'GTA 6' - Will Players Return To Vice City In 2017?

Is “Grand Theft Auto 6” coming in 2017? Speculation began when Rockstar announced GTA V for PS4, Xbox One, & PC last month. Though Rockstar didn’t confirm “GTA 6” was in the works, it didn’t deny the rumor, either.

Some reports say the next “GTA”
game will return to Liberty City, a fictionalized version of New York City. Others say the “GTA VI” will take place in more than one city, and yet another rumor claimed "GTA 6" will take place in Vice City, a fictionalized version of Miami.

It’s also rumored the title will release in June 2017, though, as usual, Rockstar hasn’t responded to any of these rumors. Earlier this week, a Rockstar employee took to Reddit and debunked the alleged release date, saying the company was hard at work on another game. Still, this doesn’t mean “GTA 6” isn’t in the works for the future.

“We’ve got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do,” President of Rockstar Games North Leslie Benzies told Develop last October. “We don’t know what ‘GTA VI’ will be, but we’ve got some ideas.”
Leslie Benzies stated GTA Online is the focus right now.

"There ain’t no rest between finishing ‘V’ and then Online. Plus we have some other things -- stuff, DLC, I don’t know how to describe it exactly -- that we’d like to do, and we’ll pick the right ones.”"

Sony Gamescom Conference set for August 12.

Essentially Europe's E3, Gamescom is the other big gaming show of the year. Naturally, the big 3 console makers like to hold back on revealing all of their new games at one show, so they portion them out among E3, Gamescom, and TGS.

The latest news from the home of PlayStation involves the date of their initial press conference. The media briefing is currently scheduled for August 12. Will there be any new surprise announcements? Major new IPs from Media Molecule or Guerrilla Games?

Visceral Reveals 10 Changes Coming to Battlefield Hardline

Visceral has revealed ten changes it's planning to implement in Battlefield Hardline before the game launches in October.

The full list on the Battlefield Blog reveals what players have been asking for following last month's beta test, and how the studio plans to act on these.

1. REDUCING FREQUENCY OF EXPLOSIVES
We have heard your complaints about breaking the cops and robbers experience with the amount of heavy explosive weaponry available – but we didn’t want to sacrifice fun! We’ve made changes to reduce the frequency of explosive use to focus on the core gameplay, and we’ve made the use of explosives much more believable now.

2. REBALANCING AND RENAMING THE MECHANIC CLASS
We’ve made the class better in more situations – without sacrificing his ability to take down a vehicle. We’re also looking at renaming it – post your favourite suggestions in the comments!

3. REVISITING THE IN-GAME HUD
We’re working on establishing a clearer visual difference from BF4 and improving the messaging of the in-game HUD, from objectives to player status information.

4. REVISITING THE CUSTOMIZE SCREEN
We’ve taken a new pass at how the customize screen is laid out, and are making it clearer and easier to manage your gear and weapon attachments. This should address the majority of issues reported.

5. MAKING THE WORLD DEEPER AND MORE INTERACTIVE
We’ve been working on adding more touches to the game world, giving players more options and things to do that impact play. Look for interactive objects like doors, radios, ammo lockers, and more!

6. MAKING ROUNDS LAST LONGER
A significant amount of feedback during the Beta was received regarding the quick progression of rounds. We’ve made tweaks to both Heist and Blood Money that should help make the experiences last longer without sacrificing any of the fun.

7. INCREASING TRANSPORT VEHICLE HEALTH
There were a lot of comments about cars dying too easily from gunfire. We agree that one magazine from the AKM should probably not turn your sedan into a 4-person death trap quite so easily. We’ve also increased the survivability of the utility van.

8. IMPROVING AUDIO SITUATIONAL AWARENESS
In some of our game modes, situational awareness is very important. We’re working on improving the audio cues in the environment to help you detect and locate your enemies before they do the same to you.

9. MEDKITS AND AMMO BOXES SHOULD NO LONGER BLOCK L.O.S. CHECKS FOR REVIVE
Previously, you could fail to revive someone if a medkit or ammo bag was blocking the line of sight check for the revive mechanic. We are fixing this so that these no longer block you from reviving.

10. IMPROVING INTERROGATION
We’ve worked out some changes to the T62 CEW and the Interrogation mechanic. We’re working on making Interrogation only show enemies in a radius around the captured enemy, but show the marked enemies as if they had been Active Spotted by a teammate – making it both more useful and less powerful at the same time.

The Last of Us Remastered - New DLC Planned, Photo Mode

Naughty Dog has revealed during a presentation what improvements the Remastered version of The Last of Us has compared to the PS3 version.

The Last of Us Remastered lets players lock the game's visuals to 30 frames per second. It includes all major add-on content released so far, that will be Cross-Buy between PS3 and PS4. Another feature is Photo Mode, similar to the one in inFamous: Second Son, which features a free camera and filters. There is also some new DLC, most likely multiplayer focused, set to be released this year.

  • 1080p/60fps in single-player and multiplayer
  • Texture maps are 4x more detailed, shadow maps 2x
  • Higher resolution particle effects
  • Occlusion mapping of decals
  • No texture streaming
  • Longer draw distances, better LOD
  • Additional Audio options
  • Lock frame rate at 30 fps
  • Swap trigger and thumbstick controls
  • Support for DualShock 4′s touchpad, light bar and speaker

Additional content that is included on the game disc:

  • Abandoned Territories MP DLC
  • Reclaimed Territories MP DLC
  • Left Behind SP DLC
  • Grounded difficulty setting
  • Cinematics commentary track with Neil Druckmann, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson

The Remastered edition will have it's own trophy set, so if you are angling to add to your Platinum collection, you can double up on The Last of Us. The trophies are identical to the PS3 original. The platinum requirement is the same 23 trophies as the PS3 version.
