The Official Platinum Difficulty Discussion Thread

This thread is first and foremost a discussion thread, but it also has a poll. Please do not vote in the poll until you have earned the platinum trophy for this game. That being said, we invite you to post below and discuss the difficult aspects of the game, even if you do not yet have the platinum trophy in your collection.

When you post, give more than just a number. Give reasons why you feel the game is easy or hard. What parts of the game are easy or hard? Were there collectibles? Were they a pain? Is there a required online component? How easy or hard is the online portion? What is the most frustrating part about the game?

Once you have obtained the platinum trophy, feel free to return to this thread and post your official vote. Say something to the effect of "I give this a 2 because there was only one tough spot and the collectibles were easy to find". At this point, you may also add your vote to the poll.

The poll is public, meaning everyone can see how you vote.

3 - Moderate. I played Uncharted 2 first, which definitely helped me know what to expect from this game. Just like Uncharted 2, some parts on Crushing are quite challenging, but overall the game is easy. The collectibles were much easier to find in Drake's Fortune than they were in Among Thieves.

I just platted this game a few days ago. Great game. Kicking myself for waiting so long to play it. I played on hard right on my first playthrough and didn't find it that bad. My crushing playthrough was not that difficult. I only got stuck once on chapter 4 by the plane and in the water room on chapter 5. Other than that not to bad at all.

Blue room man... I BARELY got through this on hard... I'm too scared to even try crushing (also I'm hunting other plats currently..)

I give this 3 Moderate. Finding some of collectibles is tricky and Crushing mode is actually tough but due to the aiming being a little off. The rest of the trophies are easy.

2 - Easy. Crushing was a little challenging at times, I hear the underground level was hard for some people, it's really not hard when you've played the game a lot and know the enemy spawns

. The collectibles can be difficult to find, but there's like 60 of them I believe and using as guide makes it very easy.

2- The collectibles were hard to go back and find due to the game not having a list like U2 collectibles.

I give it Easy. I never really had trouble with the game except for the boss on crushing, but after you know his moves and such you'll have it down pat

2. Easy-Crushing could be difficult at a few spots in the game but even then, most of it was quite a breeze. Plus, the collectibles felt like it took up half the trophies anyway so there's not much else to do.

that water room was my only problem as well. so many guys in such a tight place with little to no cover

Moderate: I finally finished this one up today. Beat Hard early this morning and 5-6 hours later was done with Crushing. So not to bad... couple spots in the first few chapters gave me some troubles but it was no where NEAR as horrible as I kept reading. Still great game...just treasure hunting becomes tedious it seems..

Moderate. I considered giving this game a 2, but I decided to give it a 3. While most of the trophies are easy, crushing mode does have some challenging parts (like that damn water room).

3 - Moderate, leaning a little closer to easy

Chapters 4 & 5 on Crushing are difficult, I had to do the plane crash section and blue room several times, but all in all it wasn't nearly as difficult as I had psyched myself up about.

I say this game was hard. Crushing was difficult for me from the time I started until the last shot was fired. Those pirates at the end were like Terminators. The blue room took me forever to get by. Pissed me off to find out later there was a glitch to help make that room easier.

I voted for Easy. I ended up playing it three times in succession, so by the time I got to Crushing, I knew exactly what to expect. There are a couple of tough parts (water room) but the hardest part for me was the last boss and his super shotgun.
