for.
    Trophy Difficulty: 6/10.
Easiest Trophy: One For The File.
Hardest Trophies: Auto Fanatic, Hollywoodland & Shamus To The Stars.
If you like a good tale, get this. If you hate collectibles (there is a ton of them) or tons of dialogue or are looking for a Grand Theft Auto clone, pass. The shooting parts are easy, the investigation, interogation and hunting for collectibles is what will make or break you.
    Favorite Trophy: Star Map.
The "sightseeing" collectibles are the easiest of the bunch, not to mention beautifully recreated. Just because I'm a New Yorker doesn't mean I can't enjoy Los Angeles landmarks, right?

    13. Dragon Age II
    The Ultimate Reward
    9/18/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 6 months, 1 week, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
First Trophy: Tale Within A Tale.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Mage Hunter.

This is my favorite Platinum so far and is my first Platinum from an RPG! It has great characters, an awesome story and intense action. Unfortunately, it also gets caught in an intense debate over whether the first one or this one was better since Bioware changed so many things between them. Here's hoping the third one ends the debate by blowing both of them sky-high! Be warned, this game may become a big part of the "good gaming memories" section of your brain for a long time, despite what the critics or haters might say.
    Trophy Difficulty: 5/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Darkness Falls.
    Hardest Trophy: Unstoppable.
This list is fairly challenging, mostly due to collectibles, and some optional bosses such as the high dragon will also prove to be challenging as well. The greatest challenge may be on your conscience if you can't stand working with certain factions (Templars for me).
    Favorite Trophies: Flirtatious & Romantic.
Getting a complete romance with Isabela COMPLETELY ROCKED! Why do I love this sexy female pirate so much? First, look at her! (She's on the banner Athena made for me, in case you're wondering.) Second, I swap bad jokes and even worse pickup lines with her and I still get the girl? Go me!

    14. X-Men Destiny
    Homo Superior
    10/4/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 3 days, 11 hours.
    Enjoyment: 8/10.
    First Trophy: Destiny Begins.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Omega Level Mutant.

This is another game that critics hate and I love. (Big surprise, right?) It's a beat-em-up that's easy to pick up and play but very addictive at the same time. It's a little short but the powers you select and the choices you make ensure that you will play as Aimi, Adrian or Grant multiple times to earn Platinum. It's one of the most fun Platinums I have in my collection.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Destiny Begins.
    Hardest Trophy: Omega Level Mutant.
Not a hard game, you just need the willingness to grind a few playthroughs at varying difficulties and alignments (Cyclops/Magneto) with the same character. It's short and I almost wish the trophies had forced me to pick every character and power at least once.
Favorite Trophy: Better Than The Best.
Challenging Wolverine to an impromptu "I can take out more enemies than you" challenge? Cool! Winning the challenge? AWESOME!

    15. WWE '12
    Platinum
    12/6/2011
Total Time to Platinum: 5 days, 7 hours.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
First Trophy: The Art of Submission.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Finished HERO Episode!!!

Improved graphics, improved physics, improved Road to Wrestlemania and WWE Universe, improved Creations, improved EVERYTHING! This game truly lives up to the name of Bigger, Badder, Better. Oh yeah!
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Arena Designer.
    Hardest Trophy: Finished HERO Episode!!!
Easier than 2011, I was grateful that Exhibition and WWE Universe were now seperate entities. Road to Wrestlemania is longer this time and the constant twists and turns excited me but angered many. Like other WWE games, many trophies are for trying out new features or improvements. You've Got Fans may require a few helpful friends if your creativity is not great (your stuff must be downloaded 5 times by other people).
Favorite Trophy: Look! Look at my Titantron!
The new Custom Entrance Videos took a few minutes to set up but were fun to see in action.

    16. Trine 2
    Trine 2 hard
    1/15/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 1 day, 5 hours.
    Enjoyment: 6/10.
First Trophy: A Hail of Arrows.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: A Floral Feast.
I remember the anticipation for the release of Trine 2. Having loved the first Trine, I was shocked and a little saddened by how easy the trophy list was for the sequel. This may be the only game in PS3 history where the Platinum can be earned halfway through the game. Still, Trine 2 is beautiful, simple and fun, just like the first one.
    Trophy Difficulty: 1/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Bouncy Bouncy.
    Hardest Trophy: Flying Solo.
A very easy list that is all "odd deeds". Flying Solo is tricky until you learn how to do it correctly. Get ready for the fastest Platinum you will ever see!
Favorite Trophies: Dirty Tactics & I Didn't Do It.
Killing enemies by environmental hazards and other enemies' mistakes (goblins are not too bright here) is hilarious.

    17. Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken
    Platinum Trophy
    2/10/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 3 weeks, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: For What Reason?
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Bird Brained.

I enjoyed this Rambo spoof more than I could possibly imagine. It's a fun, underrated 2D old-school platformer with plenty of shooting, blood and "brainbugging". The co-op can be tough to do via the "two-controller trick" as there is no online co-op option but it is still a fun time.
    Trophy Difficulty: 6/10.
    Easiest Trophy: For What Reason?
Hardest Trophies: Revolutionary Fighter & Dirty Half-Dozen
Finding the hidden signs and "two-controller tricking" the co-op mode will be what makes you pull your hair out. The rest is relatively straightforward.
    Favorite Trophy: Flight Instructor.
Nothing like the old "shoot-and-juggle" trick.

    18. Hasbro Family Game Night 4
Family Game Night 4: The Game Show Platinum Trophy
    3/5/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 2 days, 4 hours.
    Enjoyment: 8/10.
    First Trophies: Sorry! & Snack-Time
    Trophy That Earned Platinum: Super-Star!
This is a fun take on the popular Hasbro Family Game Night game show. It's short but very enjoyable, especially with family. An all-around goofy, fun time with big games like Yahtzee Bowling and Sorry Sliders with giant pieces that will keep board game fans laughing for hours.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
Easiest Trophy: A Star Is Born.
    Hardest Trophies: 2 the Max & Whack-o-matic.
Everything is easy except doing 30 straight on Extreme Bop-It via "two-controller trick" (the computer sucks at Bop-It). Boy, was my broken right arm sore after that one.
Favorite Trophy: A Star Is Born.
Where the long road began. It was a preview of things to come.

    19. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus
    True Thevius Racoonus
    3/11/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 2 days, 14 hours.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
    First Trophy: Sucker Punched!
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Greedy Racoon.

I never dreamed I'd have 2 Platinums in 1 month but that's exactly what happened when I got this gem of a PS2 HD Remake as my free Playstation Plus item for March of 2012. Sly Cooper is well-known as an easy Platinum but is extremely fun at the same time. Sly, Bentley, Murray and Carmelita are all fun characters as well.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Sucker Punched!
Hardest Trophy: Oh No He Didn't.
I'm usually terrible at leaping in these types of games, but not this time. Getting to the boss battle against Clockwerk did take practice, though.
    Favorite Trophy: Greedy Racoon.
Stealing from all of the Fiendish Five's vaults was what it was all about.

    20. Infamous 2
    inFAMOUS 2 Platinum Trophy
    7/8/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 1 year, 1 month, 1 day.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
First Trophy: Watch That First Step.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Pain Builds Character.
This is my first Platinum on my new Slim PS3 and what an incredible game among the all-time greats this is! The story, the powers, the choice of Good Cole or Evil Cole and the emotional ride all the way to the end. This is one game I will never forget.
    Trophy Difficulty: 5/10.
Easiest Trophy: Don't Fence Me In.
    Hardest Trophy: Pain Builds Character.
Not too hard or too easy. Beating the game on Hard takes skill and paitience, as does finding Blast Shards and Dead Drops. Almost all other trophies will be of easy to medium challenge. Don't fear the created missions either; they are easy to design and play.
Favorite Trophy: Fight The Good Fight.
Tear-jerking yet great ending. I cried the whole time.

    21. Little League World Series Baseball 2010
    Little League Trophy Champ
    9/17/2012

Total Time to Platinum: 3 days, 7 hours.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
    First Trophy: Rookie Pitcher.
Trophies That Earned Platinum: No-Hitter & Perfect Game.
This is my first-ever sports game Platinum and was extremely fun. It's easy to learn and tough to master with plenty of talent abilities and talent cards to mix things up.
    Trophy Difficulty: 4/10.
    Easiest Trophy: All-Star Talents.
Hardest Trophies: Dugout Dunker Pro, King of Home Runs, No-Hitter and Perfect Game.
Not too hard except for No-Hitter/Perfect Game and the Skill Challenges. Everything else, even the grinding, is easy.
Favorite Trophies: No-Hitter and Perfect Game.
What baseball pitcher doesn't dream of a perfect game? Tough as it was, it was worth it.

    22. Monopoly Streets
    Platinum Trophy
    10/14/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 1 year, 11 months, 13 days.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: Market Inflator.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Taking Over the World.
I have loved Monopoly since my grandparents taught me how to play when I was a small child. I loved the look of the boards, especially the 3D ones and the ease of play. However, online was a pain as almost everyone ragequits when you have them beat.
    Trophy Difficulty: 5/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Eviction Notice.
Hardest Trophy: Next Rung on the Ladder.
This list is tougher than it looks due to two factors: luck-based trophies like Lucky Threes and Rolled a 15 and the high instances of "ragequitting" online. Even if you don't normally boost, I highly suggest it for this game to save a ton of aggravation.
    Favorite Trophy: Expensive Property.
Acquiring Boardwalk gets you a trophy? AWESOME!

    23. Wheel of Fortune
    Wheel Fanatic
    10/24/2012
Total Time to Platinum: 4 days, 6 hours.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: Dress for Success.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Instant Millionaire!
This is one of the most fun Platinums I have in my collection. It's a great video game version of "America's Game". Pat Sajak and Vanna White are faithfully recreated and there are many puzzles to keep things interesting.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Dress for Success.
Hardest Trophies: Instant Millionaire! and I've Got a Good Feeling About This!
The list is mostly easy but requires about 70 wins to unlock all sets, props, clothing and logos. Instant Millionaire! requires extreme luck (winning a million dollars in one show) and I've Got a Good Feeling About This! requires you to solve a puzzle with only one letter revealed.
    Favorite Trophy: Instant Millionaire!
Tough as it was, it was definitely worth it to live every "Wheel Watcher's" fantasy: winning a million dollars!

    24. Sleeping Dogs
    Hong Kong Legend
    12/24/2012

Total Time to Platinum: 1 week, 5 days.
    Enjoyment: 10/10.
    First Trophy: Environmentalist.
Trophies That Earned Platinum: Event Planner, Pure Gold and Chief Inspector.
One of the great "sleeper hits" of 2012. As an undercover cop in Hong Kong trying to take down the Sun On Yee Triads, you battle cops, triads, your personal vendettas and the psychological strain of everything. The combat is fun and wild and there are many events and missions to do. Be warned: call Sleeping Dogs a Grand Theft Auto clone and you might get put through a phone booth by Wei Shen!
    Trophy Difficulty: 4/10.
Easiest Trophy: A Slap in the Face.
    Hardest Trophy: Pure Gold.
Not hard but getting 30 Gold Stat Awards and finding all 100 lockboxes will take both time and paitience. If you like open-world games, this is definitely the game for you!
    Favorite Trophy: Environmentalist.
Whoever thought up the "enviro kills" in this game desrves high praise and a lot of money from developer United Front Studios. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed shredding people in fans and phone booths.

    25. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
    Top of the Heap
    1/13/2013
Total Time to Platinum: 5 days, 15 hours.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
    First Trophy: Open Sez Me.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: The Super Orberator.
An incredible PS2 HD remake that has stood the test of time with its action and humor. The quests are many and varied and the mouthy Daxter always keeps things interesting with his advice and wisecracks.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Open Sez Me.
Hardest Trophies: Maximum Power! and The Super Orberator.
Not a hard game but having to go back after beating the game for Power Cells and Precursor Orbs took some of the fun out of the game.
    Favorite Trophy: Speedy Fast.
A racing minigame I'm actually good at? YEEEESSSS!

    26. Game of Thrones
    Platinum trophy
    1/30/2013
Total Time to Platinum: 5 months, 1 week, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 9/10.
    First Trophy: Disciplinarian.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Red priest of R'hllor.
Without a doubt, this RARE Platinum from this underrated tactical RPG is the CROWN JEWEL of my trophy-hunting career. This game was right up my alley with its tactical RPG combat system but it wasn't easy to master. I owe everything to 2 things: Shemhazat's trophy guide and an unwavering belief in myself!
The game runs a side story parallel to the first book in George R.R. Martin's series and feature two distinct characters with different fighting styles to choose from. I never read the books or watched the TV series but I still enjoyed the plot of the game.
    Trophy Difficulty: 7/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Disciplinarian.
    Hardest Trophy: Great Teamwork.
Getting Platinum includes hitting maximum level (15), going the entire game without a "guest teammate" being KO'd and finishing all side quests successfully. Get ready for a tough challenge!
    Favorite Trophy: Sworn brother.
Why do I prefer Mors's ending over the other two? Play and find out!

    27. Heavy Fire: Afghanistan
    Platinum Trophy
    2/19/2013
Total Time to Platinum: 6 months, 3 weeks, 3 days.
    Enjoyment: 7/10.
    First Trophy: Close Call.
    Trophy That Earned Platinum: Veteran.
This is my FIRST-EVER Platinum from a shooter. It's an easy rail-shooter where you shoot and duck enemy shots in fast-paced action. Even if you don't do well with first-person shooters, you might surprise yourself with this one.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Trigger Happy.
    Hardest Trophy: Veteran.
It's a good thing this was a VERY easy shooter because I never have a good accuracy in shooting games. (How did I miss that barn? AGAIN? The barn's right in front of me!) The game was a little tricky on Veteran difficulty but you learn how to do it, one way or another.
    Favorite Trophy: Trigger Happy.
I usually don't like "booby prize" trophies but I get rewarded for shooting and missing? YEEEESSSS!

    28. Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear
    Platinum Trophy
    4/15/2013
Total Time to Platinum: 2 days, 9 hours.
    Enjoyment: 8/10.
    First Trophy: Multi-kill.
Trophy That Earned Platinum: Radio Silence.
What's the best way to follow up my first-ever FPS Platinum? Simple: score Platinum with its sequel! Like Heavy Fire: Afghanistan, it's an arcade-like rail-shooter where you shoot and duck shots in fast-paced action.
    Trophy Difficulty: 3/10.
    Easiest Trophy: Multi-kill.
    Hardest Trophy: Radio Silence.
Like Heavy Fire: Afghanistan but a little harder with more enemies and destroying "special objects" (16 radios) in a single playthrough. Still, with enough practice, it can be done even by a "spray shooter" such as myself.
    Favorite Trophy: Slaughter.
Nothing like getting 6 kills at once to make my day.

    Platinum Wishlist

Dragon Age Origins (4 left, 87% of core game, 87% overall)
A Dark Promise, Sacreligious, Recruiter and Perfectionist are all that is left between me and Platinum on one of my all-time favorite games. Now that I have this again, I will finally finish the "evil path" and get the Platinum at long last!
Most Recent Trophy: Turning Point, 4/8/2012
Most Recent "Core Game" Trophy: Annulment Invoker, 6/7/2011

    Infamous (7 left, 73%)

Most Recent Trophy: Oh, You've Done This Before, 1/30/2012

Final Fantasy XIII (31 left, 5%)
I can't believe I only got 4 trophies from this, especially since my PSN name is a reference to a popular Final Fantasy weapon. Someday, hopefully.
Most Recent Trophy: Instrument of Flight, 4/28/2011

    Alpha Protocol (10 left, 73%)
Another game in a long list of "Critics hate it, I love it" for me. Unfortunately, I still have some of the toughest trophies left, including Hardcore, One With The Shadows and Thorton Inc. It would be nice to finish this one as I'm one of the few who truly enjoyed all aspects of this game.
Most Recent Trophy: Pistol Mastery, 10/11/2010

    3D Dot Game Heroes (36 left, 20%)
An incredible game that's incredibly difficult. It's also "Retro-meets-HD" at its finest. And I'm old enough to get the jokes! Wait, that didn't come out right!
Most Recent Trophy: Getting the Hang of It?, 7/11/2010

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (6 left, 77% of core game, 50% overall) and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (36 left, 20% of core game, 14% overall)
Who didn't like Star Wars growing up? I'll try to finish the first before moving to the second one.

Most Recent Trophy (2): Use The Force, Luke, 5/18/2011

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (36 left, 20% of core game, 14% overall)
This game is huge and epic. Need I say more?

Mass Effect (4 left, 82%), Mass Effect 2 (1 left, 91% of core game, 89% overall) and Mass Effect 3 (9 left, 66% of core game, 67% overall)

A fun collection of old arcade hits. I'll come back someday.
Most Recent Trophy: Family Man, 12/27/2012

An incredible and epic game. I'll keep at it.

A great fighting game. Someday, hopefully.
Most Recent Trophy: Buddy System, 5/8/2013

    PSN 100% Club

    1. Texas Cheat 'em
    8/6/2009
Fun and funny. It's a poker game with "cheat points" thrown in. Fun, easy little PSN game.

    2. Gunstar Heroes
    9/11/2009
A good Sega Genesis game brought back by the Sega Vintage Collection on PSN. My only regret was that it was a little too short, but I bought it for cheap.

    3. NBA 2K10 Draft Combine
    10/10/2009
Short yet fun. A small, cheap game based on the NBA Draft Combine.

    4.Frogger Returns
    12/28/2009
Frogger is simple. The only thing simpler than the game is the 4-trophy list for it. Still, it was fun.

    5. The Price Is Right
    6/13/2010
A fun time with my all-time favorite game show. Authentic pricing games and funny avatars. Seriously, nothing says cheesy like dressing your avatar in a leisure suit.

    6. After Burner Climax
    7/23/2010
Easy and short. Too easy and short, especially since unlocked cheats don't nullify trophies like they normally do.

    7. Blue Toad Murder Files
    7/29/2010
A brain-teaser game that's tougher than it looks. Thankfully, this site has a great trophy guide.

    8. Deathspank
    8/10/2010
A great Action-RPG that is truly a PSN gem. All hail Deathspank, man of bumbling heroics and crude humor!

    9. Linger in Shadows
    8/21/2010
The weirdest piece of interactive art I've ever seen. Interesting to look at, though.

    10. Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent
    4/22/2011
Fun time with good brain-teaser puzzles. And weird gnomes. And bad taste in hats.

    11. Faery: Legends of Avalon
    7/12/2011
I'm a big fan of classic turn-based RPG combat and this is as good as it gets this generation. Enchanting story (no pun intended) and beautiful worlds make this game "simple elegance".

    12. Golden Axe
    7/18/2011
An unexpected PSN 100% from the Sega Vintage Collection. One of the all-time greats in gaming.

    13. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse Episode 3: They Stole Max's Brain!
    8/29/2011
Hilarious series, if a bit weird. Fun, too, in the "point-and-click" style.

    14. Comix Zone
    8/31/2011
Tough but fun. An unexpected PSN 100%.

    15. Back to the Future: The Game Episode 1: It's About Time
    9/1/2011
I got this during the week it was offered for free (Episode 1 only). With some help from the trophy guide, I got 100%. Now I have the other episodes (Thank you, Playstation Plus).

    16. Altered Beast
    9/17/2011
Another unexpected 100% from the Sega Vintage collection. A great classic.

    17. 4 Elements HD
    9/20/2011
Extremely fun "Match 3" puzzle game that's easy to learn and beautiful to look at. One of the best puzzle games this generation.
Check out my 4 Elements HD Trophy Guide as well, everyone!

    18. Premier Manager
    11/8/2011
Who would have guessed that being a successful soccer GM in Europe would be so much fun? I loved every minute of this game. Easy to learn, too.

    19. Final Fight: Double Impact
    11/26/2011
This game would be worth the money for Final Fight alone but throw in the lost arcade gem Magic Sword and this is a must-have on PSN. A fun, great trip down Memory Lane.

    20. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse Episode 5: The City That Dares Not Sleep
    11/28/2011
My other 100% from Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse. A tougher 100% than Episode 3 but still fun.

    21. Back To The Future: The Game Episode 2: Get Tannen
    1/19/2012
Back To The Future Game series scores again for me. Fun time.

    22. Back To The Future: The Game Episode 3: Citizen Brown
    1/22/2012
The plot thickens for Back To The Future Game series and for me.

    23. Back To The Future: The Game Episode 4: Double Visions
    1/24/2012
Back To The Future Series hits the homestretch.

    24. Back To The Future: The Game Episode 5: OUTATIME
    2/4/2012
Clean sweep of the Back To The Future Series! Great Scott!

    25. .detuned
    4/13/2012

Interactive art meets annoying yet addictive theme song. Fun,
    quirky little piece of art.

    26. Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012
    4/25/2012
I had friends in high school who were good at Magic: The Gathering. At the risk of sounding nerdy, it was my turn when I bought this game and subsequent expansion. There is no guilty pleasure like playing as the Archenemy online.

    27. The Sly Collection Minigames
    5/21/2012
One of the most fun 100% in my collection. Easy to play.

    28. Flower
    6/21/2012
The most beautiful game of ALL TIME! A unique experience unlike any other that will move one and all to tears.

    29. Costume Quest
    8/1/2012
Traditional turn-based RPG meets Halloween, comedy and fun. An all-around fun time.

    30. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown
    8/31/2012
An unexpected PSN 100%. Fun and an easier list than most fighting games.

    31. X-Men
    9/1/2012
What a great classic from the arcades to relive. Fun time.

    32. My Aquarium
    9/2/2012
A relaxing game with cute fish. You don't even have to feed them, but that would not be right!

    33. World Gone Sour
    11/13/2012
Classic 2D platforming meets comedy and an exteremly lame narrator. Still fun, though.

    34. Sonic the Fighters
    2/6/2013
My fastest PSN 100% ever (25 minutes), and one of the most fun.

    35. Virtua Fighter 2
    2/20/2013
Another quick, easy and fun PSN 100%.

    36. The Cave
    3/24/2013

Fun time with a unique sense of humor.

    37. Fighting Vipers

    4/16/2013
Clean sweep of the AM2 Sega Saturn fighting game remakes! HELL YES!

Games I Hope to Play and Platinum

    Final Fantasy XIII-2
I'll try this after I beat Final Fantasy XIII.

    Rainbow Moon
An old-school RPG I have my eye on.

Icebrand fills the side columns, looking for the "Miracle Down Main Street" combo down the middle column and, wait a minute, wait a minute! He's hit a HUGE combo, 8 or more, and Robotnik is buried! Robotnik has only 4 open squares, Robotnik can't get a match, IT'S OVER! YATTA! YATTA! YATTA! There is Yatta! and here comes Platinuminary, the Platinum Trophy for Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection! THE PLATINUM DROUGHT IS OVER!
This was just his second trophy-enabled game when he first had it in February of 2009. He first scored a trophy for this on February 11, 2009 with Garden Gnomes. The "one that got away", his initial trophy-hunting spark, is now the 7th Platinum in his PS3 collection! Unbelievable!

Just to recap the current situation on L.A. Noire, ladies and gentlemen: Icebrand has gotten all the collectibles, done all the street crimes and 5-starred every case. All he has to do now is beat the game and he'll score Platinum on this incredible game.

    Special Shout-Outs

TheGeneral09: The first friend I ever had here and the man who invited me to be part of The Gimp Guru Army.

In2: For doing my 4 Elements HD Trophy Guide banner.

Athena: For doing my Trophy Checklist banner of the gorgeous Isabela from Dragon Age II.

Apokolypz: For doing my amazing sig of the first New York Mets pitcher to throw a no-hitter, Johan "No-Han" Santana. By doing this for me, he allowed me to relive my days when I was a small boy watching Mets games with my late grandfather.

John3007: One of the nicest guys you will ever meet in this world. A great friend.

Denaratuck: An elite trophy guide writer and a great friend as well.

Daftprophet: Another great friend and the first to inquire about my safety after Superstorm Sandy in 2012.

DragonWolfVII: Another great friend and a fellow RPG enthusiast who always encourages me to go for more Platinums.

TheMute88orl: A great friend who, by his openness about his struggles, helped me open up about mine and not be so ashamed of my past and what I struggle with.

User011010 and Great_Daze_Tazer: The 2 friends responsible for my PRO Membership. I could not have asked for a better Christmas present in 2012.

Backblast: In a pastime where 30 is considered "senior age", this 53-year-old gamer shows that you are never too old to pursue your passion. I can only hope to have that fire still in me when I'm 50, like this ageless gamer.

Esben-sej: The man who approved my membership into the First Achievers clan, a group for people who have hit the "First 50 to Platinum" on at least 3 games. It's quite an honor.

Lasombra: The man who raised my standing by interviewing me for The Lasombra Files. It was an incredible honor. He had no way of knowing this, but the banner he chose, the cover of WWF Wrestlemania Challenge (WWE's 2nd wrestling game ever) was my first-ever wrestling game, which was a nice touch.

Shemhazat: Without his Game of Thrones Trophy Guide, my rarest Platinum would not have been possible. THANK YOU!

ONUOsFAN: Now retired from the Trophy Guide Team, he authorized and approved my first-ever Trophy Guide, TV Superstars, allowing me to live my dream of being a published writer on the Internet.

Compalicious: Not only is she one of the greatest writers of trophy guides on the planet, she authorized and approved my 4 Elements HD and Hollywood Squares Trophy Guides. She also did the banner for my Hollywood Squares Trophy Guide.

Marccap: Another incredible guide writer who authorized and approved my Mass Effect 3 From Ashes DLC Trophy Guide.

A Final Thank You to my father who gazed into my eyes as a baby and put an Atari 2600 joystick in my hand so I could play Freeway. I was a gamer from that day forward.

Thank you, eternalunderdog! I hope to expand the wishlist in time with what is missing for each game. I must admit that not having the Lucha Libre AAA Platinum is something of a sore point as an indy wrestling announcer. Hopefully, I will attain this Platinum in the future.

If you can get through the story mode on hard you're half way there. But you will HAVE to get a boosting partner for the online, there is no way to do it without a partner it is dead dead dead.

Thanks Backblast! As two of the few who "get" Alpha Protocol, we also know how tough the Platinum is. I look forward to the day I join you in that Platinum club.

Thank you! I've seen your checklist and it looks great too.

    Stats are updated again.
2011 was my best trophy-hunting year EVER with 1,274 trophies, 7 Platinums and 11 PSN 100%s! To be honest, I'm suffering fron trophy burnout and an empty wallet, so 2012 probably won't be so massive. Still, I'll be here and earn trophies when I can and can afford new stuff.
I'll add some fun facts to the checklist soon. Until then, enjoy!

Thank you John3007! It's nice to see that someone noticed what I do in wrestling!
As I said, money is tight and my health needs tending to but I may just surprise myself. Infamous is one of the all-time greats in gaming and I have it on download from the Welcome Back promotion in June, so that might be doable. I may rent a few items from the list if I can afford to Gamefly in the future. Only time will tell where the trophy train leads; it may even be slow for a while but it will pick up again in time.
