Final Fantasy 14 is a MMO Role-Playing game that was first released on the PC that is being completely remade for the PS3. Final Fantasy 14 will allow players to create their character and allow them to choose what race they want to be. A Realm Reborn is set in the world of Hydaelyn, which is specifically set in a region called Eorzea.

Today Square Enix, has announced the release date for their game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which is the latest game in the series will be releasing on PS3 on August 27, 2013 for $39.99. Also revealed by Square Enix is the Pre-order Bonuses and Collector's Edition of the game. When you pre-order Final Fantasy 14, you will get early access to the game before launch, a mog cap for your character, and a cait sith doll minion. Finally Square Enix also revealed the collectors edition for the game. The collectors edition for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will cost you $79.99.

The last Need for Speed to release was Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which released on the PS3 and other consoles last year. Now with E3 coming up, EA is gearing up for their conference, so that means new games are going to be announced.

For the past couple days, EA has been teasing the announcement of the next Need for Speed game. Today, EA has announced the next Need for Speed game in Need for Speed: Rivals. Need for Speed Rivals will be set in the open-world of Redview County and the game also utilizes the Frostbite 3 engine. Rivals will allow players to play as either a street racer or cop. Rivals will have a new feature added called AllDrive, which will allow friends to enter and exit each other seamlessly and on the fly. The game will see the return of Autolog and upgradeable gadgets for cops and street racers. Need for Speed Rivals will also see the return of the Ferrari. Need for Speed Rivals will be coming to you from developer EA Ghost this time around, but in collaboration with Criterion. Need for Speed Rivals will be releasing for the PS3 on November 19, 2013 and will also be releasing on PS4 at a later date.

When Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 in 2005, EA was one of its biggest supporters, offering a slew of games at and around launch. Familiar titles made the 'next-gen' jump, including Madden and FIFA – two franchises promised for the impending Xbox One and PlayStation 4 era. EA's 2005 launch offerings, however, were woefully lacking in features and instead focused on graphical fidelity. Will Rivals – across current- and next-gen platforms – offer the same, fully-featured experience?

"The simple answer to that question is no," Nilsson said. Though he wouldn't specify any content potentially removed from next-gen versions, the former DICE executive producer noted "the next-gen consoles will have different capabilities and in some aspects, a different feature-set." Other than the enhanced graphical fidelity – including new weather effects – and an increase in online player counts on next-gen platforms, no specific differences in content were revealed. Nilsson did confirm, however, that the size of the world will be the same across all platforms.

The major difference between the current- and next-gen versions of Rivals, according to Nilsson, is one of developer philosophy. "It's a mindset of how you think about how people will play these games. To me, visuals are great – absolutely – but unless you can use that power to play that game differently, then we failed." To ensure success under this philosophy, Ghost and Criterion are "pushing" a feature called AllDrive, which allows friends to enter and exit each other's worlds seamlessly and "on-the-fly."

"AllDrive is fundamentally a way for us to destroy the line between playing alone and playing with friends. Destroying the line between single-player and multiplayer," Nilsson said, before offering a use case scenario for the system. "Imagine you're playing Rivals, you're driving your car as a cop chasing someone. You're going through your progression, collecting points and then I join and we're friends, so we'll be put in the same world." Though the world is "pretty big" and each player can complete single-player tasks, they exist within the same environment and the "two experiences can merge."

If each player enters separate pursuits at different points in the world and eventually come across each other on the same road, Rivals transitions into a co-op state. "The game recognizes that now we're playing together and changes the scoring and changes the objectives for you, to acknowledge that you're now playing co-op," Nilsson adds. Depending on the amount of people you encounter or chose to play with, the game will adjust by providing new variations to play the game. "That to me is really a new mindset and where I think we wouldn't have gone to unless we started thinking along the lines of the next-generation."

AllDrive, however, is not exclusive to Xbox One and PS4. "AllDrive will feature on current-gen and next-gen but there will be differences," Nilsson added, explaining the next-gen's ability to include more online players and "some ways of interacting with that game from different devices." The producer further clarified – citing the Xbox One's second-screen SmartGlass app – the team's intention to build players "different ways to interact with the game instead of just sitting in front of a TV."

Nilsson said he could not go into greater detail and could not tell us what side of the fence the game's PC version will fall on.

Criterion's social tracking system Autolog returns for Rivals, though Nilsson revealed the teams have decided to "move it back a notch," saying it was maybe taken "a little too far" by comparing too many elements in Need for Speed Most Wanted. "There's also great possibilities through Autolog to build something far bigger than what we've seen [in Most Wanted and NFS: Hot Pursuit]," the executive producer teased.

Today Housemarque has announced some interesting news for the PlayStation 4. Housemarque who made Dead Nation and Outland, has revealed that they are making a spiritual successor to the PSN game Super Stardust HD. They also revealed that the game will be exclusive to the PS4. The successor don't not have a title at this time. Housemarque is also working on another game that will be exclusive to the PS4.

Today Techland has announced another new IP that will be for PS3 and PS4. The new game that was announced today is called Dying Light and it is a new zombie game from them. Dying Light is a new zombie game that takes emphasis on Parkour in the game. The game will also have a realistic day/night cycle. Day in the game is described as a preparation phase, which means you go out and scavenge for supplies and craft weapons. Night on the other hand will make players take a stealthier approach and a swift homeward retreat from the deadlier monsters. Combat in the game is largely based on upgradeable melee weaponry. Fighting frequency drops once night arrives, which is when faster and more powerful creatures come. Players' will be able to detect these monsters with an on-screen pulse, which is one of the abilities you have by happening to be an infected human yourself. Dying Light will be releasing on the PS3 and PS4 in 2014.

Coming in 2014 to both current and next-gen consoles, Dying Light feels like a zombie action game through the lens of DICE’s parkour classic Mirror’s Edge. The pessimist in me assumes that we’ll never see another Mirror’s Edge game from EA, so the prospect of another developer building upon the concept of first-person free-running is certainly exciting. Much like the 2008 cult hit, the initial moments of the Dying Light demo I saw placed an emphasis on building momentum, finding open paths throughout the environment, and trying to reach your destination in as efficient a manner as possible.

But while Mirror’s Edge encouraged the player to avoid combat at all times, Dying Light empowers you to fight back with the tools to dispatch foes when need be. Through a crafting system that’s currently under wraps, the player was able to attach a battery to a machete and create a blade that electrocuted any unfortunate undead that found itself near the sharp edge. The combat certainly looked polished, but the real reason this game stood out was because of the free-running.
Techland was coy in revealing specific narrative details, but the architecture and general layout of the world has a decidedly South American feel to it. Dense urban sprawl, miles of angular favelas, and a smattering of tropical foliage gave off a very Rio de Janeiro vibe, which is absolutely perfect for the free-running mechanic. The world is absolutely rife with improvisational routes and paths.
We do know that Dying Light will feature multiple protagonists, with at least one of them being infected by the virus that started the zombie outbreak. Couple this with confirmed co-op play and what devs at Techland describe as, “incredibly difficult decisions that the player will have to make,” and you can get a good feel for what sort of a story Dying Light is trying to tell.
Intriguing events liberally peppered the demo, and provided some great moments of world-building. The hero heard the cries of a little girl when he passed a building, and the player could choose whether to investigate the noise or simply press on to their primary objectives. Shortly after, he came across a cache of supplies that was being raided by a group of armed soldiers. You’re given the option to give up the spoils and avoid conflict, or fight for the precious resources. But while these moments were great, they felt incredibly scripted and prescribed. Techland promises that Dying Light will be full of dynamic events, but it was hard to gauge that claim during this early look.
While all of these events took place while the tropical sun was blazing overhead, Dying Light lives up to its name by incorporating a day/night cycle that decidedly changes the way you have to play the game. As Techland put it, “You scavenge throughout the day so that you can survive the night.” When the sun goes down, the typical zombies that roam the streets become the least of your worries. Suddenly, a new type of hunter appears that’s much faster and more lethal than the undead.

These creatures, which look like hulking bipeds with mandibles, have heightened senses, meaning that you’ll want to quietly navigate the city during the night. The demo ended with our hero getting spotted by one of these super-beasts, and having to scramble through the labyrinthine alleyways in a desperate attempt to escape the seasoned hunter. It was a thrilling, energetic sequence that highlighted why Mirror’s Edge provided such a unique gaming experience. Here’s to hoping that Dying Light concentrates on flight over fight.

Also, Season pass purchasers will also receive access to the Abzats, a semi-automatic shotgun rifle with a devastating secondary fire mode that unleashes six shells in one blast. First their EA Sports branch recently revealed FIFA 14, NBA Live 14, UFC, and Madden NFL 25 for the PS3 and that they would be coming to the PS4 as well. Before that they revealed Battlefield 4 for the PS3 and confirmed that it would be on the PS4. They also revealed the release date for Battlefield 4 as well. Finally EA also revealed their brand new EA Ignite Engine.

With EA talking about its sports games and new engine today, along with revealing the release date of Battlefield 4 for PS3, they can finally discuss some details about E3. Today EA revealed that they will be talking about the next-generation of Need for Speed, which they revealed earlier this month. EA also said they plan to discuss the details of the Star Wars licensing deal and what their plans on that are. EA got the license for Star Wars earlier this month. It has been rumored that DICE and Visceral new Star Wars games using the Frostbite 3 engine and that BioWare is going to continue to work on the franchise. The game that was revealed was Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will have a new story, new setting and a brand new cast of characters for you to get to know. Call of Duty: Ghosts will also feature a brand new engine for next gen consoles. Call of Duty: Ghosts will be releasing for the PS3 on November 5, 2013 and on the PS4 at a later time.

Today Infinity Ward released a new trailer that gave gamer's their first look at Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS3 and PS4. The plot of Ghosts is that America has been crippled by a superior force and that whatever is left of the remaining branches of the armed forces have united to form a special unit called Ghosts. The story for Ghosts is written by Stephen Gaghan, who wrote movies like Traffic and Syriana.

Now in most Call of Duty's the player always comes across dogs as enemies when they chase after you or as a killstreak in the multiplayer, but in Ghosts this time around you have one that follows you around throughout the game. Infinity Wards says the dogs will be used to sniff out bombs, attack enemies, and much more. They also said they plan to attach players emotionally to the characters and their canine companion. Leaning, Sliding, and Leaping will also help your Ghost soldier more maneuverable.

Now as for details on the Multiplayer their wasn't that much, but they did reveal some. The first detail about the multiplayer is that the maps will be dynamic. Infinity Ward stated that earthquakes, floods, and other traps that are player driven will affect the flow of the map. An example of this would be a truck that is holding a load of pipes being loosened by enemies. Finally multiplayer will also see character custimization, which means you can choose what you want your player to look like, whether that means changing what they are wearing or what you want the head to look like. Lastly, Infinity Ward released a reveal trailer for the game.

Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin took the stage to explain the basic plot. America has been crippled and is fighting against superior forces. The remaining branches of the armed forces have united, forming an underdog force called Ghosts that the player is part of. The story is being penned by Stephen Gaghan, creator of Traffic.
Speaking of underdogs, a canine companion joins the player throughout the game. This war pup sniffs out bombs, attacks enemies, and more. Infinity Ward hopes players attach to this dog emotionally. The team even extensively mo-capped actual soldier dogs and researched the stories of these furry veterans.
Along with an engine overhaul, Infinity Ward is also revamping multiplayer. While the developer isn’t going into many specifics, it did highlight dynamic maps. An example shown was a truck’s load of huge metal pipes being loosed on enemies. Rubin also mentioned earthquakes, floods, and other player-driven traps affect the flow of the map.
Infinity Ward spent a lot of time comparing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 side-by-side to Call of Duty: Ghosts. As to be expected with next-gen hardware, the new game looks much better. Character models are much more detailed, fewer polygons are visible upon further inspection, and lighting looks amazing. Infinity Ward offered a walkthrough of a jungle environment to demonstrate the new engine’s capabilities. Sun rays peak through the foliage above, a creek babbles quietly, ambient insects and birds fly along, and rocks in the riverbeds show impressive detail. Displacement mapping allows these riverbed rocks to go from flat textures to detailed geometric shapes based on your proximity. Another new technique called sub-d turns jagged polygonal curves into perfect circles, such as the curve of a pilot’s helmet visor or the iron sights on your weapon. These enhancements may sound minor by themselves, but together they make a convincing demonstration of the benefits of next-gen.
Finally, we watched an underwater gameplay sequence. Two Ghost soldiers swim along vivid coral reefs, teeming with colorful plant life and fish going about their business. The duo encounters another set of enemy soldiers. They take out the threat with timed shots from their waterproof rifles. Eventually a loud pinging noise sounds overhead. A huge submarine passes above, which feels reminiscent of the Star Destroyer’s introduction at the beginning of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The player takes down the huge vessel with a remote-controlled torpedo from within the ruins of a sunken lighthouse. The concussive blast knocks him unconscious. When he comes to, his oxygen tube has been severed and his buddy works to free him from pinning rubble. The protagonist is freed, his air supply is fixed, and they begin their swim to safety as huge chunks of the destroyed ship rain down. The demo ends as their escape is interrupted by a descending group of enemy divers.

Activision’s demonstration of next-generation technology makes a compelling case for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The story behind the Call of Duty games have been hit and miss in the past, but the addition of a proven filmmaker may help Ghosts. We were impressed by what we saw of the new engine, and look forward to learning more about the changes to multiplayer leading up the game’s launch on current and next-gen systems.

The latest trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist that was released recently focuses on the co-op play in Blacklist. In co-op you play as Sam Fisher and his Fourth Echelon partner Isaac Briggs. The co-op in Blacklist is made up of four different mission types that are spread across fourteen different maps. Grid 2 is the latest installment in the racing series. Grid 2 will see a lot of new features added to the game. One of those features being the TrueFeel Handling System. Grid 2 will have players' race all around the world in places like Paris and and Dubai. Grid 2 will be releasing on the PS3 on May 28, 2013 in North America and May 31, 2013 in Europe.

In February, Sony had a special meeting, which in the end turned out to be the announcement of the PS4. At that meeting, Sony revealed a bunch of new IPs and even new entries into some of their exclusive series like Killzone and inFamous. They also revealed that Diablo 3 would be coming to the PS3 and PS4 and that the PS3 and PS4 would be getting exclusive content for Bungie's game Destiny.

Today, Sony has released a teaser video for their E3 Conference. The teaser video that was released shows off a blurred back square object in the background with all the symbols going over it. At the end of the video, its says "See It First." That is then followed by it saying you can see it on June 10, 2013 at 6:00 PM PT. You will be able to watch the conference live on the PlayStation Blog and PS3.
