Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to Receive Seasonal Events

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has had a successful launch on the last-gen consoles, bridging the gap between Borderlands and Borderlands 2. Like the first two games in the franchise, the Pre-Sequel will be supported long after release in the form of new DLC add-ons. However, it will also receive free Seasonal Events for players to explore. Starting with the Halloween-themed Bloody Harvest Celebration (ending on Monday), players will have the option to look for new exclusive loot, fight new boss battles, and collect re-designed character models.
  • Candy Cash: Instead of dollars, players of Borderlands: TPS will now collect piles of candy from the stashes of their fallen enemies.
  • Pumpkin Scavs: Instead of the normal psycho-esque Scav bandits plaguing Elpis, these Halloween-themed enemies will be present throughout the game, festooned with pumpkin-head masks to spook and scare Vault Hunters.
  • Bloody Harvest Barrels: Festive explosive barrels that deal elemental damage to nearby enemies.
  • UN-Deadlift Boss Battle: Deadlift lives again! Venture to Regolith Range to do battle with this zombified pumpkin-headed boss battle and win exclusive Halloween loot.
  • Jack-O-Cannon: This exclusive weapon can only be claimed by defeating Un-Deadlift at his Halloween hideout in Regolith Range.

Driveclub PS Plus Edition Postponed Indefinitely

The PlayStation Plus Edition of Driveclub, which was supposed to be launch alongside the retail edition nearly a month ago, has been postponed "until further notice," according to President of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida.

Since its launch, Driveclub has been plagued with issues, mostly pertaining to its online functionality, effectively locking players out from many of the game's social and online features, and delaying the launch of the PS Plus Edition.

Today, in a letter posted on Driveclub's Facebook page, Yoshida-san apologised to fans, but assured them that developers Evolution were working around the clock to fix the various issues.

We will continue to update you on progress and you can find the latest info on the DRIVECLUB Facebook page.
Unfortunately, he also confirmed that the PS Plus Edition of Driveclub was delayed indefinitely.

Prey 2 Cancelled

During PAX Australia, it was confirmed by Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines that Prey 2 has been cancelled. Pete Hines statement as follows:

“It was game we believed in, but we never felt that it got to where it needed to be – we never saw a path to success if we finished it. It wasn’t up to our quality standard, and we decided to cancel it. It’s no longer in development. That wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one that won’t surprise many folks given that we hadn’t been talking about it. Human Head Studios is no longer working on it. It’s a franchise we still believe we can do something with — we just need to see what that something is.”
