Just another small update. Tonight I finished getting the 5,000 kills needed for Mass Effect 3 which then led to platinum number 76 immediately after that as well as bringing the trophy percentage up to 100%.

I finally was able to experience the ending myself and have to say that I think people severely overreacted. Was it good, no, but it didn't make the whole single player experience a 2/10 either, nor did it ruin the whole trilogy. It certainly could've been done better. However, the journey leading up to the last 20 minutes or so of the game is what really stands out. I played all three back to back and by the time I was on the third game I was emotionally attached to the characters and the game really threw some curve balls. I won't mention anything in particular, but its going to be hard to find another series that will match that level of story and characters in the future. Also, the Citadel DLC really was a great piece of fan service and should be purchased by anybody who plays Mass Effect 3.

That pretty much echoes my sentiments. Having played all three back-to-back, I ultimately did not care about the ending, I was simply ready for it to end. Particularly after the endless Banshee spawn on Insane.

No other RPG (or story-driven game for that matter) has matched my experience with Mass Effect. It single-handedly ruined the RPG genre for me, not because it was in any way bad, but because nothing can measure up to the high benchmark set by Mass Effect.

Ah, the endless Banshee spawn on Insanity lol. I died several times there before I realized they continued to spawn and you just had to get to the missile control to end it. Other than that and a few other sections though the game was really easy even on Insanity using an imported ME2 character from the start.

As for ME ruining the RPG genre, I can see that as I told a friend that I doubt I'll ever find another game that will draw me in like the ME trilogy did with all of its characters.

I can see why people are mad about the ending because your choices don't matter that much from the first two games in the end. However, the journey before the last 20 minutes or so is what the trilogy is all about and what makes it one of the best series I've ever played.

Another small update. Last night I finished The Wolf Among Us for plat number 77.

I'm also sitting at 98% of level 24 on the PSN so only a few more trophies and I'll break into level 25 and receive a nice new platinum trophy on the site.

Congratulations once again on the new platinum! Wolf Among Us was really good in my opinion that brought a lot of excitement. They did a smart thing by adding characters they most people are already familiar with so character development isn't always important.

I know how you feel as my backlog still hasn't really taken a cut at all over the last two years. Hopefully when I finish school I'll get more time to play and go back to a lot of the games I wanted to try.

Congrats on Plat 77. I think this was one of the first checklists I ever looked at on here. Tis quite splendid Sir!

Hopefully you can get more gaming time in to visit that backlog!
