    !!!Under Construction!!!
I will obviously be adding descriptions to the things listed below, short verdicts on the various PS3,PS4 and Vita games on the highlights list. I will also highlight my experiences in obtaining my miniscule Platinum collection, and highlighting those that got close to the promised land. I threw out pretty much any game I got less than 5% on to keep it streamlined, with the odd exception like Demon's Souls and The Last of Us.

Here are some typical pictures of me.

Hello! Welcome to a Trophy Checklist where I will probably go on about anything but trophies! Well, I might mention them somewhere, but I'll also feed my crippling addiction to writing lists for favourite things in popular culture (I was 2 years recovered until this site showed up).

Trophies are a fine addition to my gaming experience, but playing always comes first. If I didn't enjoy a game enough, I'm certainly not going to waste my time trying to Plat it. There's too many other titles out there I must play!
Many (some, a few) may know me as that guy with a balding Jewish man in his forum Sig. A guy who either tries to make jokes or vomit a small novel of opinion on various posts around the site, but I'm more than that. I am also a real life person who recently started writing for this dear site, and started the arduous, yet enjoyable, task of studying Game Design so that one day in the future, Ps360 can roll their eyes at something I didn't make for Nintendo. That's the dream.

Other real life facts about me include...

    1. I am 2 years married, with a 3 year old son
    2. I'm a stay at home Dad (for a little bit longer), this helps in writing and studying.
    3. I once stayed up for 24 hours playing Street Fighter II against a gaggle of friends and family. I remained undefeated the entire time.
    4. Metal Gear Solid helped me sneak away from the police in this empty athletics stadium under cover of dark. I was at that age.
    5. I was a SEGA fanboy till the death of the Dreamcast, I'm still a little bitter about the company no longer making consoles.
    6. I play as a Centre Back in Football because Tony Adams and Paolo Maldini were my heroes growing up.
    7. I really like making lists.

    Larry's Trophy Journey

It's been a long time since I first heard that wonderful ding! noise. It's a sound I still enjoy to this day. I may not go for Platinums (current average is just over 2 a year) all that often, but trophies have been a major factor in my continued gaming, they have ensured I seek out a wider variety of genres, and pushed games I'd normally dispatch after the credits roll just that little bit further. I can never truly regret buying, renting or receiving a game from Plus when I get the compensation of trophies factored in.
I attempted to start over with a new profile late in 2013, but I was lured back to my sonofvenom profile because it is part of my gaming story now, a tale of late nights, all dayers, frustration, wonder, joy and many, many litres of beer.

    Borderlands Platted!!
I started playing Borderlands in early 2009, got a little way in, and traded it so I could buy Killzone 2. When it became free on Plus a few years later, I started again and ploughed through it happily until I got the Plat on the day of Borderlands 2's release. Good co-op fun here, just a bit repetitive: 8/10

    Borderlands 2 Platted!!
I literally finished Platting the first game, went out, bought this one, and played it solidly for weeks, gaining the Plat within a couple of months. Borderlands 2 did everything better than its predecessor, the references were plentiful and funny, while the cast of characters were brilliant (Handsome Jack and Claptrap especially). One of the best games of 2012, and the PS3 generation: 10/10

    Burnout Paradise Platted!!
I'd been lazily poking around Burnout Paradise shortly before my Son was born, not sure if I'd get the time to invest in it once I became a Dad. As it happens, his crap sleeping patterns meant I was often up at night, downstairs with him so the Wife could get some shut eye. I would have him cradled in my lap as I conquered the Race Events and crashed up a storm on my way to only my second Plat and a refreshed joy in my gaming. Burnout Paradise kicked arse. It's my favourite racing game on PS3 so I'm glad I got to Plat it: 9/10

    The Darkness II (So Close!!)
Having got past what I believed would be the toughest hurdle (beating hard mode), I was eventually stumped by a pair of 'Do this thing x amount of times in situation y' trophies. I simply lost patience trying, and ultimately, fell short of the hallowed Plat ground. Really fun FPS with a good story though, I may go back and try again one day as I kept the saves, just in case: 9/10

    Far Cry 3 Platted!!
I was romping through Far Cry 3, thouroughly enjoying its anarchic nonsense, feeling confident I would be adding another Plat to the collection. Then the co-op came, and my struggle to get a game to finish without being booted, cut off or saddled with dullards for teammates. I let this bother me no longer, and abandoned the Plat hunt a few trophies short. Shame really, because Far Cry 3 is a vast improvement on the last one, then a year later, fresh from a discussion about rubbish online co-op, I vowed to give it one more crack. With some extra frustration thrown in from more rubbish team-mates and disconnecters, I plowed on until finally, I claimed those final online trophies, then mopped it all up with the 'Never saw it coming' singleplayer trophy to ensure Plat 17: 9/10

    Heavy Rain (So Close!!)
I adored Heavy Rain for what it attempted, not many games would have the balls to lean so heavily on narrative, it does just enough to ensure that it stands as a uniquely enjoyable experience. Even Though Beyond did the narrative side better, it didn't have the balance right like Heavy Rain managed. Sadly, mopping up the last few trophies was making the game stale fast, so I abandoned those trophies and left Heavy Rain untainted: 10/10

I was delighted to hear my favourite Playstation platformer was getting a HD re-release, and having completed the ever loving crap out of it on PS2, I found myself with the most pleasurably straightforward Platinum in my collection. In fact, when I got a Vita, I did it all over again!: 10/10

Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes Double Platted!!
This was the first proper LEGO game I had the pleasure of playing, and it sold me on the crossover potential massively. Easygoing gameplay, fun things to do and collect, and a great use of the DC license. This was a relatively easy Platinum to obtain, but I enjoyed every moment of it, when it came to the Vita version, I breezed through in under a week, but had a good fun with the pared down Bats: 9/10 (PS3) 7.5/10 (VITA)

    Lego The Hobbit
    TBC
    Lego Marvel Superheroes
    Joyful Fanboy noises: 8.5/10

The Lego Movie: The Videogame Platted!!
The film itself is pretty damn good, this Vita game is initially fun, but grates once you go on the hunt for collectables. The style of TLM:TVG is at least refreshingly different to previous Lego Vita titles, cutting up levels into smaller chunks and changing the view to an isometric one, also throwing in on-rails sections to break things up further. The problem arises in a severe lack of ways to check your progress with collectables. This leads to many an uneccessary load-up of levels. Still, it's fun as a throwaway title to spend a few days on, which, if my four day run to the Platinum is anything to go by, will likely see you land a fairly easy addition to your Plat Catalogue: 7/10

Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean Platted!!
There just isn't enough to the Pirates film series to fill out a LEGO game in the way someone like DC or LOTR can. Thus, LEGO POTC was a bit of a chore to finish, but I was close enough to the Plat to try for it: 6.5/10

    Lego Rock Band
    Goofy guitar fun: 8/10

Lego Lord Of The Rings Double Platted!!
After the humdrum Pirates, LEGO LOTR was a far more palatable LEGO game, open map, great use of a vast amount of characters, and there was plenty of joy to be had. The Vita version was a stripped down appetiser, but still retained the straightforward fun of it's console sibling. PS3 version was a tad tough near the end of the Plat run, some collectables were difficult to track down, yet nothing that deterred me, the Vita version was probably the quickest I've Platted any game, until LEGO Batman 2. All in all, very easy: 9/10 (PS3) 7/10 (VITA)

    PES 2012 Platted!!
PES 2012 is the pinnacle of the series on PS3, the massive improvements found in 2011 carried over and were refined. Online was the fairest, and most consistent it had been to date. This helped me dip into the various modes more often, earning me the trophies I just wouldn't normally go for. Here came my chance to add a Plat to my collection for a series I'd ploughed 1000's of hours into over the previous decade. Safe to say, I took the chance eventually, got slightly distracted and clocked up 430 hours of play by the time the final Ding! was heard: 10/10

    S
    Saint's Row: The Third Platted!!
Saint's Row is a series that compliments the slightly more grown up nature of GTA, I'm a fan of absurd, silly humour, so Volition's daft sandbox adventure was right up my street. Getting the Platinum was remarkably simple, and with little in the way of dull grinding as it was so fun to play: 9/10

Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse
    Funny Point n' Clicker: 8/10
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game
    Old-skool toughness: 8/10

SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (So Close!!)
A large portion of this collection form the building blocks of my gaming DNA so naturally, I was delighted to have another excuse to play them, sadly there were duffers like Flicky in there too. If not for those near unplayable filler titles, and some bloody infuriating trophies for the likes of Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, I would have strolled to Platinum here, alas, I couldn't bear to endure the chaff of Thunderblade amongst the tasty wheat of Sonic: 9/10

    Silent Hill Downpour
Best Silent Hill in years: 8/10

I was incredibly fortunate not to suffer the buggy horrors that plagued many PS3 gamers experience of Skyrim. As a result, this was the most captivating world I encountered on the system, and one of my absolute favourite games, not only on PS3, but in my lengthy gaming history. The Platinum was time-consuming for sure, but I don't regret a single second of play to get it: 10/10

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Platted!!
As a fan of all things Zombie, and the comic book itself, I went into TWD with great interest. Little did I know how damned captivating the whole experience would be. TWD is fantastic at probing your moral compass, and while the Plat is simply a case of finishing the game, you still feel like you earned it after being put through the emotional grinder by the end: 9/10

    WWE Legends Of Wrestlemania Platted!!
Aah, my first Plat. I only went for it as I believed the impending arrival of my son would nullify my gaming time, so I vowed to get at least one Plat before then. Three years and 16 Plats later, clearly, I was wrong! Not the greatest game in the WWE series, but enjoyable: 7/10

Cheers Good Sir! Jack Of All Tastes is me!

I have this constant urge to see, read, play and listen to as many different things as I can, regardless of genre. I'm a magpie of media.

There were certainly more books I put in the same bracket as those five, like Metro 2033, 15 Minutes, City Of The Dead, The Rats, The Stand and Lisey's Story. I also really adored Steve Martin's The Pleasure Of My Company, really delved into the mind of someone who feels socially fragile. Same goes for film and TV, keeping it to just five was maddening as I had to cut some fine stuff like Punch Drunk Love, Queen and Father Ted.

Is it bad if at first I thought this was a trophy list for a new LLL game?

Great setup so far, can't wait to read more about your gaming adventures. Big props for Timesplitters 2 shoutout; I personally can't stand FPS, but there's something about 2 (and 3 for that matter) that spoke to me. Between the challenges and the sheer amount of characters you could unlock, me and my sons played that forever. We used to spend hours making maps for us to run through, 4 player split screen, always on the lookout for end of match awards, good times indeed.

Getting the reference alone is pretty good! Kudos!

I think I summed up how I feel about Timesplitters 2 (Future Perfect was pretty damned great too!). It is a FPS made for consoles. Those unlockable characters were insane! It remains my biggest gaming wish to see 'Splitters revived, and kicking arse. As long as they didn't make those unlockables into microtransactions!

Oh, and cheers for the praise, I hope to get a bit more in depth as I go along. Already started adding the reviews to my A-Z.

Thanks man, I went for games that had an impact over time, instead of the basic greatest games list. A plus for this is that I can add a game I couldn't fit on the list, every birthday (as the 32 comes from my age), rather than chopping and changing every five minutes (because I would).

It was nice doing it as I got to re-live some old memories, and with some games, find an excuse to go and play them again!
