In addition to new IP, Take-Two will release new entries to their proven franchises – meaning games like “Grand Theft Auto” and “NBA 2K” will find their way to the next-gen, as well.

We also have an extraordinary pipeline of titles in development for next-generation platforms, including groundbreaking new intellectual property and releases from our proven franchises,” Zelnick shared. As of now, the only new IP that we know of is Agent, which made an appearance years ago at a Sony E3 press conference. That could be one of these major titles.

Atomic Ninjas Coming Soon to PS3 and Vita

Today, GRIP Games revealed their latest project, Atomic Ninjas, a 2.5D action platformer that will be making its way to the Vita and PS3 later this Summer. You might recognize the developer’s name from last year’s Foosball 2012 which saw a release on both the PlayStation 3 and Vita as a Cross-Buy title. Atomic Ninjas will come complete with multiplayer support on the PlayStation 3 or if you’re more of a loner, you can go the single-player route on either platform.

Save files can be carried across version, implying that Ninjas will support the Cross-Save feature like titles with a similar feature set have in the past.

Games in Atomic Ninja are played out in a one of seven modes with staples such as Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, and Treasure Hunt among them. In Atomic Ninja, you’ll need to utilize the environment to the best of your ability because killing each other outright is restricted. This means various environmental hazards will come into play when trying to defeat the advancing enemy forces. Coming this Summer.

Ubisoft Puts Hold on 1666

The company has ceased work on the game 1666 following the firing of former Assassin's Creed designer Patrice Desilets, reports VG247. "After more than two months of discussion with Desilets, we couldn't align our vision both on project development and team management, so consequently our collaboration has ended," said CEO Yves Guillemot during an investor call. "We have suspended development on 1666 for an undisclosed time."

Desilets had departed Ubisoft Montreal to work for THQ, but returned to the company when it bought the IP rights for 1666 at the THQ auction in January. He departed the company last week. The indefinite suspension of production is believed to have been initiated by Ubisoft to prevent the 1666 IP rights from returning to Desilets.

Guillemot also revealed that Ubisoft will release two more unannounced games in 2013, one of which will be a new IP for the company. You can check out that article here

Revamped Putty Squad Coming to Vita This Summer

Impossible Mission and Powerplay Pool publisher System 3 has announced that it will reboot and release SNES hit Putty Squad on the 3DS and PS Vita, as well as on iOS, Android, and Windows 8. For those of you who don't know about this game, it released back in 1994.

"Working on such a prestigious title again and to bring it up-to-date, brings back many great memories. Fans of the original are excited to get their hands on the return of the morphing blue blob hero," Mark Cale, System 3's CEO, said.

Putty Squad is an action-packed platformer in which you take on the role of a morphing blue hero called Putty. As Putty, you're tasked with destroying enemies and freeing your fellow putties, collecting stars that increase your attack power and unlock new abilities along the way.

This version of Putty Squad will feature revamped visuals and enhanced gameplay. System 3 has promised that free downloadable levels will be made available post-launch, too. Putty Squad will be released on 3DS and PS Vita this summer. Mobile versions of the game will be released a "few months" later.
